I wouldn't relax just yet. We don't know how many balance people cheated, and will have no idea until the 30th.

First of all, great to have an official statement! So at this point, none of the current numbers are accurate and we will have to wait until the 30th of September to get the "true" results? Well at least switching to a different line-up in order to vote against another one will be pointless now.
I'm not sure if allowing only one vote per IP address is the right way to go, for instance my brother and I both voted from the same IP (for different line-ups though) and this would prevent us from both having our own vote.
Oh well, at least I hope people will accept the outcome now, I will do the same.

Just read this.
And I'm afraid now that my vote, my brother's and my cousin's would get deleted that were made from the same IP. Legitimate votes from public IP's like Internet Cafes or wireless would also have to suffer.
It's a shame. The cheaters are to blame. I'm glad the devs took some action and addressed the issue with a blog post. Thanks.

I think it's good that cheating is looked into, even if I hope that Fury does come through as the winner in the end. Marzhin I do hope that you've also brought the other thoughts we had regarding the poll to other people - most specifically, hiding the scores until after the poll is closed is probably one of the remove people's incentive to cheat.
On a related note, I hope the controversy regarding this vote will make you consider the way the general vote was designed (like, make us pick freely among the creatures instead of giving us fixed line-ups that each has some issues that make us dissatisfied), but I guess that's less likely to happen.

So, am I to understand that the percentages shown on the site is the vote tally including cheat-votes?
Also, I am pleasantly surprised that Marzhin and I, so far, have shown to exhibit similar tastes. Even though we may have different reasons for it.

I think the best option would be to stop the voting, purge the cheating votes and reopen it for a couple of days with the new system in place.
Right now we are blind and without reaction time. It is ok that people vote for their favourite independently of any strategy (anti fury strategy for instance) but that should have happened from the beginning. Now all the vote is conditioned by incorrect numbers.
Worst is that I think cheating will be marginal and fury will still win, but now strength and balance don't even have the chance of joining forces.

That won't happen (and for the best).
These are line ups made and approved by Ubi/Limbic gameplay and lore wise. If fans are to vote each unit on each tier any random nonesense combination might result.

I think people will be surprised how little cheating affected the polls. Quite happy if Fury will win, on the other hand.

I dont agree with you. Fury will be third faction after clean-up.
I remember the insta-jump from fury and it wasnt the only time it had such jumps.
Btw vitirr has a good point, people change votes over updated scores. So, this means every faction is standing on their own now.
I suggest devs to hide percentage of votes now, since we all know this also includes cheaters votes, it may misslead people.

yes agree with the specific part from Cybercafe!
But not convinced by "i have cousins+ mothers+ sisters+ grandmother+ friends.... who don't have computers and vote on my PC".
I don't say you're not telling the truth but your cousin should have a computer and your brother too...
Nowadays one person = one PC we don't live in mother Russia and it's the end of the Communism's era
I would add this is not a provocation, but we live in a capital-intensive world.. so the one vote per IP is legitimated....
But i understand your gripe comrade

Except thoe that do live in russia. Besides different computer does not mean different IP adress. Also wifi router and wireless devices in general make the 1 person=1 computer theory silly.

Didn't have to be long. Give us a list of potential units and let us choose 3 cores, 3 elites and 2 champions we like.

We have 2 laptops and 1 desktop. But one internet provider via modem, so we share the IP. So how many computers we have is irrelevant, because the IP is the thing that counts here.
It's not the optimal solution, imo. I myself would've opted for a class IP ban which is usually the best way to deal with these kind of situations. Same IP voted 10 times in the last 30 minutes? Ban 192.142.XXX. He can refresh his IP as many times as he wants, only the last 3 change, and it won't matter because all instances are banned. You can ban the area, or the provider specifically. It's not that hard actually. What would be a bit hard is identifying the threats.

Read carefully guys! Votes from the same ip are not banned for this poll, only for the next ones. So if you share an ip address, just change your ip address or vote somewhere else, like at work.

they should remove the opportunity to re-vote as well
also hide the exact percentage, instead showing just 1st place 2d, 3d
to give idea who is winning but not by exact percentage
