Uprising is the best withour any doubt.

The Lone Knight and Eternal Love are also perfect.

I enjoyed them a lot but still I prefer To kill for power or UTB. The Lone Knight has a difficult artefacts and quest management which spoils such good map and story. The uprising looks great, but few players enjoy a water based map. Regular Heroes editor is very limited and having 100 seer huts scattered here and there asking for x artefact is getting very tedious after a while. But among the best for sure!

If said like that, 亵渎 is better than UBT or VIM. To kill for power I haven't played...

Nonetheless, I love Uprising, though many people don't like water.

Hi there,
is this forum still active?
i hope so...i try anyway
i restarted to play homm3 (i'll never get tired of this game) i like solo maps so i started vengeance is mine... now i got stacked, any one remember how to play this map? now i can't stop playing it but i can't go on!
i found a txt that explain how to do it, but i got stacked anyway, i can't find a secret path, i just hope is not a bug... i just vanished the barbarians (blu), i went to utopia, i went undergroung i defeated the necromancer... and now?? i can't go nowhere, anyone can help??
i'd apreciate any advise...

Try with Wayfarer creator is a Chinese player and i liked it so much that i am trying to locate more maps like this one preferably by him. I found many new things on Heroes 3 by playing this map :-).

The easiest way to defeat Draxinusom/Thorgrim is to attack with a big stack of Archdevils, 5 single stacks of Silver Pegasi (increase enemy's spell cost; also serves as a distraction) and an Archmage (reduce own spell cost). Anyone replayed this battle recently? This above doesn't work for me, becouse as soon as AI casts Prayer, I lose the speed advantage and soon after the battle. His Rusts get to speed 21 and I'm only at 17 - no Cape of Velocity anywhere. Don't have Air magic either, and that Haste gets me to 20, but without Anti-Magic, AI will slow me anyway.

I could cast Force Field every turn, not waiting for previous one to expire, but then AI started resurrecting his Sharpshooters, and imidiatelly surrounded them with dragons, so, couldn't reach them with Devils.

Will I be forced to use my whole army? Think years ago, I actually played like that, with Ancients, Mighty Gorgons and Hydras as help as well.

Another gem by AT.

EDIT: Full army it was, and it was kinda easy. Basically, had to deal with Gold and Rust Dragons only. Had 800 centaurs and 1100 hobgoblins for Sacrifice purposes, but think I could've brought just one stack for that, had plenty of mana. Also had to destroy my own catapult, not to make a hole in the wall.

Maybe I was too late there, so good army made it easier than intended. 9th month, had this...

550+ Archdevils
1 Archdevil (for gate)
400 Chaos Hydras
480 Ancient Behemots
944 Might Gorgons

and already mentioned Centaurs (white ones) and Hobgoblins. First turn, force field right next to his sharpshooters so when I attack them with Archdevils, noone can touch them, save for poor sharpies. He went for hydras with both Goldies and Rusts, and killed them, also cast counterstrike. Single Arch in front of gate, centaurs attack Goldies, and then so do Gorgons and Behemots. Suffer some more casaulties of course, 240 Rusts are tough, but after dealing with that, AI apparently stuck in a loop then. Stone skin, Shield, Blind my Archies, I dispel every third round. In previous battles, if I didn't, AI would occasionally Teleport his troops out. Easy resurrection, Frenzy on Archies to finish his troops inside...

Too bad after that battle I found Cape of Velocity, and a lovely Clone spell. Guess with those, quoted strategy would work better.

Looks like I don't have a save anymore. Think I've just overwritten it with a save just before final battle.

I don't mind if I have "too much" of an army. Played the map almost blind, at my own pace - couldn't much remember from my previous playthrough which happened...dunno really, 6-7 years at least ago.

Andhera left, who looks scary, and those pesky necromancers who just can't not try to take over Minoc. Their heroes are much stronger than my second Commando, Tazar, guess that's why they try, even with much weaker armies.

My mistake.

Here is a way to defeat dragonmaster in UtB_SoD, suggested by SuperWaterKing(translated name) from gamerhome.

troops:
archdevils, ancients, one goldie, on goldie,
..., one goldie
1. cast forgetfulness on medusas
2. use forcefield to protect ancients & AD
3. anti-magic on AD
Then clone ancients to kill everything



I do the same tactic and defeat dragonmaster easily. Remember to wear all the speed items.
