Last I heard H6 did reasonably well and that M&M:X Legacy was the one that did bad.
I really hope that the reason the budget is so low is due to someone high up embezzling all the money and not the fact that they they rate the series so low that it isn't worth anything more than a this. It is kind of sad that I hope that the money somehow got stolen and not just simply this badly invested.

Actually, in the first place Ubi did not even show pictures of creatures for the voting. Why? Because there was no artwork. But the crucial thing you people forget is that the fans wanted pictures despite the fact that Ubi had none. In that case, yes, Ubi made a mistake by providing pictures that were not official (as it appears that artwork was done after the 3D model was made/recoloured/etc.) but at least Ubi pointed out that it is not official art, but something to have in mind while voting. And if they didn't provided the pictures fans would rage that they do not know for what creatures they are voting - which actually happened. Thus, I agree that we can blame Ubi for many things, but this is an exception. Self-deluding people and the people not paying enough attention to read and process the information have deceived themselves.

They should have stopped right then and there and first create that artwork before even considering putting the line-up up for voting. The actual voting wasn't just a shot in the dark, it was actively being misguided by the artwork they did provide.

Despite the fact that you are right, what about strider? It wasn't ready at the time. I believe that we did not have his general-direction-picture on the blog if I remember correctly...

I know that they made a huge mistake by not providing the artworks, but as I already said, they apparently wanted to do the recolouring of the chosen models first and then create artworks... However, that leads to another question: Why did they bother with artworks if the units are just recoloured? Why not spend the money somewhere else, like into new creature model, TS, or anywhere else...

yeah it's all a weird, shady game of deception and manipulation they chose to play, if they learned anything from Necropolis they would have known to tell us upfront that they would reuse all applicable H6 models, instead they decided to fail to acknowledge this fact at every opportunity and string everybody along for no logical reason lol

Strider has almost insectile appearance being tall and gaunt, with long arms and legs... But in reality it looks completely humanoid as we have seen(I wouldn't call those arms and legs all that long compared to rest of the models/humans)! You are right about it not having picture back then, but it did have some description about it which IMO doesn't match the reality. And about medusa, you say they didn't have picture/concept yet? All they had to do to be realistic about it was to take screenshot of h6 pearl priestess and slap the work in progress sign to it. It would have been dead on that way, unlike they ended up doing. The only reason they don't do that is that they know how much h6 was hated and how much copy-paste units annoy people when they don't even get good game-play to compensate. Early on they kept going on and on about using their resources on more important things, but I have yet to see the important things when it sure as snow wasn't used on game-play features at least.

While I agree about what people are saying about Strider's introduction (though I remember Kaspar said something like "there're conflicting records about his appearance" etc), I do not understand the rage about Medusa. What, even if they presented a different artwork, we didn't know they will copy-paste naga priestess? We didn't see it coming?
Or what, they wouldn't be copy-pasting Manticore as well? So what's the difference, both were gonna be reused models.
Did somebody really thought that Medusa would be archers?!
I stand corrected, faction vote was before Necro reveal. Question removed.

Yes I do and it will most likely be delayed (it's Ubi's tradition). And what's the connection with the survey? In this case, you need petitions.
How can a survey improve this franchise?..

Uhhh back during the voting the necro bullsnow wasn't revealed yet so no, I don't think anyone was thinking about the possibility of just re coloring h6 models for all of dungeon.
