Also, instead of 2% of HC post having QPs, and as many -QPs as needed, I think that
25% of posts: QPs
25% of posts: -QPs.

It would be a good thing to list bonuses for other members to see , I agree.
The thinking behind it though, is that when we become moderators we "give up our stars" so in a sense they are gone, and no longer apply to our profile.

Suggestion so threads aernt repeated almost every month
as most people may or may not notice, there are threads ussually repeated many times, such as whats ur favourite Might and Magic, whats ur favourite HOMM, what is ur favourite spell etc.
i have a suggestion where you sticky these threads BUT instead of putting the sticky mark next to them you just sticky them without the symbol, that way it wont draw people away from the important sticky threads but it will always be on the first page so the thread doesnt repeatedly get repeated. And maybe u could put more threads on the front page so the sticked threads dont get in the way of other threads...

It does make sense to keep track of the most commonly repeated threads ; especially those in library where it seems to happen the most often.
I think indexing is the best way we can do this; if we had a bunch of different threads that stayed on page one all the time, i think it would get annoying to have to keep checking through later pages for new posts

would it make sense to attach that new thread (old topic) to the older thread ?? by attaching it to the old it would avoid having 20 of the same theme and it would revive the older one too!
It might prove more productive than just referring a member to a thread that died 2 years ago..

I agree with you 100% there, but unfortunately right now we don't have the ability to merge posts.
It would be an excellent thing to have though, then we could also merge all the art threads and joke threads etc rather than have 1 new thread per.

you can't merge them but can you move a post??
(the habit seems to be to post in the new thread a
"please check out this thread" with a hyperlink...)
the new thread doesn't grow and Im not even sure if they are moved to the vw.
that's kinda annoying...

Server load has increased quite a bit due to the opening of the new Age of Heroes, and host has since moved the site onto another server.
Let me know if you still experience frequent slowdowns after the posting of this message, and when they happen (in GMT time).
Meanwhile, there are lots of minor layout changes on HC - those are still in progress.
Because of AOH Advertising Network, you might have noticed there are no more pop-ups or unrelated banners, and no more than 1 ad per page.

yeah that must have happend just recently...
everything seems back up to speed!
so any luck with the IM thingy??
(it's hard to see if Lee's mad at me without it!!)
EDIT:
I'd also just like to add that I find the mood around HC really great! Everyone seems in high spirits lately even though there isn't much homm3 stuff going on (of course).
The gamers are busy with the beta-tests and the spammers(aka me) are lovin' the social contexts!
(oh and Jester for Mod! lol no not really)

HC menu
Good Improvement has been done in these weeks I could often attend this forum. The first thing I noticed is the "HC menu": it's cutie and very usefull!!. Now I can go through different important sites without writing each time the URL and in addition I have the possibility to update myself about HC in a faster way (good, good, very good!).

As I logged into runescape -a game which is either free to play, or pay to play with member access to many things- I wondered if there is potential of HC membership.
There are misc things which could be done or maybe not but heres a few ideas. A onetime donation of $5 is worth giving apretiation by some of the following.
1: I dont know.. lol I'll think later unless someone else does it for me.
2: Not big shiney things by our avatars, unless its genuinely cool or something.. But not if all it says is "member" it's got to have true sheekness (or something).

why do admin/mod avatars appear in a blurry/infrared fashion nowdays?
do you guys see this aswell or is it only me?

Nothing blurry about mod/admin avatars at my end...
You can send HCM to anyone by going to one of their posts and clicking "Send Instant Message" (see below on the left of this post). If your HCM is open, the new message box will appear right inside it. Otherwise, you'll get a separate window.

When i look at the page "today´s post" and click on one of the mentioned threads on the left, i always get to the first page of the thread instead of the last post.

I guess the latest page number needs to be added in order to jump to the latest post. It seems like clicking any link to a thread without a page number will result in taking you to the first page. That's probably the default.

I've knocked that feature out accidentally as I was optimizing. It's back now.
Also, most of you probably already noticed the change on the index page where it now lists the last thread and poster for each forum.

i just noticed another addition to the renovation of HC.
I'm speaking about the little green dot, placed in the right of the avatar for members that are curently online(at least that i can figure that means). It isn't a bad ideea, but i think it makes the board looks lie a Cristmas tree
Maybe you could find a different method to signal one's presence(except consulting the list on the main page). I would suggest changing the color of the Username, for online members
just my 2 cents
