No, I keep telling you guys what we need is more Octopus with an Octopus version of Asha worshiped by undead Nagas! I mean from the 1994 Spiderman cartoon we learned that Octopuses are the natural enemy of spiders, therefore a rival cult of Necromancer drinking Namtopus ink to gain immortality!
Ok jokes aside I would seriously like to see a Naga Vampire some day.

I think the problem is way worse than him not hearing the message, which I'm sure he has. It's just that he doesn't want to listen to it.
Even so, I think ridiculing should go as far as you don't become ridiculous yourself. And I hate to say it but I don't want the people that invited community members to think in hindsight that they've made an terrible mistake in doing so.

I think people need to remember that "the community" =/= "the fanbase." I was a fan of the series long before I joined the "community", and there have been times where I've gotten annoyed with the "community" because of conflicts with my own fan perception of the series. Also, the "community" needs to remember that there ware plenty of "non-community" voices being heard on the blog as well.
EDIT: In other matters, saw that interview parody video... even as a pro-spider fan, that was hilarious! No joke, I fav'd it on my account!

Well, voting can be wrong in other ways than fake votes. The "best posts" system is self-supporting in the sense that once a post gets to have most votes, it will be seen by most people, which again gives it even more votes etc. A different post that might in fact have been just as good may go completely unnoticed simply because it was posted at another time and didn't get votes and go to the list. So while posts with many up-votes do indeed show a post with much support, it's not necessarily the *best* post.
