Hey guys I'm on a dilemna. Thanks to dungeon challenges and battle tower I know got three greater essences and I'm hesitating. Should I:
- Awaken my Archmage for my personal enjoyment even though I don't need to do that for competition.
- Use the awakenings to strengthen my dungeon defense instead, knowing there is good chances it won't make a drastic amelioration anyway given how weak it currently is.

Nvm just used them up on the Archmage. 
And I don't regret it one second.
For my dungeon defense, is only a matter of time, my mistake was to recycle some very good creatures for the totems because they weren't 3+ dots, but I'll fix it. Currently really saving on diamonds though so back to manual farming, I can do less because of time, but I don't want to not summon when there is an event I really like, maybe I'll try my luck with this one before it ends, but I can only afford one roll so hesitating there too.
And now that many will get the DE, dungeon Bosses will be ridiculously easy for anyone, she's just deadly, thanks to her I could defeat lvl 300 players when I was still lvl 100, right now I could kill a fully awakened Phoenix without much trouble and my only cleanser is a Muse (and her cleanse works like 25% of the time or smth).

So finally decided to do the multi-summon in the hope of a Sphinx and extra DE (would also have been fine with any other "Moms") for awakening and ended up with... a bunch of Griffins, a couple of Sirens and a Harpy. That was disappointing. Not to mention I need to save up my diamonds even more now.
Well, I can't hit the jackpot every single time.

My weakest links = forest giant + siren. Every high level player has waves to kill them now. Just got crushed by red wave with two 4 dot wyverns, a 5 dot.boarma (he could do his special like every round) and some small red ones. Only my siren and mist giant survived that fisrt wave. Second wave... all yellow. Bye bye misty and siren...

It's reassuring that there are ways to kill Legendary tanks in defense though. Still, I maintain my stance that dungeon defense in general is rather weak, and amount of dots being the only factor influencing (aside totems) is imo poor. When I started playing, I thought the multipliers also worked there and was disappointed to learn they don't, it would open more choices with use of diamonds and allow more variety in defense strategy.

Is there any reliable way to get a more than 2dot DE?
I got 3 in the event from summons, but only 2dots. Wondering if it's worth to level?

Your forest giant is definitely not a weak link, he heals stuns and tanks. I consider mine to be the backbone of the team, full red waves may require careful targeting and early use of specials that I'd prefer to save for bosses.
I'm currently running:
Peri (aoe damage, dispel, pow + luk buff)
Mist giant (stun, pow+luk debuff)
Jolly green giant (stun, heal)
Cyclops (single target damage)
Angel (damage)
3 whites isn't great and only the mist giant can get a multiplier. But I have no trouble with any adventures or player dungeons (cyclops gets swapped with a Druid for cleanse on any dungeons with a 3+ red star Phoenix)
Only thing I can't yet do is tower 51. Need to find a silence and sort out a team that can get multipliers to finish the last wave.
Edit: just popped a couple of event multi-summons: 3 sorceress, a hydra, 4dot gorgon and 3 griffons. Not sure how well a blue legend will survive with the plague of yellows in defence but it should enable me to build a team where everyone has the possibility to get a multiplier.

Really? That's the biggest non-decision in the game and you have to ask? 35 diamonds are worth much, much, much more than a single jewel.
one flawless jewel is worth 25 large jewels, woiuld you have asked this question if this was 35 diamonds vs 25 large jewels?
Well, you are fairly low level and jewels are quite rare for you, but still 35 diamonds, that's 3 cp packs or nearly 5% of a multisummon and jewels come by everywhere.

To be fair it took a while for me as well to see the value of everything, as a new player you've seen diamonds, but never those huge gems before.
EXP gems will lose value later on (because you can farm them consistently), while diamonds will Always be potent.
Like mentioned above, I would only take totems over gems at the moment, as they are a burden to grind.
@Alhazin, yes the vampire is very good, congrats! At least on the offensive it has great surviveability on it's own. as a defender It will likely kill one enemy if it can attack once, but he does not have much HP.
It was the second legendary I obtainted, and one of the few I still use, , I think that tells enough about it

Which quest map are you farming to get all those? Are you getting those from Token summon?

Epic token chest, golden chests on King difficulty, legendaries recycle. You'll get them eventually, don't get fixated on them. 1 flawless gem = 5 brilliant = 25 large and I et you already have large 
It could be hard to appreciate the immediate value of diamonds, but when the summoning event arrives, you could be glad you made the decision to acquire them as much as possible (and save!)
