Huh?
what do u mean? Eagle eye is a secondary skill and a unit like that has NOTHING to do with humans.
Now Ziplheg u are right first was mostly pesants, yet it is amazing how much they accomplishe. Then the next two were Knight. Even in the first there was a buch of knights and a humangous amount of pesants. So yes there were pesants, but hey the thing they did best was die(just like in Homm3 :-)). Well a person named a crusader can only be a knight.

hmmmm.......
The strange thing is that the first crusade (the one with the most peasents and the leasts knights) is the one where they captured Jeruselam for some time. Seems that would make peasents stronger than knights. They lost it in the next crusade which was called the second crusade (boring name ). The next crusade they tried to capture it back again, but couldn't this crusade was called the crusade of Kings because the army was led by three different kings. This is as much as I could look up last night I'll get more later.

With the individualized goal of achieving the ultimate unit be a undermining in gameplay? No. However it is important not to make such an ultimate unit 'ultimate'.
Name one unit that could even closely match wits with the Archangel?
The point being is that not every side had the capability to use the Archangels. So what of the other towns?

The name azure dragon springs to mind. Id prefer bosses in the game (as ive said before) but only for campaigns.

Even so the Archangel can spar with the dragons; however what of the units from other towns?
Will it be of prestige to hold them in HOMM4? Or will there be some additions/modificiations?

Well...
A unit that could beat an archangel. Now I thought a Titan, if blessed. Many hitpoints and a well attack and defense. Probably only if u blessed one. Same goes with Black and Gold Dragons.

I see your point, buit you didn't see mine. I said crusaders are MORE of a healer, not ultimate healer (in fantasy books). We're not talking about real crusaders here.

And even if we are talking real history, why did they call these people "crusaders?" Because they are knights who fight. Yes, they are peasants wishing to go to heaven, but they are recruitments in the Crusades, and they DO fight. And most of them DO have weapons to fight with.

Incubus, you got some issues. I think that angels and archangels should stay in HOMM 3 because after HOMM 3 you are just used to the fact that angels are better than crusaders. Angels should definetly stay.

There was this ancient legend that angels of high honor (seraphim and cherubs) hold these items:
Angelic Holyfire Sword (Latin: Le Corss Gasidon)
Shield of Truth
Mantle of Order
These items were displayed on the Archangel in Heroes 3 and are predictably made into actual artifacts that you can find in HOMM4. This is just a note.
