ones not bother to play it can see the sprites, but ones not bother to play it cannot know its lore and why it has no connection to venom spawn at all lol

H4's world lore was different from H1-MaM8 ones. Different worlds, different creatures, nations etc.

And they only look alike, not exactly the same (are not the same model, as is the case of Water elementals or Many creatures in MaM VII)

Yes, I think so. At least because Kreegans have no knwon connection to Ice.

The Kreegans we encounter in RPG series are mostly lower-ranking creatures resembling red mermen. Higher-ups might have more "demonic" appearance (Devils, for instance). Also, who knows, maybe some of those heroes are Succubus?..
About rat-headed Demons - we met them only once, they don't look like any of the previously seen Kreegans, they really resemble some sort of beastmen... I for one am not sure they those guys are Kreegans and not something like Gogs.
Oh, and we have some art incosistency in the Old Universe...

actually the ones in RPG series are said to be among the most elite and strongest of their race, I think you have a lot of research to do lol

anyway you have Kreegans without horns, Kreegans with two horns, Kreegans with twenty horns, Kreegans with and without tails,
Kreegans who shamble around like gorillas, Kreegans with bug eyes and wings, immobile breeder Kreegans with giant spider egg sacs, Kreegans with beards who can teleport,

it is a bit ridiculous to say Kreegans with elongated faces and hooves are a massive stretch lol

not sure what you mean by this, they are demons, they are the same race as the so-called rathead demons, same as the elf heroes are the same race as the wood elves and grand elves lol

I will trust Greg Fulton who said "many people forget the Inferno is not populated by demons. It's populated by aliens who look like demons" lol

Only skellies? What about ToE? I know this system wasn't perfect but it allowed for the greatest variety in terms of gameplay. At least abilities seem good.

It's skellies and banshees, actually.  ToE necromancy was nice, but also a micromanagement fest which did slow down gameplay.  I find this proposal a good compromise.

(But dragons should return als skeleton dragons, of course

First of all, proof.
Second of all, you don't have an idea about relativity, don't you? Compared to Devils, their Queen, Pit Lords, even the unsusual ones with beards this horde of red creatures is a low-rank soldiers. Let's not forget that we're talking about an army. Army is ofc an elite part of the race/nation. Ta-da ^_^

Except these are rat-faces which no other Kreegans have and we never see them again (quite strange, isn't it, if they're just regular kreegans?)

I mean that some of them may be real Demons. Or at least creatures called Demons, but not Kreegans.
You see, not all Demons are Kreegans and not all Kreegans are called Demons, if you know what I mean. The term "Demon" may be used in a variety of ways to depict different creatures. We have had Ice Demons, after all.

Well, Cerberi for Kreegan domestic dogs? Efreeti for Kreegans of Fire Plane?
Why you always assume that "it's populated by aliens" means "only aliens and no one else"? And, remind you, I'm not saying H3 Demons are demons. I'm saying they may not be Kreegans. Feel the difference ^_^

Meh... All I can say is I'm very disappointed in necromancy, but then again I found academy and haven racials underwhelming at best too(this much more so though). For me the dark-point system from h5 was by far the best. It allowed taking were higher tier units, but trade-off was they were actually less cost-efficient so player had to balance to pros and cons. And while ToE-system was quite under-powered with the dark-point limit in longer games, it was still good balancing aspect that would have been easy to fix IMO. Now it's just automated process like h2, h3, h4 and h5 vanilla. This one also has no limits for necromancy so you'll need the battle-frenzy from offense and perhaps vitality from defense to make optimal use of necromancy(or rather the units created via necromancy). Just like academy needs couple spell-schools to make good use of meta-magic now necro has same problem essentially. That's just essentially bad design IMO

I only don't like the grandmaster skill. And the fact that death ripple is now completely out of this game.....but I like it focusing on skeletons for necromancy.

I disliked the dark energy system introduced in TotE, because it turned what I see as true necromancy, amassing a legion of undead cannonfodder, into some stupid micromanagement snow. After one or two battles you would be out of dark energy and the necromancy skill would be useless till next week

That's why I like this return to the 'old school' necromancy. Also the abilities are quite nice and imo well balanced among the levels. I don't immediately see one must have in core and the elites depend a lot on the effect of the namtaru warfare unit.

Slightly disappointing. Heroes III could revive skeletons (or skeleton warriors, if there was no other slot for regular skeletons). Even that was improved through Cloak of Undead King. H4 improved this by reviving ghosts and vampires as well.

H5 could only revive skeletons and archers (if the latter had corresponding ability), but they improved this through TotE.

Again, they strive for less, not more.

Overall I like the fact thet you can only raise skeletons. Much easier to balance and less likely to mess up the inevitable early release.

Is "Ghost Ride" supposed to mean that banshees are in addition to the number of skeletons raised or are they going reduce the number of skeletons? Either way it only makes sense if the banshees are superior creatures compared to the skeletons.

Not sure what to make of Dark Nova. Depends on how(if) warmachines are going to be fixed.
I would really like if Warmachine stats increased twice or even three times as fast as creature stats. For example in H5 Ballista was influenced by attack and knowledge stat. Maybe this time it could benefit from all stats but with different weight. Ballista could get stat bonuses acording to a (3*Att+1*Def+2*Knw+1*Spw) formula while the tent could get bonuses with a (1*Att+2*Def+2*Knw+2*Spw) formula. Health and damage could be influenced by hero and/or skill level.
Would expand their usefullness into mid or even late game territories.

I also like the return of the H3-system. The system in H5 was time consuming and broke immersion. Once again necropolis will wield "zounds" of skeletons in their armies. Makes sense that skeletons have no abilities, they will have numbers instead. This faction skill is my favorite by far, for now.

Yeah, now I will have a thousands of Skeletons that can barely move and have zero abilities, this Necromancy is amazing! /sarcasm

No, I seriously can't believe that you guys like this more... Yeah, it had micromanagement, that was the whole point, it brought depth to the game, more options and choices.

Depending on my skills, strategy and opponents, I had to choose which creatures I will reanimate and which creatures I will attack. If I was playing with Orson for example, I would attack slow creatures that bring back Zombies that last forever in masses later in the game, if I was up against slower factions, Liches and Vampires were great, Wraiths were always good if you can take them. If you went for Expert Attack(happened rarely but still) with Blood Frenzy and something else, masses of Skeletons and Ghosts were doing enormous damage and lasted quite a bit in battle(especially Ghost that are probably one of the toughest units in the whole game).

Dark Energy wasn't amazing but it wasn't really bad either, if you could rework it and introduce something cooler I am all for it, but give something to the Necromancy. At least a choice between first three units... being able to raise Skeletons only is extremely dull.

TotE Dark Energy sucked, TotE Necromancy was awesome.

I'd love to be able to raise different creatures depending of what you are killing, but capped per battle instead of having one bar for the whole week for all your heroes.
