Apparently, Unfrozen has a press kit on their website which contains a whole bunch of new screenshots (in a dropbox). I found some interesting things going through them. Big thanks to Heroes 3.5 for posting a few and pointing me to where they could be found.
First off, we have what seems to be a returning face.
I'm pretty confident that this is an Azure Dragon. The head is significantly different than the Black Dragon. It makes sense; Olden Era has neutrals that go over tier 7, and what's the most iconic higher-than-7 creature in the series?
I also noticed these:
These appear to be recolours for some Hive creatures. Previously, the Locust was red with yellow wings, while the Mantis was black. I think that will help them stand out from each other, especially if they also recolour some of the upgrades.
Next interesting thing is this guy:
He doesn't seem to match any Temple creature. What it looks like to me is a Dragon Hunter from MM8. It's insane that we're this far along and I'm still finding new neutral creatures. There are so many.
Finally:
No clue what this is supposed to be, but it's cute.

I don't know what the golden lizard statue gives you, but in my heart of hearts I want it to be tier 5 spells.

That dragon is Abyss Dragon, not-black-black-dragon. They are, supposedly, snows.
Gold lizard statue may hint at salamanders. It has multiple legs like a basilisk, tho.

Wow, that Temple townscreen looks much better than the one in the videos. The outskirts buildings look great, with that medieval low fantasy feel, while the important buildings stand out more. It's a good take. The purple/blue roof buildings don't blend very well though.

Currently reading through the post with skills and mechanics and looking at the way classes and sub-classes work, I am not sure I will like the amount of it.
Don't get me wrong, it does not sound bad but as someone who started HoMM with H5 and only one hero class, I can get behind having two classes like most games seem to have.
I can also get behind the idea of sub-classes and I guess I could get behind only having 1 hero class + sub-classes.
Olden Era, however, seems to have 2 classes + 2 sub-classes each and that makes a total of 6 per faction.
I honestly thought H6 and H7 were having too many with 6 classes per faction but maybe Olden Era will do a better job at that.
EDit: I mean, maybe I am wrong but looks like no hero start with a sub-class and that already is an improvement.

The subclasses seem more akin to the ultimate abilities from H5 than the subclasses in H4 or H6. You pick a specific set of skills which may or may not be optimal, and are rewarded with a very powerful passive bonus.

It reads to me like a combination of H5 and H6. Personally I'm always in favor of more role playing elements as long as they're well implemented.

If you're talking about the description of the Soul Assimilator ability, that's been an open secret for a while. Some eagle-eyed people spotted in during the arena showcases in March.

Yeah that's what I was referring to. I didn't realize it was an open secret. It didn't look like there was much in there we didn't already know but I do feel kind of bad for looking without knowing if they were allowed to post that or not. I have thoughts but out of respect for the devs I won't share them until the game is out.
