I also miss my avatar, but I don't know if there's a way to use it, given that we needed to ask and I think it was Lizard Warrior the one to set it right? It was something not quite natural.

Amazing update Nemo!

:fire: **Hello there @everyone ! New update of H4 Ultimate V8.0 has been released!!** :fire:

**Biggest Changes:**

- **Remastered campaigns** are incorporated into the *normal* start campaign dialogue. You now use ultimate campaigns by default
- Many new** Fan-made campaigns** (**26+!!**) has been added, together with *hundreds* (200+) quailty maps and translated into english
- Added one new, **Ultimate Exclusive Map **made by Szacsi23,  using the Ultimate Editor and even more objects! You can find it in #ult-themed-maps
- New and fixed animations for creatures, heroes and more! (such as **Bloody Vampires**)
- Tons of rebalances across magic quilds, spells, and abilities
- Added new interesting ability called **Magic Vulnerability**, you can find what it does in-game
- Several bug fixes, new objects to the Editor and soo much more...

**Note:** You may want to archive your previous "maps" as there is a new classification that works best with a clean map folder.

Verok has finally updated his famous HD mod!!

Just check it out, maybe we could include this in the next update Nemo?

Changelog: Fixes the black starting screen, no movies being displayed, CTDs, and warped resolution ratios, plus many other issues related to graphics on newer Windows OSes. Also includes several graphic upscalers.

I would like to preview the next version of the mod, v9. The ingame images are real and come from the new Tutorial Campaign and the new story campaign.

The Tutorial Campaign will help people who feel at a loss with the mod to discover the new features and gameplay when compared to default Heroes of Might and Magic 4.

The Story campaign will follow the leader of a Faerie uprising as she discovers the origins of her people's woes.







Also in the showcase: New icons for artifacts, potions and vials help make the otherwise visually nondescript objects much more recognizable.

Furthermore, we have a planned partnership to make a community of multiplayer gaming for Heroes 4 Ultimate viable. Stay tuned, for the release day is not very far away

New release just dropped. Get it here: Heroes IV ULTIMATE v9.3 - The Iconic Upgrade

Its the biggest one so far (literally, it is over 740 MB on maximum compression), so be sure to check it out.

Highlights:
- A new creature, the Hierophant.
- Icon upgrades on artifacts, blacksmiths and more, to radically enhance the readability of the game.
- Better, more verbose descriptions that clarify important aspects.
- Enhanced new graphics for some adventure objects.

Instructions:

Copy the contents INSIDE the MAIN folder and paste INSIDE your existing H4 folder. You may want to archive your previous "maps" as there is a new classification that works best with a clean map folder. See below for full notes and changelog.
This update is focused on making the game more readable. Of course there are massive updates in many areas such as a new creature (Hierophant) replacing the unbalanced Wardens, new lairs for previously unrecruitable monsters, updated artifacts, and much more.

INFRASTRUCTURE
__________________________________________________

* Updated the version of HD mod (by Verok). Now has upscaling.
* Several bugfixes, some of them critical.

* Use the "[patched]heroes4_extras.exe" to be able to access ULTIMATE, EQUILIBRIS and OBJPACK maps and objects.
** While still having the original 2002 game, graphics and balance by New World Computing.
*** This method will allow to use more special and new objects in future maps, campaigns and remasters.
("Extra" versions read UL2.h4r from /data, while "Regular" ones read the non-existing "new.h4r".

MAP OBJECTS
__________________________________________________

** Added animation to Skeleton, because some people in streams people would just ignore it like animal skeletons (it can give you an artifact).
* Added mirrored animated skeleton version so people can have died on a different orientation (left-handed people probably).

** Pyramid appearance replaced.
NY** Prison appearance replaced.
(The originals were too blocky and low-effort)

* Added more objects with a focus on adapting sea treasures to land, and vice-versa.
* Added floating stone pile to balance out Flotsam with wood.
* Added "land treasure chest" with XP option on sea.
* Added "Mage's chest" with artifact on sea.

* Faction tamples are now enterable from any direction. This fixes positional map balance and roundabout behaviour.
* Same is true for "blattner stone", "rainbow", "oyster", "faerie ring".
* In contrast, Learning Stone is only accessible from the front and back.

** Added more sea doodads like differently-colored kelps.

* Slightly rebalanced some Creature Banks.

CREATURES

Water Elemental rebalanced:
* Given a single-ammo ranged attack.
* While overall stats are higher, the Water Elemental will be weaker in melee due to melee penalty.
* Ranged attack could be used up retaliating from ranged strike.
* Cost and XP slightly upped.
Notes: Despite my efforts at nerfing Water Elementals before, they were still the best elemental even outside water. Now at least they can lose a brawl with Earth Elementals which have 50% magic resistance. Considering their spellcasting prowess the Water Elementals will always have utility anyways.

Hierophant introduced replacing Wardens:
* It has a no-range-penalty shooting attack, yet only two shots.
* These two shots have a chance of ranged-stunning the target.
* On melee, it calls Lightning; given this is now a nature spell (which doesn't harm elementals and is target-luck dependent), this is appropiate.
Note: Hierophants are the glass cannon the Wardens were supposed to be. Yet the Wardens used to be OP, while the Hierophant isn't. Due to the nature of magical damage bypassing conventional defense, Hoerophants are better against high-level creatures. Unlike Wardens, they are defeated by most portal creatures on an equal-XP basis (not least because of the Elemental nature of half of them).

** Mermaid creature description updated.
** Sea Monster creature description updated.
** Archangel creature description updated.

* Unicorn +2 defense
* Unicorn -2 HP
* Unicorn +5 unit gold cost

TEMPORARY CHANGES FOR V9:
* Pirates are now undead Dread Pirates.
* Use of special greenish Skeleton frames in some anims.
* +1 attack to compensate the -2 morale to non-death from Undead ability.
(This change will probably be reverted on v10)

Also this would allow to annihilate enemies with damage since it all but guarantees first turn. This happening with Life is more logical and less of a problem. That also compensates the relative loss of Quickness as offensive potential for Life.
*** This also partially fixes Life having too many level 2 spells, by switching one lvl2 for lvl3.

* (Re)Animate Dead can animate enemies again, but enemies may resist the reanimation. -20% power.
* Dark Calling (formerly Death Calls) may be resisted by enemies as well. Mechanical no longer a valid target (?), but Elementals are. +20% power.
* Army of the Damned -> Reduced power due to much increased utility (Mass Animate Dead).

* Mind's Flurry (Mass Magic Fist) power slightly increased

* David's Sling is now carried on Left Hand instead of in Ranged slot (more useful for boosting creatures like Shields, than to boost ranged attack of the hero, where it does nothing).

* Artifacts will now mention their own names in their descriptions (quality of life feature, useful such as when buying them in Blacksmith shops)
* Several description fixes and clarifications.

Sadly, the extreme envy of so-called "persons" such as Albyx is depriving the people of the ability to download and play Heroes 4 ULTIMATE at this time. Using underhanded techniques such as reporting from multiple fake accounts, and sending false information, Albyx has endeavored for the deletion of H4 ULTIMATE contents of the last three years, even from before "his" "own" mod even existed.

I put quote marks since "his" mod is made from stolen code from Equilibris, and using a closed-source illegal variation of the open source H4 plugin system used for years exclusively on ULTIMATE. He publicly and blatantly lied denying this was the case several times on H4 ULTIMATE Discord (by Brucknerhun), after which he finally had to admit it was true after I showed him HIS OWN README from an alpha version in which he admitted everything. Therefore claiming "nobody cares" that he "stole" their code without permission at all.

Actually, I would agree to that, if not for his (and this time truly his) underhanded tactics of therefore claiming it is his "EXLUCIVE USE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY"

And thereafter lurking on my discord to poach people and ideas, immediately making a claim to implement creature artifacts the very day I published plans to that matter.

Well, it seems he "cares" because he's doing extreme sabotage when I never put any obstacle to his blatant disregard for others, all without making any public statement and hoping all stays on shadows and subterfuge. This is not the way of men, but of rats. Yes, do notice that he copyright claimed ALL of my releases, even though, I only included the EQUILIBRIS-ORIGINATED QOL and bug-fixes in my v9 version from 2024, and no other version includes any equilibris, or albyx for that matter, code at all.

It seems ModDB just deleted all my files due to mass reporting from Albyx's accounts, as I said, even files which are several years old and predate the very entry of Albyx into the community.

This is unbecoming not only of the mod community, but of human decency in general.

What do we have here?

NimoStar and BrucknerHun, insulting and putting out false accusations right away, as nothing else remains when they are forced to remove the stolen work of others from their “work of passion they put heart and soul into”. If your heart and soul are plugins stolen from me, I can only feel bad for you guys.

Let’s go from the very beginning, how do you guys know it was me who reported Ultimate? It’s because you, NimoStar and BrucknerHun, know exactly why Ultimate got reported.

These people blame me for not allowing players to play Ultimate, but they conveniently forget the fact that I notified them about not allowing usage of my work in OCTOBER, they had THREE to FOUR months to process this information, and yet NimoStar willingly chose to doom Ultimate mod launch by stealing the work he didn’t have permission to use. Blame and be angry at yourselves, as nobody forced you to do this.

NimoStar seems to really like the “stolen Equilibris code” argument, so I’d like him to post an exact guide for how he knew it was Equilibris code in the plugins he has stolen. For interested people to check, you know? How convenient that all plugins he took are claimed to be “stolen Equilibris code”, including the Turn Order Display plugin that has never been created by other modders but me, or fixes of complex bugs requiring programming new artifact system behavior from scratch, like the shield effect fix.
People playing Equilibris have been asking me to create these plugins for a long time, so they must be stupid then if it was already in Equi, LMAO. Not to mention that the majority of other fixes aren’t present in any version of Equilibris.

Or do you, NimoStar, think that fixing the same bug as Equilibris means I’m stealing from them? Well, taking DLLs from my Enhancement Mod, without permission and without mentioning in credits is 100%, pure and undeniable theft.
Judgment of others is an extension of self-judgment. The only thing you are capable of is stealing from others, so I’m not surprised you think everyone else is doing nothing but claiming someone else’s work. For this same reason, I’m not surprised you thought you’d get away with this theft.

Direct confession that you’ve stolen my code in Ultimate Mod V9. I have very fascinating news for you later, be patient. BTW, how does the fact something is Equilibris-originated mean you can steal it into Ultimate? Are you Equilibris member? You know very well the answer is no.

It was enough to make one report from my only account on moddb with all the needed proof that you stole from Enhancement Mod and that stolen content is made by me and belongs to me. It’s 7-8 pages of undeniable and provable evidence. You guys make such claims about botting with no evidence, maybe discuss this problem with ModDB admins first.
Why shouldn't people assume all your other claims are as real as this one, which you threw just to add drama and portray yourself as a victim?

Regarding the empty claims of NimoStar and BrucknerHun of me being responsible for taking down 3 years of Ultimate mod, I didn’t actually report all of their files, only Ultimate V9 for stealing plugins from Enhancement Mod. Furthermore, I only asked administration to remove stolen DLLs, see the ending of the Report yourself:



What NimoStar and BrucknerHun also don't mention is that I’m not the only person who asked them to remove their work from Ultimate, whose requests they also ignored, that's why other versions got deleted.

NimoStar, BrucknerHun, would a real man do such a thing as pathetic as renaming of DLLs, hoping no one notices and all stays on shadows and subterfuge? If you claim you are right and I’m wrong in reporting you, why rename files “you have a right to use” into random words?

“CLOWNERS.DLL” is my favorite and quite self-critical from your part, it sums up what you did perfectly .

Hi N! Thank you SO much for this epic meltdown full of yet more lies. It’s like you are unable to be anything but selfish and deceitful.

Where to begin? Ah, I’ll just start with your wonderful post!

And yes, I can revoke permission to use my work. At. Any. Time.

The reason v5, v6, v7, and v8 got removed is because you did NOT remove my work from your uploads. You had almost 4 months to do so and chose not to. I tried to do this privately on discord with Brucknerhun so that you wouldn’t get your feelings hurt. What did you tell Brucknerhun when he informed you? Did you just decide you could do whatever you wanted?

What in the world are you talking about? Only someone with absolutely zero knowledge of reversing and dll writing (real modding?) could possibly think Albyx stole code from Equilibris. The addresses in the exe files can’t be “stolen.” With as much work as you claim to have done on H4, more than the actual NWC devs, it is surprising that you continue making these clearly false claims. As I am still an Equilibris programmer, I can 100% say you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Or is it maybe because you aren’t a programmer, as you have said before? Oh, but you mention in several places on your moddb page about how programming takes so much time and effort while asking people to donate money.

There isn’t any “illegal” variation of H4MS. The H4MS used in Albyx’s Enhancement mod is straight from RoseKavalier’s github, which I can also attest to. But really all you mean by that is that everything should be available for you to steal and use at your leisure. H4MS is there to load the plugins, it doesn’t reverse the game or write the plugins itself.

Where is your proof that you proved Albyx wrong? I personally remember things quite a bit differently there.

None of us have ever poached any of your ideas. We already 100% debunked your claim that Albyx stole the idea of artifacts working on creatures in the Enhancement mod thread, so I’m not sure why you are making that claim yet again. In any case, the backpack artifact slot type is already present in the game’s resources, so nothing there is new from Albyx OR you.

On that same note, immediately after reading the proof posted by Albyx, which mentioned boss creatures, you immediately went off and tried to create “bosses” of your own. Seems like you might be projecting a bit there as far as who is doing the stealing.

But hey, you said you planned to mod artifacts that work on creatures into the game, so go ahead and implement that for ultimate. If you do your own work, no one will be able to complain

Again, moddb would not have removed anything if it wasn’t blatantly clear that you STOLE it. What about the HoMM general discord? Did they also treat you unfairly by removing the link to v9?



And mass reports? Try ONE report. I reported your first V9 upload with a single report, and only updated my same report after you re-uploaded V9 again. My updated report called out the rest of the ultimate versions with my work in it. Moddb says the investigation takes up to 1 month for them to take action. Well, they took action within 2 days BOTH times, so clearly the provided evidence was undeniable.

TLDR: Please remove H4 Chronicles and Price of Loyalty from any future ultimate releases, and do not add any of our work to ultimate. Since you did not want to handle this privately, this is your public notice, for everyone to see, of me revoking your permission (that was revoked back in October 2023 with your community manager, Brucknerhun, in screenshot above). That includes the versions you have been calling “your” version.

There's been a bunch of proof given that he did wrong by other modders, through his words (claiming ownership of things, accusing others of theft (and being proven wrong)), and his deeds (as you can see here with the dlls pointed out by Albyx).

Could you explain why ? I'm genuinely saddened, I thought highly of you and now it's looking like I was wrong, so I'd like to understand.

Ehlesgens art is a fake of Iliveinabox, we also had this false "user" come in the H4 Ultimate discord to start sh*it (always at the same time as Iliveinabox and connected simultaneously saying "iliveinabox is such right, wow"

Again, only lies and fakes come.

Notice how this user never posted anything except for this matter.

The actual "H4 Chronicles" maps were made by ByteBandit, he never demanded their removal or contacted me.

The "text" can not be copyrighted by Iliveinabox since it is copy-pasted straight from H3 Chronicles made over 25 years ago by New World Computing!

To boot this is only a maps, not "content from another mods" used "without credit" (the whole Chronicles readme and credits were always included within the H4 Ultimate distribution). This has been so for three years.


Furthermore, it is this "readme" which fails to give proper credit, since the object pack was made at my behest first, see here
Even failing that, there is still a "Nimo" tag in the object pack with my first objects, which is loaded by defualt in the object pack campaign editor!



This is being distributed "without authorization" by both Ilive and Albyx in all of their releases, and is actual mod content and not just maps



Guess I should "report" everything from Iliveinabox and Albyx so they are deleted on this, huh?

Dear NimoStar and BrucknerHun,

I will also confirm that everything Albyx and iliveinabox05 said is absolutely true and you know it!
All of your latest posts are just false issues that you wrote because of your deceitful nature.
That's also the reason you didn't argue or address any point they said because you simply can't.

When I first started modding H4 a few years ago and visited this HC forum I found very nice and passionate people,
and I thought you two were part of them. But unfortunately it seems I was completely wrong!

My respect for you NimoStar actually disappeared a few months ago.
It all started sometime in October last year when BrucknerHun asked me several times on Discord on your behalf to help you
with compiling my new creatures mod so you can change it and use it further.
And I would have done it if not for your very bad attitude towards iliveinabox05 and Albyx.
You were very arrogant and rude to them on the Ultimate Discord server, eventually even banning them,
and that's when I also refused to help you in any way in changing and compiling my code or modding in general.

And a few days ago my respect for BrucknerHun also vanished completely after his latest post here,
where it seems he's an accomplice of yours in this whole theft situation.

Also Ehlesgens-Art is not a fake but a very nice member and great artist of our RoA (Restoration of Axeoth) team for many years.

Also please remove the "* Several fixes originally based on equi355 and h4zero work" line from your changelog because (as you know it very well)
it is completely false. It was only meant to disguise the fact that you stole several DLL fixes from Albyx.

My disappointment in you two is truly immeasurable and it will take a long time (if ever) to gain your respect back.
I hope you will reconsider your actions and at least apologize for all your lies and wrongdoings.

I am very much my own person Nimo, thank you.

If you go back way to the beginning of your thread, there's posts by Assryn (my old account, which I lost the email address for), and I was very enthusiastic about your mod. And then you started stealing stuff.

The only "snow" I started in your discord was to ask that stuff not be taken and put into Ultimate without express consent of their author, and you banned me from there for that lol. Goes to show who you are.

Also remember that new Titan? Yes, I'm one of the artists behind it, and yes, one of the very same who said a definitive NO to you getting your hands on the model of it, because you've shown you cannot be trusted to not appropriate the creation of others and claim it as your own.

All that backlash you brought on yourself, through your arrogance, and megalomaniac tendencies. You really need to take a cold hard look at your behaviour and the things you've done, with honesty, if not to us, then to yourself (if you're capable), and really shift your attitude. You're putting yourself on the bench of the H4 modding community.

Now if you don't mind, I'd ask you refrain from addressing me, I wasn't talking to you to begin with, only to Bruckner, who I remember having nice chats with on said discord a long time ago, and am shocked to see support your nefarious behaviour.

As usual, you’re just plain wrong. Ehlesgens is Assryn. If you don't know who a person is, it doesn't mean they are a bot. It means you just have nothing else to say.

We could use this same logic about Brucknerhun. He only ever posts to say “N great omg wow.” It’s almost as if Brucknerhun was AI generated.. And we know who loves some AI..

Assryn has plenty of other posts. See the thing is, you don’t really need to post on HC very often when you’re already on a Discord with the people you would be having a conversation with from the forums. You just talk on Discord instead. Ehlesgens did mention we have a private discord in the Enhancement mod thread when you made more false accusations and were proven wrong.

And again, false statement. ByteBandit and I worked on H4 Chronicles together. ByteBandit is part of the RoA team. ByteBandit is on the private discord server that Ehlesgens and I mentioned. ByteBandit does not need to deal with you. ByteBandit does not want to deal with you.

In fact, no one wants to deal with you, so I’m normally the one to speak here. Your lies and theft have just gone so far that people who normally just want to pretend you don’t exist have come here just to throw their weight behind Albyx and myself.

No one said the text from Heroes Chronicles is copyrighted. What is copyrighted is the massive amount of work ByteBandit and I put into these campaigns.

It’s literally content that you are distributing without permission. And as far as our credits, you buried the credits file for these campaigns all the way down in the maps directory where the campaign files are. Even without the atrocious organization of your maps directory, no one would ever find it. It’s like the show Hoarders but on a computer.

An actual attempt to give credits would be having them in the description where the upload exists, as well as on forum posts. Take RoA for example, H4 Chronicles has a readme with credits directly above the campaign downloads.

Now look at ultimate. The only credit you list in your post is for the HD mod (after a wall of text that no one will ever read and so wouldn’t find that single line).

On ultimate’s moddb page, there are zero credits listed in the mod description and you make it sound like you did everything, which we’ve already proven to be false. And asking for money as well.

And here you are, yet again, claiming the work of others. Karmakeld put the object package together, and no, it wasn’t at your behest. Even if you had the idea first, which you did not, Karmakeld is still the one that did the work, not you.

So, no, the readme for Karmakeld’s object pack is not wrong.

Also, you realize no objects from the object package are used in H4 Chronicles, right? How could these campaigns be played on WoW without any additional resource files.. You made sure to check first before making that claim right? RIGHT?

That particular credit for the object pack, which again is correctly attributed to Karmakeld, was intended to cover the eventual case when we start a modded version of these campaigns.

Oh am I distributing your objects when the H4 Chronicles maps don’t use any mod files and the only downloads are the campaigns themselves? That’s a very interesting theory you have there!

I guess you should definitely “report” everything from us! Spoiler alert, you already have. So I guess if we’ve done something wrong then Enhancement mod uploads will be deleted soon..
