I agree with Markkur. I don't like to pester other members, but if they don't see the message I send and I have to alert them myself, it's annoying.

I think the only reason it happens is because it's possible to post without staying signed on.
Edit: Perhaps it's only an issue for few members as I guess it's only something the elderly does.

THE BOTS ARE ON THE MOVE
Bot forces have been slowly building up throughout the last couple of months (since 11th of March, to be exact). They all seem to be the product of the same script and take up the first 93 pages of the MemberList, should you sort by register date. Therefore, I propose we upgrade our bot defences, as they seem completely out of date.

Having recently tried to search a term, I have to cringe at just how awkward the search engine is here. Is there any way you can narrow the search to at least a single sub-forum, if not a single thread?

What about creating a Patreon link where people donate some amount needed to hire a professional which secures HC from paper/writing essay advertising bots?
I would donate for that.

Easy fix for this is a verification for the first post. On another forum I joined a while ago they have this rule that your first post must be verified by an admin/mod before shown to the public and before you're able to post more.
Of course, someone needs to be able to dedicate their time to this, and frequent HC at least once per day. Might sound like a crude solution, but it doesn't involve any complicated procedures or annoying and unreliable captchas.

Thats not a good idea, it requires a lot of time, dedication and also demotivates new members.
Something to code during registration, there must be easy solutions, there are many advertising free forums without post restrictions.
