I just had an idea about the avatars.
Would it be possible that when you get 8 QP's, that you have the ability to be able to change your avatar whenever you want instead of having to wait a month for Valeriy to upload it to the forum?
The avatars wouldn't necessarily need to be uploaded to the forum in order for them to be displayed. i have seen on many other forum types where you can get an avatar from your computer or provide a link from Photobucket or Imageshack or a variety of image hosting sites. It would also be possible to restrict the avatar file size to around 4 KB's and maximum dimensions of 100x100 or whatever the limit you have set already. I think it might allow the members with 8 QP's something else to have and for them to be able to easily upload the avatars that they want.
I know that this could be abused such as people perhaps adding pornography pictures as their avatars or possibly making a moderator avatar when they aren't allowed to, but perhaps the poser could have the avatar changing permission banned for them or they can just get a penalty. I think it would work nicely and I doubt it would be abused could still happen though, because the people with 8 QP's didn't just get them for no reason. They got them because they were responsible and I am pretty sure they wouldn't want to go back to having flood protect when posting
So what do you guys and girls think about this?

The problem with that suggestion is that it disenfranchises just about everyone but the old-timers. It's not that easy to get qps and to get 8 of them would take awhile. Plus you'd probably end up with some of the more eccentric members changing their avatars weekly.

Well what about 3 QP's? And changing avatars isn't all that bad. I mean, anyone can change their avatars at a very fast rate right now via the HC avatar gallery, so that wouldn't be too much of a problem. The QP's thing might be though.

Well I have an even better one and personally, on other forums, I like having the freedom to choose what avatar I wanted, without having to wait a month for it to be uploaded. I like making my own custom avatars so I am often wanting to change but i can't because we have to wait a year. I am hoping this can be changed.

Well, I think it's a good idea, but I think the requirements should be around 5 QPs. When you have 5, you've proven that your are a Quality Person (I hope ) and you don't have to wait that long to get it.

Yeah, that would be a reasonable amount since a lot of the currently active members have around 5 QP's. You will get there soon enough, Lexxan.
Regarding 5 QP's: I agree, when members have around 5 QP's, they are generally regarded as responsible, even though the QP Responsible prefix is 8 QP's But who cares
