Release Date is Late Q2 2025

What the devs meant Q2 of 2025 is: To be taken in consideration of being somewhat really late in Q2(April to June).
In other words, Late May but, no later than 3rd week of June-2025.
Be patient, be very patient, young one.

Eugene_Xaar, where did you find that "not approved" HOMM7 concept of elf riding a lynx?

My guess would be that it came from that blog that Ubisoft made to try to convince everyone they cared about our feedback by voting on the lineups. I vaguely remember some kind of calvary being an option.

But that disappeared from the face of internet, and I couldn't find the picture no matter how I searched (did see a thread on here bemoaning the concept got rejected).

Thanks <3
Lore is strange, but kitty is nice.
EDIT: now, knowing is is from Compendium, I did find it elsewhere. Named Amazone for whatever reason.

I've been avoiding most of the news on the game so I can judge it when it is more fully ready, right now my HommII Grognard self is disappointed that they seem to be eschewing traditional fantast and fairytale in favour of their own creations. The collective unconscious of myths will always be stronger and more compelling.
I have the same problem with Songs of Conquest, but that said, the little gameplay I played of SoC was very good, even though I didn't like the visuals or designs, so I hope this game will be the same.
Totally agree. The problem with their "original" theme isn't even that it's terrible by itself, it's just that it is "Original".
HoMM always drew heavily from classic D&D and fairy tales, and that's a huge reason people loved it. Turning it into something that feels more like Warcraft or Warhammer just isn't what I'm looking for in a HoMM game.
I wonder if they do it because they think people prefer that really or is just their egos wanting to do their "own" thing.
Heroes literally took inspiration from Warhammer Fantasy, as well as DnD but the latter is much broader knowledge.
So you are contradicting yourself on this one, with all due respect ofcourse.
Inb4 what inspiration - Elves (high/wood) for example.

Warhammer is very heavily based on human mythos, which is why their own universe is so inspirational to so many people. (like Blizzard)
That said, I don't see the connection in Homm 2 and 3. DnD and even Star Wars seem much more prominent. Maybe the green skinned orcs/goblins in #3?

I probably don't understand the question, you mean what inspiration took H3 from Warhammer ? If that's it, then the answer is High Elves for example.

In what ways are High Elves an example of Warhammer inspiration, keeping in mind that 1) the term comes direct from Tolkien and was in use in D&D before Warhammer, 2) H3 doesn't, technically, have High Elves. It, like H2 before it, has Grand Elves, who are placed as part of the same culture, society and polities as Wood Elves?
