Silver is asking for the default strings because he's looking for things in the vanilla executable that are in a different place than in HDMod, sort of like you have to dig through HotA.dll to fins hex strings for snow that it hard-patches.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just get the HoMM 3 Complete edition from GoG? It gives a lot more extra content over the vanilla game, that I consider to be worth it. It’s at a fairly cheap price too, though I cannot see the insides of your pocketbook of course  .

Hello, I am playing the HoMM 3 Complete from GoG.
Soehow the Necromacy skill stopped working, it's not ressurecting the % of fallen warriors.
Could it be because Necromancy Skill+CotUK+(boots+cape+necklace) > than 100%?
And even without the CotUK it won't work and the Necro Level is < 100%.

He has H3 Complete but either hasn't installed HD Mod or isn't aware of how to generate a Heroes 3 HD executable.

I have downloaded H3 HD from the link supplied here, but as soon as I generate the HD.exe the game won't even open. Either from lauching it from Desktop or from the HD Launcher.

It doesn't crash. It just won't open.
Update: Necromancy skill WORKING. Of course it was my mistake. At one of the artifacts for Necromancy (I wanted to lower the bonus) and ended up permuting the bytes, so instead of a 3% bonus, I ended up with a -7.65487578% bonus, which made the Skill obsolete, or non usable.

Hello, so for the Cape of Velocity
The +2 unit speed bonus is located at 0E5DD4 & 0E6655 (both must be changed)
Which are the bytes at 0E5DD4?
and at 0E6655?

Hello what are the bytes for the statue of legion, where it gives the +5000 gold and +50% pop increase?
Oh, and fixed the issue with the HD mod. Apparently there was an issue with the resolution and direct draw. Now it works.
Is there something I need to do, fro when I change the data in the H3Sprites.lod (the .txt) and put it back in to the HoMM3 HD+ the game doesn't recognize it. All the tweak I've made in the .exe are working fine, it's just these .txt files...

Just put the .txt files in the data folder and the game will soft-patch them

It worked by MoMM3 SoD Complete. Tried it yesterday, nothing happens. 
Will give it another shot.

So I've inserted the edited .txt files with the MMArchive to the H3Bitmap.lod and WoG.lod, the game starts normally, but everything I've edited is set back to default.

Hello. I need help. I changed the summon Water Elemental to the Ice Elemental. However, repeated summons is not possible on the battlefield. Because have already summoned the Ice Elemental, cannot summon another Elemental. Is there a way to change the rules that can only summon one elemental?

Do you know where the 20% bonus for join offers is for at least 50% creatures of the same type?
Also the 10% bonuses for having at least one of the joined creature and for an army size greater than 1.5x of the joining group?

Well, this thread is named "How to edit HotA". Do you know that hex-editing what HotA changes is a waste of time, because you have to change dll, not exe, which will be different maybe tomorrow?
And yes, I know how to change this. But, again, hex-editing the HotA dll is unproductive.

Then I don't understand, isn't it the HotA mechanics to join some percentage of monsters? Or you are talking about Sympathy? Then why 20%?
