I've been working the last few days with the Living Shelter bug.
The error I think is due to some of the engine and I did not find a way to fix it,The free turn bug occurs by the command to interrupt the units actions and not by the ability itself,So it is reproducible with other abilities that make use of the command "interrupt" like firewall with master of fire.
I changed some configurations and now the free turn bug does not occur. Now the ability to interrupt is not activated when you step on the first cell on the Aura. Now it is activated when leaving it. The rest works the same as before, I think the change almost works the same as it should and there is no free Turn bug.
If someone tests it, please tell me if there is any problem and what you think about the change.

I'm sorry to say that but the ability does not work for me almost at all now. It doesn't stop the enemy units and provides a free turn bonus to flying units when they move into the aura.

@ant the bug with wasp swarm affecting earth eles is probably no bug since the spell is doing might dmg even it is a earth spell, not sure about the description though of earth resistance, heal spell indeed does work sometimes and sometimes not it seems... works fine on Champions f.e, but on cores some hp are missing usually
Wasp sparm: Then the spell damage type should be changed to earth instead of might
Healing: It's neccessary to analyze the situations when the heal spell works and when not. There must be some reason, some connection among the situations it does not work in.

actually, wasps doing might damage is no big Problem and it makes sense, u could argue about it (: but it is no poison or something like that... about living shelter, i dont know what the Problem with it is to be serious, since only the treant has the skill, i dont Play it too often but i'm sure u guys can fix it if there is any Problem with it (:
im always in for Fixing broken skills but sometimes i feel like it is too big of a Task like opportunity retalation... so i just replaced it for now, so if u cant fix it and it is doing a lot of Problems it might be best to do the same for that ):

it does not happen to me, can you tell me what army you used for testing?
I know that with flying units it only works if they move to adjacent squares, but I do not get free turns.

I use Sylrael (fist army) vs Tolghar (the second army).
The bug seems to occur especially in two cases:
- it is an additional turn thansk to morale
- the enemy unit ia adjacent to ancient treant

Also, it's not only for flying units, walkers are sometimes affected too.
It seems this ability is way too problematic and as it's not usually used much often, maybe it's a better idea to completely get rid of it and replace with sth. else. For example your idea of the ability reducing the movement of all enemy surrounding units to 1 doesn't sound bad for me.

I'm changing some files atm so my fire upk is already changed, i'll release it at some Point, then u can alter it again if u like (:
f.e i replaced burning determation with fire shield, the idea is to make all spells usefull for their Level and this spell is very weak when u start with it compared to firebolt, i want to do some balancing between might and magic as well but takes time, I'll reduce master perk in warfare triple down double shot for example and probably the aoe spells have to get a nerf but i have not decided yet, atm i have a Problem with a tooltip not working even i did everything right, rge spell works fine but the buff tooltip in combat behaves strange and idk why

all u have to do is find the files that cause the error by copying the fire upk or any other like air or earth Piece by Piece, i did so with the fire upk....
u copy some archetypes and save it, when it works it is fine, if u try to save broken files it wont work, for fire upk burning Determination buff f.e wont work, now u copy for example a celestial armor buff from light and paste it in ur new fire upk where u have already copied some files in, now u open the original burning Determination buff file and Change the values of the celestial armor buff armor archetype to have the same values and names, it takes some time but it works, it may happen that Connections in the fire upk are lost when ure finished but when u start up the Editor it'll Show u and u just have to reconnect em, this is limited to the file u changed and therefore it doesnt take much time since the Editor always Shows the Problems, hope this will help u to do ure own mods (:

Potential solutions for certain bugs:
8. I suspect the "enter cell" trigger can be causing that it does not work after teleport
14. (some possible other bugs): activate abilities include "single target" tags although the unit has passive ability which hits more units.
41. The buff +150% is applied to (100% damage + 50% luck bonus damage), should be applied before luck bonus.

I wanna help, but I don't have a clue on how to start. What tools are people using? Just a plain old hex editor?
Edit: Also, the link says Balance Mod + Fixes 3.1... What is the complete list of changes in there? I think it would help greatly...
Edit2: I would also like to report another bug that's not on the list: When Ella (in Haven Campaign, Map4) casts Celestial Armour, instead of lasting 3 turns as advertised, the spell effect disappears at the end of the turn (on all friendly creatures, and even without any damage received). Idk if this bug is specific to the campaign, or the hero Ella...
