Also, I got around to read the three chapters of Haven history. It was quite well written and I enjoyed it.
The question is, can the dialogue for the game be written as well as this story?

I have a suggestion for the devs to make it steam friendly with workshop implementet, so that we could "easily" mod the game later on.
Yeah.. I know ubi has its uplay thing.. but if they want to go big, I really think it would be a good idea.

Yes if written by the same guy.

Probably not, and more importantly, if everything is going to be told through dialogues instead of written text, you'll never get the depth necessary to make it interesting unless we get loooooooong cutscenes, and we don't want that either.

Marzhin, the author of those texts, is also one of writers for Heroes VII, so this may imply a similar quality of plot as those texts.

War-overlord, I am truly greatful that there is still some voice of reason! I agree with you completely, that new rare resources are much more sensible than the old ones.

Solution - bring back textboxes and mix some cutscenes whenever it helps to tell the story!
Having finished the second campaign of H4 today, I appreciate how immersive a good story can be with those, simply superb

i wonder,is this game popular beyond its fans? has it gained new fans from the more recent installments? Is this game considered a chance for success and profit, or a game with a heavy history that HAS TO be made and of course in the meantime it will earn a profit?
NOTE:It's very late here, and i wonder about other things too in life so don't take these questions that serisouly

I'm doing Stronghold and Sylvan (I would have done Fortress if the Dwarves had been voted).
As for campaign length, it is variable (contrary to how it was in H5 and H6). It depends on the story we have to tell But I'm sure we'll have opportunities to talk more about the campaign on the Open Dev Blog in the future ^^

Aaand the vote closes. Now the toughest part: waiting for the official results Also, before we learn the official statement, I'd like to appologize to Fury voters for accusing them in cheating. We all know all sides did it one way or another. Everyone is guilty, so to say

The most successful game in the series in terms of sales was the fith part, so it probably brought many more people to this franchise (like me). Although the sixth one had a strong start, it did not gain such popularity (from obvious reasons). Now we will have to wait a year and see what will the game look like. If it is good, like HoMM5, the sales would increase and maybe establish a new bestseller.
