I wonder what happened in the past Sal became such a hugh Trump fan?
You're defending him like he is some kind of uncle or even your grandpa....

Normally I don't care about politicians of other countries as long as they keep their nonsense out of the country where I live....but this guy is beyond anything I have seen in my life so far refering to a serious leader of a "modern" country...

He is acting and tweeting like a 13 year old boy...I would laugh the whole day if it wouldn't be so sad for the american people...

"America first" already shows what is in his mind and how he thinks about the rest of the world (yeah...there are topics which are important for ALL countries...).

Wonder what the world's reaction would be when the next german chancellor would say "Germany first!"

And no....to be honest, I have yet to see ANYTHING he did well in the last years for ALL americans...not just for those who, like himself, have enough money or own a big business.

What did he handle well for the poor? For the "normal" citizens?

The only luck he might have in novembre is, the democrats do not have a serious candidate...that is because the USA doesn't seem prepared for a gay president or a female president...yet...that's why the only serious candidates seem to be grandpas....Biden and Sanders...sad...

@JollyJoker What I know is: if I was an american I would had voted third party in 2016. Never Hillary, Never Biden, Never Trump.

I'm not sure if you qualify Brasil as a modern country but he has at least two serious contestants, Bolsonaro and Boris Johnson.

For all of the griping people do about Trump, I think he really represents the American stereotype quite well:  loud, flashy, obnoxious, arrogant, and obstinate.  It's fitting that a nation so concerned with reality TV series ended up with a reality TV host as its leader.

Why shouldn't our leader put our country first?  Millions of Americans are tired of globalism and propping up other nations.  Let them deal with their own problems so we can finally focus on ours.  Also the implication that "America First" is as worrisome as "Germany First" is absurd.

And of course you haven't seen anything he has done well because you have chosen not to see it.  It doesn't help it's buried under avalanches of media negativity either.  But I'll help you out: Historic unemployment among all demographics, roaring stock market, energy independence, and the First Step Act to name a few.

I think people are calling the game too early, just like in 2016.  It will be interesting if Trump can bounce back from losing his trump card (yuck yuck).  It will also be interesting to see if the outcome of the Russia probe investigation will have on the election.  If he loses, it took an incredible series of events to finally take him out.  If he wins, dude is bulletproof.

I almost pity Biden (as much as I pity any politician) for being little but a prop at this point, many hoping he dies or resigns before taking office to pave the way for a VP.  He really backed himself into a corner claiming he was going to nominate a woman.  It's limiting and if he doesn't pick a black woman in the current environment, he will alienate a lot of people.  That doesn't leave him with a lot of popular options at the moment.

As to your final point about the Dems, I agree.  They lack the conviction to put up a different candidate because "anybody but Trump."  Both parties direly need some fresh ideas but are too afraid of losing to fight for them.  If Trump does win reelection, it will be very interesting to see who is thrown up in 2024 because neither party offers much at this point.

Since HC became a cocoon of Trump derangement syndrome daily posting garbage. It's almost educational to see those peps going full hysteric as soon as someone puts a grain of salt in their black and white reality.

And ... sleepy Joe as alternative? You must be kidding.

I am not surprised most EU countries have a negative view of Trump, with 100% daily negative coverage. Each time I ask someone criticizing him "name me a single positive thing he is praised for", he just can't. Then each time I ask a person why he doesn't like him, that person will parrot headlines he superficially read, but he never went past them, a headline comforting his obsessions is all he needs.

Trump did not have a single positive article since 2016. Not a single one. If this is not looking like propaganda, what is then. So there is nothing to be proud or link, it's just worrisome about the state of our press.

He has a crapload of positive press by all those right-wing ultra-conservative blockheads. And he's on the up with all the right-wing blockheads. Which is where you seem to feel home and comfy.

And just between you and me - you don't need any press or media, you just need to see live coverage, hear what he utters, notice what he does and how he destroys the country he's supposed to lead, how he isolates said country by antagonizing everyone...

And do you see Merkel's numbers? I mean, come on - she is a CHRISTIAN Democrat, the PARAGON of a conservative. Not a liberal or left-wing conservative, nor ultra-conservative or right-wing. Just a middle-of-the-road textbook conservative with principles. Next to Trump she looks like a moderate socialist. And what's more, like a politician with honor and a feeling of responsibility.

Trump? Is leading a corp and the one thing he's interested in is the board of directors.

I'm confused with what is going on in America. I simply can't understand what is the people's deal with the protests, hearing their statements makes no sense to me (like what is actually their problem? And I don't mean gaudy slogans like "whites are bad", "racism is everywhere" or "we need justice"), or many other things regarding happenings in recent years in this country. I think the country derailed hard from what I've known about it until now. But there's one thing I heard about Trump. From my point of view  he is an idiot, because only idiots spout nonsense like him, but on the other hand I heard it is good he won the presidency, becasue if it was Clinton we would have USA-Russia or even World War 3 on our hands now.

Believe it or not, Trump is actually pretty popular in India and even China where far, far more people live, but I'm not sure if that really means anything because those generally aren't good models lol.

https://qz.com/india/1805524/trumps-approval-ratings-have-never-been-better-in-india/

Basically what I'm saying is that popularity is a stupid metric to care about. People usually vote with their hormones. Indians don't like China, Indians and Chinese like to talk **** at each other on social media, and Trump is tough on China, ergo they like Trump.

We should just have a socially responsible leader and not care how popular she or he is, although I'm not sure if it's a good idea for men to have the legal right to vote. We need to rethink that policy.

Nah! That's misinterpretation. Hillary was a well known warmonger but her business was weaponizing the middle-east and South America conflicts to fuel the American weapons production.

Most people are all emotions and no brain. Mass media and politicians know this; and exploit it. Nothing new, not for a looooong time.

Minion your lovely BBC throwing a flat lie about Trump:

This is a great thing' for George Floyd

CNN same narrative

New York Times, at three we lie better

"Trump began his Friday by drawing criticism from Democrats for declaring that new unemployment numbers made it “a great day” for George Floyd, the black man ."

Reality: Two different videos timelines are put together, an usual procedure for those psychopathic liars. Trump is NOT talking about economy when he made the comment, but about justice equality :

"Equal justice under the law must mean that every American receives equal treatment in every encounter with law enforcement regardless of race, color, gender or creed. They have to receive fair treatment from law enforcement. They have to receive it. We all saw what happened last week. We can’t let that happen. Hopefully George is looking down right now and saying, “This is a great thing that’s happening for our country.” It’s a great day for him, it’s a great day for everyone. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality. It’s really what our Constitution requires and it’s what our country is all about."
