My dream is having an ERA multiplayer lobby where the host sets WoG options and the other player can review them, similar to HotA.

I think it no needs lobby. It is enough any vpn like hamachi or teamviewer.
You can review the settings right in the game, but i like your variant to see it before the map start, in this case you are right - it must be add from dll like hd mod adds the lobby. if i was a programmer, i ve made it and lobby server also
Maybe someone somewhen will make it

I did some testing while you were ill, and you are right - the problem is era based.
I posted on their forum, and hope someone will find a solution.
(I can revert to 2.8.8, but the 2.9.x line soooo much faster )

[+] ERA platform updated to version 2.9.6 - thanks to Berserker
[+] icons of creatures in the BattleHeroes mod now correspond to the appearance of creatures from the assembly

Few strange things I've noticed playing with 2.9.5 build.

1.
Mistical Garden claims it's not vised.


but when I visit it, I get:


I guess it's one of the scripts that transfer visited objects automatic resource gathering, but still, it's inconsequency.

2. Strange math

About gardens - you must right click on it for receiving more information, but you wanna get "visited", if you are owner of this object and new week started, yeah? I think this is a good variant, i will try do it myself, but not sure, in this variant i will ask for the help Also need to make text, if you did catch an enemy's object, cause it says sth like that "leprechaun sent you resources" but this is not true

Just did a clean HOMM3 Complete install and pulled down the lite version yesterday.  I see nothing wrong with the game itself and can play as long as I want but the minute I try to load a save I get this error:

Core: AssertHandler
  Assert violation in file "D:SoftProgrammingDelphisourceSRCEraStores.pas" on line 279.
  Error at address: $5830A98.
  Message: "Assertion failure"

This is on a random map with many of the WOG options active.

This is 2.9.6 era issue. Please, install previus pactc to 1.25 assembly version or wait 2/9/7 era release.

Math works fine (everytime)
But in text creator it isnt)
Cause 3 creatures types = -1 morale
4 creatures types = -2 morale
5 creatures types = -3 morale
6 creatures types = -4 morale
7 creatures types = -5 morale

also it says
"Halberdies" in group instead "Angels"
It need to be edited.

EDITED: this is game core problem - in hota and sod is the same numbers

Sorry, iam sick again - 2 more days in the best way

wogNativeDialogs.pac/ WogNDlg.txt - for killing creatures

79 wog - igrik.ert - for movement count

in the new assembly release all "HoMM3 ERAModsWoGDatas"-folder will be replaced in the sepparratly mod

Build updated to version v1.27 (02/13/2020)

[+] ERA platform was updated to version 2.9.10 - thanks to Berserker
[+] WoG scripts were extractd to a separate mod "WoG Scripts". Some fixes by igrik/Algor were applied - thanks to Berserker
[+] updated wonderful BattleHeroes mod up to v1.8f - thanks to Algor
[+] updated wonderful Era Scripts mod up to v1.41 - thanks to Algor
[+] introduced a huge parts of the Era Scripts mod text's corrections - thanks to Drake
[+] Adapted wonderful PA and QU receivers by gamecreator with Pandora and Seer Hut Quests API - thanks to gamecreator, Berserker
[+] updated TxtEdit up to v1.4.1 and MMArchive up to v1.3.1 v1.4.1 - thanks to grayface
[#] now the battle mode is switched to the W-key - thanks to igrik
[#] script "Improved WM III" now supports replay and does not reset the number of WM to 1 after the battle - Thanks to PerryR
[#] the script “Half cost of creatures on the 7th day” no longer works on the 1st game day
