If i understand correctly this are all the neutral skills. So does this mean leadership as a skill will be gone? Or is leadership not a neutral skill?
Imo this skill they call paragon is more of a magic skill than neutral, with 4/6 perks being magic related.
Maybe someone made a mistake and switched leadership and learning by accident...

I think Leadership is Might Skill. Which makes sense - mages are not really leaders in Heroes..

And Master of Magic may actually suit Might Hero more..

The paragon skill is suitable for a defensive hero.  The perks can help if there is less opportunity to visit map locations and towns (fill the spell book), and for boosting newly recruited heros.  For an offensive hero, there should be better choices.

Balancing will be CRUCIAL for H7. Too many OP abilities already and we haven't seen all magic schools. If everything is OP then what will happen with the game? All battles end in 2 minutes?

I will keep repeating - Heroes battles should be like chess and unit movement and placing should be the most important thing that wins you battles, not some super-powerfull heroes.

The more I think about it, the more I like that hero level cap is 30. Otherwise heroes will become too powerfull...

Mind that quite a few of the OP skills are related to economy not just battles.

Yes, that is good, because economy is other aspect of the game and I really like that it becomes more important in H7. Town management and fighting for area of control and recources is something that I really like about H7. It makes the game more interesting, because we all have had situations where people just sit back in their castle and wait. Now if you do this, you will lose the game.

OP Economy skills are not a problem imo, because your main hero will rarely pick to develop Economy and your second hero will get only 1 or 2 level ups in a game, unless you fight battles with him, which is not so often...

Have you even played any HoMM games before?

I have played a lot of multiplayer games, especially H3. Me and friends didn't really like jebuscross template and played more on totally random maps. So there were a lot of times people would explore early on, but when they see that there is nothing interesting on the map, they would just defend castle. Maybe the problem was that we were betting a lot of money and sometimes it was better to try to not lose the game than to just have fun and explore. And by not losing the game I mean just wait in castle and offer a draw... But that's the money factor, so my opinion might not be really important here, I agree...

@ninjata12

I don't know how will they implement are of control in HoMM7, but in HoMM6 it just rewarded you if you stay in town and defend. Your dwellings and mines are safe as long as you defend the town. And with town portals...

I agree that economy is is important part of the game, but I don't like the way it is implemented with areo of control (at least how it was in HoMM6). Also, it seems that Ubi is trying to reduce the need for exploring and map 'richness' in their games. That thing, I realy hate.

Turtling inside your town in heroes 3 is pure suicide, you just give your opponent map control: more towns, more resources, more creatures. Heroes 3 always encouraged exploring and finding more towns ASAP.

Also, I don't get it, why people still pay for Ubi games? How do the customers allow them to pull out games that aren't not even half ready and pay big bucks for them?

If i'm not mistaken they talked about the ability of "destroying" resource mines or atleast disabling them until the enemy controlling the mine gets a hero out there and repairs it.
I maybe pulling this out of my *** but i'm fairly sure i've heard or read something along those lines...

That can be interesting, but I guess it depends on the implementation. There were skills like that in HoMM6, but I didn't play that game much, so I'm not sure if they were good. They looked like the skills for secondary heroes, imo.

You pegged it. I would give those skills to secondary heroes. And the payoff wasn't very good.

This speech of overly powerful abilities, and thus reduced battle times, got me thinking: Isn't this the exact opposite of H6? If i remember correctly, preserving all of your units in most creeping attempts was probable and indeed quite doable, as opposed to H3/5 where units were bound to be lost, if at least 1 or 2 from a stack unless your army was just filled with shooters. A consequence of easy healing spells available at level 1, high health for units, lower damage, and more "defensive" racial skills (invincibility, raise dead, gating, invisibility) along with spells not really gaining increased effect (via abilities like Master of Fire, or having a actual skill that buffed spell capability like Light mastery and so forth), H6 had creeping battles long and drawn out, and full scale battles became a spell fest to who could just revive more units per turn, drastically increasing game time.

Now it is said that battles may be too quick. Of course, this could be too short, yet, I am not so sure this is a terrible thing. Game speed should be a bit faster than H6's battles, and with the removal of simple healing spells (Then again, we've only seen one school, which was not one of the three schools that had healing in H6. I hope they don't pop up until at least Expert/Master level in their schools, if at all) then the battles will focus more on killing rather than reviving. And, so far, the Guardian Angel skill has been reduced to Righteousness, so less pure invincibility, more actual combat. But, yet, there are more "OP" abilities now.

But I have a niggling feeling that just because there are OP skills, that won't necessitate speedy battles. After all, both sides have access to a plethora of these skills. And of course, with so many skills labeled as OP, I can only remember some quote about "When everyone's super, no one will be". Just because you are super doesn't mean your enemy isn't either. Two superpowers going head to head will probably still have timely battles. of course, who will think of the precious neutral creeps, as they don't have a hero to make them super?

Will the battles be fast? Probably. Just how fast will they be? This remains to be seen. If faster than H6, then I'm all for it, personally. I feel that these new abilities have been a reaction to both the weird designs that made H6 very slow, as well as making level ups in that system feel unrewarding, as when you aren't actively gaining a spell or an activated ability, then the small bonus was largely unnoticed. Of course, there was a fair share of over-powered-ness in H6 via those Dynasty Weapons, but instead of those powerful abilities being set unlocked day 1 for heroes in a game, now they need to be leveled up to, as well as everyone having possible access, as opposed to leveling up a weapon in the campaigns and then dominating people who play mulitplayer rather than campaign. Has H7 gone too far in righting those wrongs?
