You know what we really need? We need a Heroes game to finally address the Spider Cult as dark and twisted misinterpretation of Asha. I mean, it is, it is even stated so in the lore, it is outright described as taking a metaphor too literally, but Heroes VI presented Necromancers as misunderstood heroes. So did Dark Messiah, but at least then it was a plot twist, for snow's sake!
While I understand it wasn't that bad during the Second Eclipse, others still did not even defy Spider Cult's beliefs, no one called them out on that once. I hope that the loss of Belketh's guidance will allow this cult to get out of hand and present a darker twist on Necromantic techniques, because while I don't mind the spider idealogy, Necromancers being presented as goodies-in-two-shoes is really annoying.

Problem is its not exactly a Misinterpretation which is the funny thing about it in my opinion. They do actually worship Asha's death aspect and she is okay with it.
Considering the Spider Goddess tries to impede your progress in Dark Messiah you know because urgash and her are enemies since she is an avatar of Asha's death aspect. Of course the common populace in Ashan does not have the information that we as players have and of course they consider it a twisted misinterpretation.
Plus look on the bright side! Normally when demons start kicking they are normally first to put them down. Considering they are the spider cults most hated enemy and they normally do this by slaughtering the local village raising them as undead and then throwing them at the demons. Asha uses all so its alright!

There was no spider aspect before Sar-Elam described Asha's rules Life and Death, by saying something along the lines of "it is kind of like a spider".  Literally the only thing about her that resembles a spider physically is an embodiment of her nightmares, which... is hardly Asha herself.
As far as I'm concerned, Asha's fine with pretty much anything as long as it has no relation to her brother, so it's all the same to her. They are anomalies anomalies on that metaphorical "web" - and Elrath's light, which is supposed to guide to the truth, hurts them.
But alright, even if it's only others that consider them wrong about Asha's nature, why is it not reflected? Why didn't we saw any of the factions making a good case against them? They're not the only ones to worship Asha, but the game fails to get that point across. That's what's bothering me.

I recollect that Spider Queen was well known in Shantiri Empire.

I am less interested in a cult and more into power hungry individuals or neutral practitioners with their own motivations. Cult has manifesto written all over it, which is tiresome. Ashan has too much preaching as it is.
But what's wrong with Belketh, is he not around anymore?

According to Ashan Compendium, Shantiri Empire was ruled by nine Hierophants that respected Elemental Dragons and three aspects of Asha.

Unfortunately, Great Archon was killed by Maahir during War of the Broken Staff that ended almost thirty years before current events of Heroes 7.

Well good thing the dev gave us a choice in the lich and vampire design. So I went for THE NIGHT LADY and THE ANCIENT MUMMY just because the mask reminds me of Case Jones from TMNT .

Wow the 3 lich artworks look promising! Limbic really listened to the community and I praise them for that.
About the vampires, the blood monster looks great, but I guess every one voted for the night lady so this will have to do :-(
