Congratulations on the release, I'm happy to see it happen. Looks great.

To add to the discussion about 1/several spells: The AB h3m format has only one byte for storing spells on a customized hero, used to identify one single specific spell: see here. Keep in mind the RoE/AB/SoD map formats are very different; in RoE there is no byte for storing spells, whereas in SoD there are 9 bytes, in which each bit represents a spell.

The mod looks great and is giving me a blast of nostalgia, however most maps crash on me some turns into playing.

If you see EIP=0x004FB282 and the crash is random, i.e. does not happen again after loading AUTOSAVE, it's a fault of the original game, unfortunately. We are still looking for solution.

Thank you all for your dedication and attention to detail.
This is truly Heroes 2.5, at least.

A few rough edges here and there but I'm sure you'll polish those.

The Dervish theme blends into the splendid Heroes 2 score perfectly.

Now I'm excited about the Heretic faction and a new Witch theme.

No, we tend to use either sounds from MM series or sounds from completely free sources.

The Witch theme will be made from scratch.

Thanks, but it comes from original Heroes 2 Millenium Edition. It was used for the Sorceress there. Now, it has a more fitting application.

Tried it and couldn't see any issues, I'd say it's probably the easiest way to ensure this problem is gone.

For v0.8.1, I included the replacement files so that even if the fix is on, the graphics will not change from the visual point of view.

But, I guess a programming solution is nicer. Thanks!

why not to use some script to fix the scene inside the mage guild,  ?
i mean the aspect of the scrolls

We actually have the necessary plugin done, but did not decide if the scrolls should be assigned as a pyramid or a ladder. Intended that H3 background will be gone, of course.

i checked the file and  i notice most of the monsters ( new) doesn't have an evolution, this is for your first beta or is definitive?

This is absolutely beautiful. I made an account on this forum (been lurking for years) just to post a high compliment on how beautiful and fitting the art and aesthetics are on this mod. Your design direction is great -- thanks for filling in some of the gaps and modifying artifacts & secondary skills. Obviously it's all early phase and not everything works as intended but I'm still enjoying it immensely.

I played a few more games. I can't get enough, this mod is amazing.

Sorry, I am clueless about modding. Since this feature is in Hota I thought maybe it was a choice.

I see. I do actualy think sand fits very well underground. The theme especially works. It's a good "exploring" theme. Makes the underground feels magical and less dull.

I personaly love it that way. Upgrades does not make the game better IMO. I like recruiting creatures from dwellings on the map that fit directly in my army rather than have to pass by a castle to upgrade them.

Hmm, Im getting errors like when I go into Sorceress town screen on hotseat, it just keeps turning black and I can no longer see anything. I also have this issue where some of the maps just crash me non stop when i step on a certain tile or engage a certain mob.

Not sure if im doing anything wrong. I have a clean H3 Complete, after which I install the mod on it, then HD mod. I have added the line in the front page into the launcher. Am i supposed to launch it using the HD launcher or what?

I was playing an added map (only added AB, RoE and SoD ones) and when I attacked a stack of battle dwarves, the game crashed. The same map I found some monsters did not appear properly (some was even Heretic as far as I remember). I printed the screen, how can I share it here?

However, this theme will be changed. It is the same as Water Theme (in Heroes 2 there was no Sand Theme), but now we have sand underground and honestly I don't share your sentiment, to me it's ridiculous to have such a bright theme underground. I already found a replacement which acceptably fits both the coastal sand and underground.

Don't hover the mouse over Crystal Garden. We already fixed the issue for the next update.

This is another issue we fixed for the next update. Unfortunately, the Diplomacy skill is not working properly on most of the computers. You can either vary the composition of your army to make it weaker, or delete this file from the v0.8.0 build:
(Heroes 3)/Mods/The Succession Wars/EraPlugins/h3sw.diplomacy.era

The Heretic issue has no surprise: you added a map which is NOT COMPATIBLE with the mod. You have to delete the creatures manually, and, of course, make a lot of fixes to the map so that it will be playable and looking good.

Note for future: H3SW does not allow a dynamic conversion of Heroes 3 maps.

but you don't think only 1 monster is a little bit "exaggerate"? fortress castle

and the other one , dervish,  have 2 ,  there are less than the average of the remaining castles?? ( even less if you consider double evolution of dragons plus minotaur king in warlock  and the most of the other new guys like satyr, gnome, beholder)

The Witch isn't final. As you see the townscreen is still from like the 2012 version and people are complaining how ugly it looks. Another creature from there will probably also have an update, not just the Lizardmen. But the team wanted to focus on other aspects of the game and polish other things.
