It doesn't matter, they're going to finish counting tomorrow and upload the results between Saturday and Sunday, it's already been announced.
I don't get why there's a law that allows a 5 day delay, and neither why would officials decide to take the maximum time allowed, especially when public perception is getting more and more hostile.

Ugh, people here get restless when results are not shown past 22h of the same day. Votation ends at 17h and the counting, around 20h-21h. Imagine 5 days ...

Absentee ballots can continue to come in until this Friday. 
As far as people being antsy and unhappy, deal with it. The presidential term doesn't even start until January so just chill. We have the entire month of November and the Trump campaign is suing, because something something voter fraud something something socialism something something radical forces something something pro-Biden werewolves and vampires. At any rate he's allowed to do that, despite not providing any basis.

What is actually the most baffling to me in US elections, is that some states don't ask for your ID when coming in to vote.
Any reasoning behind this other than hurr durr something rights something?
You need an ID for anything else, like getting a legal gun, or age verification when buying booze if you're a babyface.

Actually, most states that require voter ID are in the deep red southeast. Photo ID is easily used as voter suppression for people at or near poverty level, because not everybody drives or has a license and it can be a hassle to go through the paperwork to get a government photo ID for the elections.This is why places like California and New York have done away with it.

Wow, election frauds in the US are a conspiracy theory now? That's rich.  I bet if I've written that Trump has forged part of his results (which I actually did but putting Biden on the same boat is the obvious heresy) and nothing else, there would have been no argument.

Dude, your own link presents the odds. And no, Trump or not, rigging an election is not as easy as you make it sound and it’s certainly not the default thing to expect. The counters are representitives from all parties, so they check each other out. It’s not like one guy is counting alone in a room. I think the only serious accusation deserving atteniton was the Florida recount during Bush administration.
And of course it is conspiracy if you have no solid lead, nothing concrete and just some rhetoric about shady powerful people. That is like the dictionary definiton of a conspiracy theory, what on earth do you think they are.

artu, it's quite ironic that you say that give how "fair" are the elections in your country in the recent years. And trust me, I have a very good idea how easy it actually is to forge the results, in Bulgaria this is being done since... bah, since your grand-grand-fathers have left these lands for good. Do you really want me to list you all the methods? That wikipedia article tells no more than 10% of them.
And please, the US being an old democracy, things like that won't happen there and it's just the traditionally corrupted countries which practice such exercises is incredibly naive.

The elections hera are not unfair because they forge the votes, they are unfair because the governing party uses state funds for all sorts of propaganda, and even at the height of his power, when Erdogan didnt accept the results of the Istanbul election (electing the mayor) because his party lost by something like 13.000 votes, and he repeated the election, claiming some technicality error, he lost by 800.000 this time.
Election fraud can happen in some backwater third world country in Africa or something. But it is difficult in countries with strong institutions. A box of votes may “disappear” here and there but nothing drastic like forging millions of votes.
Once again, you’re just blowing off some rhetoric, going “oh, please, really” etc etc. There is nothing concrete in anything you say, such as they have been caught in X state doing this or that.

No ID? What the hell. Here, voting is compulsory to begin with, no matter where you are and people have biometric signatures for voting now (some places are still being revised for authenticity). So, you have a small fee whenever you fail to vote or justify why you didn't.
Of course, that's not fraud-proof either.
