Yes but HOW do they justify it? After H6 genies started taking growth hormones to get all buffed up for H5 or what? Not that I personnaly imagine them to be half-giant in size but they do need to get bigger to actually see them. The gargoyles as well.
That ING video is so bad I honestly didn't recognize the genies at first, they simply blanded into the background.

How does it confirm anything? We only got the info what units there are, not which category they fit in. The idea of Apprentice being Elite resulted from the general opinion it should be. Which is an opinion I did not share ;-).
Isn't it somehow confusing that the mage are named apprentice in the first place? Doesn't the word mean somebody in learning = not really that good or strong.

Maybe they have to prove themselves something fierce before they can be accepted into apprenticeship?

Does it realy matter though? I mean, in Haven we have a Large Creature in all 3 tiers. I.E. The Dire Wolf, The Cavalier, The Landsknecht and The Seraph.

Depends on how you look at it. If you take into consideration the number of large units then no. there will still be 4 of them in the lineup.
But if you use this to think about the factions unit distribution, you end up with some interesting variables that could mix up the potential gameplay a lot.

No, no one confirem that.
But look at previous HoMM games: HoMM2 - lvl 5 unit, HoMM3 lvl 4, HoMM4 lvl 2, H5 lvl 4. Mage always was middle tier units and I don't think it would be changed in HoMM7.
Also Disciple/Apprentice/Carpet Seller is name for basic creature and from its upgrade avatar we can assume that it would be so kind of mage.
Oh, and I wanted to point most only, that H7 Djinn is the same size as Golem - 1x1.

Why should they? In my opinion, new genies look fine. Thankfully, they have heads, in comparison to HoMM 5 djinns. Also, they are no more that muscular - nice abs were supposed to be domain (I am talking only about Academy) of Titans and Rakshasas, and them only.

come on guys!! was there any doubt, the golem or the golem with wings gargoyle wouldn't be cores? i mean really? did anyone actually thought that these two would be elites?
I'd setle for an elite golem though, and the mage being a core.
Djinns are great this time. they were supposed to be H6 djinns if academt had made it but i'd want them bigger. they don't need brawn to take 4 squares. they are djinns that can be as large as they like. why make them human sized?

I know that gargoyles do not resemble the ones that are on gothic cathedrals, but they still look more like sculptures that some robots.

Well I'd be a bit disappointed if Apprentices were to go in Core. I always liked Magi to be powerful
