I’m not sure this mod has a continuation, unfortunately. However, for fans of Heroes II, there’s the “fheroes” project, which is based on the GoG version of Heroes II. It allows you to play Heroes II with modern screen resolutions and includes interface improvements inspired by the HD mod of Heroes III, making the gameplay experience much smoother on today’s systems.

It’s definitely worth a look if you’re interested in classic turn-based strategy with modern enhancements!

I humbly request ceasing this kind of behavior: this doesn't shed a very good light towards the developers, and has never done so through the years.
Though, I can't say I don't enjoy banning accounts with this exact copied-and-pasted narrative on our socials from time to time.
I will gladly share marketing tips if need be, and I am available via all my usual contacts.

We are currently working on the next update, which is happening around the New Year's Eve in the (very) worst case scenario. In the better case, it's supposed to appear at a later date, but at much more desirable circumstances.

Forums are dead because everyone is on discord... But I find it so much less convenient than forums, it's just a big flood.

That's how information works in 2025: everything's faster. I, too, just cannot spend 40 minutes per forum post anymore, which I sometimes did on Forums of Enroth. Life stuff.

That is what will happen. But a lot of info will be lost forever, as tons of people heed the fashion and bring their projects to Discord. Which, even now, plain deletes things by moderator's will.

It’s not a fad, it’s just convenient. You can’t turn this mince back: the times are gone.
Besides, forums are fit for a handful of old grumpy people who all have known each other for decades, and will never let anyone without a history to become equal to them.

Dear Enrothians and friends,
Truly a lot has changed since our previous post of this kind.
Most massively, that concerns the situation with character design, which previously required us to take an impossible leap across the abyss. Now we are not only able to reinvent the heroes to the level H3SW fully deserves, but also we can do it in high resolutions; moreover, we are actively doing that at the moment.
Other design breakthroughs concern the Underground landscape, the Witch faction as a whole, character writing and high resolution interfaces which all have been our scourges for more than a decade.
We even started developing our first new campaign, which will eventually accompany the classic materials once we have the new gameplay set up and running. The programming, being the true bottleneck of any modding development, is moving, and we are crossing fingers it'll finally work.
For the time being, enjoy some newest pieces of graphics from the recent months which demonstrate our newer standards on H3SW aesthetics which have never been as high. We have high hopes of the year 2026, and will work vigorously towards finally releasing something tangible in this year featuring all this work of art - despite any unfortunate circumstances, which have always been before, and will always be forthcoming.
