I've also two questions:
1) Does anyone of you managed to uncook and successfully save the file with H7FireSpells? It always displays me an error message.
2) Does anyone know how the spells work? I do already know that the Shadow Image does not work correctly (according to the tooltip) when Master or Darkness III is learn, but I cannot find any data for that spell, defining its function.

Oh u fixed Justicar's skill? nice, u can use my mod files and use the firespells.upk, it is uncooked, feel free to use, of Course it includes my mod changes, what do you mean by "how the spells work"?, spells are linked to different archetypes and some are additional coded with Special added Code archytypes where the Editor only gives limited insight

Thanks, I forgot it for a while but in the worst case, I will. May I ask you if you have somewhere the original uncooked files without your changes? It would nbe much better to do the fixes on that.
Speaking about Justicar, it needed a slight modification of how the skill works because there's a hardcoded issue with adjacent units to some targets which cannot be fixed in H7 Editor. It will now trigger always when a friendly creature adjacent to Justicar is attacked in melee, even if Justicar is not adjacent to the attacker.
I'm speaking about Shadow Image, I am not able to find what defines the power of the spell. Maybe that's the "limited insight" you're speaking about: I cannot only change the Slope/Gradient which modifies the power; however, it does not define the effect of the spell exactly (I'm looking for "X% of the stack + Y% for each magic" as displayed in the magic guild)

i dont have any backups but you can see what ive changed in the patchlogs to fire spells and even turn it back if u wish, i see, not sure about that i would have to check the spell myself but currently im not working on the game

There is another Bug I found.
With Balistae - with warfare skill alowing it to shoot 3 times after first shot the animation freezes for a moment after which it shoots 2 additional bolts. In resault the stack receives only 2x shots worth damage instead of 3.
This game would be so good if the bugs were gone...

Do you have any special skills which could cause that problem?
I cannot reproduce it, for me it works normally.
Did you test it with haven balista or any other one?

It was with Fortress Balistae,
It was from the dwarven hero with warmachines specialisation and max Warfare skill (I mean lev 5 warmachines).
I noticed also problem when for example Sylvan Archers with Duble shoot got high morale after first shot. when they do they dont continue with the second shoot at all. and only get second action granted by morale.
Sometimes they dont take the 2-nd shot at all. without reason.

Still CNR, was it a campaign hero or a skirmish hero?

I guess that's intended (CNR any bug), the second shot's applied only when the master hunter killed at least one unit from the enemy unit.

I only play Single player - Adventure maps.
it was map called "Fractured time".
still if it works fine for you (I dont have any balance mod instaled yet) maybe its problem with animation (to slow CPU..).

That's possible, you can try changing your game speed and see if it persists.

Right now, I am fortunately able to tell you much more than let's say a half year ago.
Speaking about this issue (No.32), I haven't found the exact cause.
However, what I did was I set a special condition for Stone Spikes (Special Coding Effect > Conditions to Be Activated > Attack Conditions > Check Attack Tags > Not equal to Single target).

The moat issue is a pretty complicated one. The whole moat archetype is bugged and traps creatures forever, no matter how you change it. That is why I completely changed its archetype as you can see.
However, the problem it caused is that the moat can be easily destroyed now (since it has hp now)

I Don't know if this is the right place to ask for help, but at the very least this seems to be the bug area.
I can't seem to get HOMM 7 to work on my new computer, i ran through what Ubisoft support told me and it was all standard help and none of it helped, and i took a look at what other people said and can't get it to work.
After looking into myself i started seeing that the Launch log for the game would just cut off at a weird point almost as if it broke midway through a function. Also it doesn't let click through the intro cutscenes almost as if when it stops trying to launch my controls die.
If this is the wrong place to post this i would understand if this was removed.
