I believe Council members outrage caused the Necropolis unit visual update.
I was a proud member of the Sandro's hate spewing posse that spammed the Ubi site.
Anyway, the game is getting butchered on Steam.
That is going to hamper sales alot, unfortunately.

@ThatRedSarah: Thanks, glad that you enjoyed the video  . It took me a few tries to get it all going (I kept messing up in my commentary), fortunately all went well when I started opening the box, because from that moment forth I couldn't try again anyway...
I like the goodies, too bad that the artbook isn't "complete"  . But it serves its purpose as a glimpse at the art of H7.
I don't know when I'll buy a new or additional pc. Could happen soon or in x year(s). Until then, the game has time to develop, and I'll just have to download everything at once.
Yes, those four are library books  , I borrowed them a week ago, and I still have plenty of time to return them. The pile with a pink-cover book on top is mine, they are exhibition catalogues. The other pile consist of comic books, with random stuff on top. I always keep library books on that corner, in full view and easy to grab  .

Butchered might be a bit strong word though it did drop from top seller to tenth slot in one day(to games that aren't even new). It has mixed reviews on steam with about 20% more negative reviews compared to positives. On metacritic it's also mixed by players with 6,9 user score while critics have average of 75 there. Overall it seems to get pretty average scores roughly around 7. Not bad, but not good either as many write.

the game is clearly not ready, as expected.There are just so many bugs some of them existed in the beta and they are not fixed yet. It screams ''rushed''. All bad reviews are justified 100%, but still i think there is potensial in Heroes 7. Sadly we have to wait for patches cause the game is a mess right now.

Waiting for the game to get patched properly is a good idea. You are in no hurry with the new computer 
Exhibition catalogues... For like art exhibitions? You really seem to like all sorts of arts. Especially paintings and such. You probably live in the Rijksmuseum

I know i ll be considering as a conservative and maybe put the finger on an ancient injury, but the release is an opportunity to say to devs that we don t want a new game.

I do want a new game, the problem is that I want quality from the game(especially the game mechanics). I don't want another h6 or h7 which I find rather boring and lacking on so many aspects. I wouldn't mind new expansion to h5 either if new high quality game is out of question. Better to have little more of high quality than lots of low/medium quality

Ugh... so I finally got the chance to play the game today, and this is my story:
So it starts up, I spend 3 - 5 minutes staring at a stain-glass window loading screen, only to have the game lag like mad and then crash in the main menu. Not to be deterred, I tried again, same thing happens. Looked up on the forums, made sure I'm using my Nvidia card, made sure Uplay is in administrator, verified files, and it worked! So I played a map just to see the game (wasn't in beta) and I could see a few things that needed work, but I was just happy to be playing. Quit to main menu to play a different map + faction - slow down to crawl and crash. Sigh. Ok, one more time...
Load up game, 3 - 5 minutes staring at that stupid stain glass window, everything in the main menu lags like hell again, and crash...
Well that's me for today. One thing I did like though was that non-human heroes get their own model. Ok it's not a unique model, but it's a step in the right direction. Asad appears as a Rakshasa, Darkstorm appears as a Minotaur, Murazel appears as a Seraph. Pretty much the only positive thing I could take away from this whole snowy experience.
Also, is there no way of JUST using steam instead of uplay popping up all the time as well? The game itself is ridiculously RAM hungry so I'm sure that doesn't help.

I think a H5 expansion is what many of us "oldtimers" want - give us dual hero classes for each faction, throw in Sanctuary and smooth out a bit of the rough edges still remaining on TotE, and you'd have pretty much the perfect Heroes game.
But of course developers can't do that, reviewers are already critisizing H7 for "pampering to the conservative fanbase" and "not bringing enough new to the table"; the press even seems to buy Ubisoft's marketing scheme that they have listened to the fanbase and given us what we want in the development of this game, just look at the abstracts in the review thread.

New game with mechanics improved from H5 ToTE, a few innovations not hindering the original experience but adding to it, visuals more in line with NWC's universe, no absurd lore ****ting on icons, quality budget, I even pay 100 euros no problemo, buy CE and everything.
Right now, H7 just looks like "H6 can't shine because of features from another time, fans are so annoying", features which seem to be catastrophically implemented.

Yep count me in. Double the price, but make it with polished H5 mechanics and H3 atmosphere and visual style. Add something new into it without sacrificing or limiting the old aspects if "new things" are needed.
I dont know much about game developing or coding, but it doesnt feel like an impossible task. All the important pieces of the puzzle have been invented and done. But somehow Ubi keeps failing hard with these games...
