What is nonsensical is to claim a psychologist cant give his opinion while a billion of other people without any expertise give their, each day, in every media. Who presented him as an authority? Not me. Who forces you to listen? Not me.
Who said the gender gap doesn't exist? Not me. What I say is the gender gap isn't due to gender, but to multiple parameters which you refuse to consider as its easier to think in slogans.
Our industries are controlled by capitalism, they will relocate in countries paying less each time they can. Within that logic, why don't they hire only women, is that is cheaper, for same result?

Then why do you argue when I state just that. That he isn't an authority and that you could just as well listen to ANYONE giving their 2 cents about this.
Of course it's a bit more complicated. For example the fact that this guy with a completely different field of expertise uses his standing to push an opinion in a field that he's a layman in at best - which is, on that level, dishonest.
His opinions - which have nothing to do with the topic, actually - are VERY conservative and VERY, well, Christian dominated and are THEREFORE anti-women and anti-trans per necessity.
If you read things, like, he doesn't use words that are not in the dictionary to address trans-people ... I mean, WHAT? If words would have to be in the dictionary before you use them, no one would use new words - ever.
You can build a shrine for this bag of hot air, if you want to, but I'd think you defend him just because you share most of his views. Unsurprisingly.
And OF COURSE the gender gap is due to gender. What you mean is, that the gender gap isn't exclusively based on the fact that women are paid less than men in the same job for the same work - but the ultimate reason is, well, STILL gender. For example, the gender gap would be less big, if nurses and geriatric nurses would be better paid, because the majority of workers there are female. Is that a gender-based problem. Sure. It's been a "female profession" right from the start and if it's women... well.

I didn't argue on the fact you dispute his authority, you listen to who you like. I argued on your baseless lies about him being controversial because anti woman and anti trans.
Look, of course gender is one of parameters, the question is "is it a social construct or simply biological realities".
Women are interested in different fields, they like different things, they spent their time doing different things, talking about different subjects. That doesn't mean one second they are inferior, just different. Coincidentally it happens that jobs where men excel are better paid, because you work harder, longer, you have basically no social life thus less social interactions.
Studies you cited take a sample of several hundred women then compare with a sample of hundred men, ignoring vacancies, maternity gap, productivity, quality, time spent and so. You saw yourself, tennis champion Selena Williams complaining she make less money than Federer, for "same job".
Except she hits less hard, she runs slower, she plays less time (3 sets instead of 5), when she played a man who was ranked 200, she lost 2-6 then when she got pregnant, she lost her N1 ranking.
Yet I still hear people yelling same nonsense about how unfair this is because she "is a woman". Hence my problem with radical feminism and their useful idiots, it ignores reality it doesn't like to hear.
