Yeah, antrhophomorphic measuring units do vary from place to place. as did other units too, for example a Russian Mile is about 7 kilometers when converted to proper units.

Well, election results are bound not to have any conclusive numbers, if they don't count properly. Nobody is sure that 1 vote is really 1 vote. Might be 2,54 votes. But depending on the size of the thumb of the eastern states, probably 3,1 votes. That will be messy. Differences in temperature can also disturb voting results.
