Maybe in M&M 8 then, we close to Sandro event.

So just to make a bit of hijacking of the thread I'm just curios how many people have pre-ordered the Might & Magic heroes 3 HD edition since were like 3 day's away from launch (today being 25 January and launch is on 29)
And also just to give a half full half empty glass thing last night I had in mind to reacquaint my self with H6 Necropolis. So after 3 failed attempts of getting the game to start I start the DLC Sandro missions (the vanilla necropolis missions and story is just Twilight but worse) it bugs out when the AI attacks my secondary hero and I flee … so getting to the point. H6 is so buggy and broken that the chances of playing a mission/map with the necros (and/or other races) is slim to zero and taking in account that always online component of H6 known as Conflux might get discontinued one day well that makes H7 the only place where will the get to see and play with Lamasu and the rest of reused assets. So imagine that there is no H6 and this are new units might help ... just maybe …
P.S.
I'm just imaging the A.I. and Scenario Script having a conversation that caused my bug out
A.I.: Yeah the hero fled I win the player is may b****
S.S.: Nope wrong hero
A.I. What do you mean wrong hero ?
S.S: Wrong hero player had 2
A.I.: No no no I made the bony hero controlled by player flee I win
S.S.: Yeah sorry wrong hero
A.I.: But no player hero … I killed ... I win I'm the best …
S.S.: Well no mater how much you whine you still haven't fulfilled the mission objective
A.I.: That's not fair my mission objective says kill hero of player I didn't know he could build more then one
S.S.: He can and he did so live with it.
A.I.: Come on pleas lest just pretend that I was poorly programmed and just you know let it slide
S.S.: Yeah … no , not going to happen
A.I.: Oh come on I swear you are more difficult and unstable than my girlfriend
S.S.: Nope not going to happen … and you have a girlfriend
A.I.: dam … yeah I do have a girlfriend is Conflux .. we are both so alike and have so much in common …
…..
Meanwhile the player (me) is like:
Well unicorn poop I think the game just went off the rails better use the end of the world spell …
Have a pleasant Sunday every one … because tomorrow is Monday and we all dread it … except if your Stevie and expect new info on Monday form ubi ...

Spear is almost identical. Shape of tip is the same.
Knee guards are the same.
Boots are almost identical.
I don't see much diference other than colour sceme.
The bigest diference in those 2 units is the stance. And if you can't see past the stance I'm sorry. You see diferences where there are none. The diference between Sentinel of H6 and Sentinel of H7 is LESS than diference between H6 and H7 Lich.

Zombie-Wizzard, you are right to claim they are pretty much similar but the problem with the Necropolis is the repetition of very disliked and unwelcomed units rather than the repitition itself. This is not the case with Haven units and a knight faction is destined to have a quite traditional look anyway. A very unorthodox and more Dugeon-like than Undead set of units making their way back in, despite all the reaction to the H6 Necropolis is entirely another matter.

Not agree, Lich have less or almost equal changes than Sentinel. Vampire totaly the same.

A bit more, or a bit less change, that's not the point. Let's not start bickering with each other on such pointless details, I do think Artu sums up the point pretty well, the problem is not so much in the re-using itself, but in re-using the bad things. It seems among the members on this board at least, that there was pretty universal dislike for the H6 Lich and Vampire, so obviously we must convey that message clearly - particularly if relatively minor changes like those shown in Minastir's images can actually make a significant difference. Good thing that we both have fan insiders and team members like UbiNox reading along here, because if we send a strong message, then there is actually a chance of it getting through.

I see your point, and I get it. Thing is I was personaly quite dissapointed with Haven also, when I saw it's almost the same as H6 one. It occured to me then, that all factions which appeared in H6 will be very similar. I will not be surprised if H7 Dungeon and Stronghold will allso be along these lines.
When I later created forum account, I was surprised that people acualy accepted this and liked Haven. Now I admit. I like it aswell - but that's understandable since I like H6 art style in general to begin with. This does not mean, I can not be dissapointed when seing same units the second time.

As for me, I like Vampire at 90% because I haven't choise  as now we have new Ubi's Necropolis style. But as to Lich, I like it much less because I see that the current model have more potential for the minor visual changes to better way.

Been thinking about this and with only 3 returning units in Dungeon, we'll get plenty new ones at least.
