Finished it last night. The difficulty is for sure on the easy side. There wasn’t enough enemy units during the last third of the game. I was Really surprised to not see a void dragon or some kind of equivalent (they’re the only units who’s stack limit is 1) to make the end game fights more difficult. Once I got my tier 5 creatures it was straight easy mode.
I think I read that More difficulty Options are coming in a future update. They’ve already released one addressing community feedback so I’m sure this will soon follow.
For now I’m going to casually play again as the Paladin.

Hard not to agree with the players who gave it a 1/10 because your character can’t shoot their equipped crossbow. Those are quality reviews I’m surprised they’re not paid for it.
Time to re-review Armageddon’s blade to a 2/10 because at least you get the armageddon spell. But still can’t swing it, trash game!

I'll be waiting for the 50% off on the complete edition. Maybe in a couple of years, assuming it gets at least one expansion. And even then I'm not sure I'll buy it.

The patch notes like "objects equi automatically if there is a free slot" sound like things that should have been there in release...
"difficulty levels"
"showing the magic school of spells"
I mean, Heroes 4 has that and it's a half finished 20 year old game from a bankrupt company...

So it's still possible to get a DLC sometime in the future.
Yeah I've already been posting in that thread and watching it. CEO saying they closed work on KB2 seems kinda final! But yeah if someone is still tinkering around with their files maybe *fingers crossed* they were far enough along with the first DLC that a small left over skeleton team will still finish it before shutting down completely.
Hopefully they don't drop the franchise completely and still go and reuse the new engine (that they spent years and endless money making) to make new stand alone KB games in the future, as boy did they milk the hell out of the KB1 engine for years back in the day with Crossroads, Armoured Princess, Warriors of the North, and Dark Side. KB2 may have flopped but maybe 1C can still make some the lost money back by recycling a lot of existing assets into new separate KB games and stories like they've done in the past.
