Dr. Carson also signals the end to his candidacy, I assume Rubio will follow soon.

Rubio wont quit, he is the only one representing the actual reasonable Republicans. Ted is conservative, but he is Tea Party which means he will not work with anyone - from neither party. He just wants to keep anything from changing at all. Both parties hate him. Rubio is reasonable enough, although his views are archaic.... But he could compromise.

The new Republicans don't want any compromise - they wont let Obama fill the vacancy in Supreme Court when it is their duty! They would rather see the system crippled than uphold the Constitution. This is a new development which is scary.

Come on, obstructionism by Congress is nothing new. Do you honestly think that if the parties were reversed, the Democrats wouldn't be doing the same thing? It's just politics. Either the president will win the game of chicken or Congress will. It's not some kind of new development.

LMAO,  watch this, and I mean WATCH it, don't stick your head in the sand here.

Chuck Schumer on Bush's court nominees.

EXACT SAME SITUATION!

The hypocrisy is mind boggling, and it is freakin everywhere. You say "scary new development" I say "selective memory". I am getting really,  really sick of the double standard, normally I can ignore it and move on, but this is too much.

Now go ahead and make your excuses. Please enlighten my poor uneducated mind as to why it was different then. I am sure that there is a reason, because arguing with anyone who is completely on one side is akin to slamming your head into a brick wall repeatedly, and there is nothing I could do that would crack your nifty set of tinted lenses.

*yawn*

All of Bushes nominees were heard by the Senate like they constitutionally should be, and furthermore they were all appointed. The current Senate wants to keep the place vacant for almost a year. That is way longer than it has ever been.  He's not said even once that the Senate shouldn't hold hearings on any Bush nominees. You know, the way the GOP is doing. That was also a weirdly cut clip from his speech...

But if you don't mind the Supreme Court not being functional for almost a year then by all means don't. I wonder what happens if there is another fiasco in the general election like in Bush vs Gore and Supreme Court should decide what to do...

You really amuse me, lol, keep at it.

@Corribus. Well I doubt dems would be this obstructive, not even have hearings? They would do something but I doubt they will go this far. Just speculating though.

huh. i just read up on something that was puzzling me. i apparently never understood that there is actually a snowing "establishment". the snow?

i was curious why the term was constantly being used in election reporting. also apparently, the term "establishment" means something different from what it used to mean. did the repubs actually steal a term that was used by hippies, and make it their own? kinda like how black people did with the "n" word? (we really need a WTF smiley. at this point, we need a WTFF smiley)

Yup, that is what I expected. All that comes of such things is a headache. Don't know why I try anymore.

And I don't know if Cruz can beat Trump. Kasich was lucky to get his home state to keep him alive.

@ stevie: you don't understand. the only thing that'll burn if trump becomes president(which he won't), will be the u.s.

he'd turn everyone against us; far worse than bush jr ever did. bush jr didn't have people from other countries hating him BEFORE he was president(aside from saddam, possibly).

you're looking at a REAL axis-of-evil with that one. with hillary, you're only looking at the complete degradation of american society. it's already up it's own ass with political correctness; hillary will worsen that by far. she will divide the american public right down the middle; she'll do pretty much the opposite, as when obama came into office.

remember when obama became president? that group feeling that something went right for a change? however illusory that feeling was? prepare yourself for the opposite. she may be much worse than bush jr ever was. we'll have to wait, and inevitably see.

the only way i see trump winning, is if hillary sees something negative due to her release of secret information. but i doubt it. people in power get away with just about everything. as long as they're keeping palms greased or pushing an agenda, anyway.

Well, looks like it is indeed gonna be a Donald vs Hillary election. US politics hits a centennial low point.

A) If Sanders had 3-6 more months to build steam he probably could have beat her. The Democrats in the South never were going to be very amiable to him but he could have swept up the north and west coast.

B) If Trump didn't have 500 alternatives running with him to split up the votes. The angry voters seems to be more heavily concentrated in the east; especially the south. Trump never did gain too much popularity where I'm at. People in Mountain Time have better digestive health. Or we're just too politically apathetic.

I don't care if it's the worse possible scenario for the u.s alone or the entire world, I just want to see anarchy and desolation. Leaders impaled on the streets, corporations and banks burned to the ground. I want to see the anger and the rage reaching civil war levels, because that's not only deserved judgement, but also needed cleansing.
