Hey.
- Well Sir E. I have been to your server.. a looong time standing one -early 02 if I'm not mistaken. But as on ( Just an example ) Three Towns ( or howmany there are  ) you get a free ride from 1 to 7 .. AND then you have 5 deaths.. after your 5th wham bam thank you Mam .. new toon... I can see ALOT of pros. on this but as we both probably knows .. theres a flip-side to alot of coins :- Yours is ( as I see it) right side to that .. am I wrong ? - I havent been to a website, if such is available .

- P.S. I am ALWAYS up for a challenge.. just not a sudden death'ish - No matter how PnP it's going to be.. it's NwN..

Hard build(s)..
Hey.
-Though old, it still impresses me. I just made a toon that is str. based BUT has epic dodge ( I kinda thought it would be perfect ) since I tried a 2handed weapon this time. Not a really solo 'er but a very good backup
-Even with / on some of the "only" + 12 item servers it's really cool.. try it out I'd say.
- I am currently playing a ftr 28 / bard 2 / rdd 10 .. Nice one, EVEN with servers who has subraces

Cool servers....
Hey,
- Well this may be a bit late since we have gotten the release date of NwN 2 , but I am sure some will still be playing the "old" servers, atleast in the transitional phase e.g. getting used to the "new" and improved toolset for once.
- I have played on some servers in my NwN time and I thought I would list a few of their community boards here along with their names. This way people could just visit the boards to see if that way of playing suits them. I will not list them in a way that what I think is the best,and why, simply because I can't. Different servers offer different styles of playing hence the randomness 
- Princess Bride
This one was the server that I logged on to the very first day I got online to play this great game. This server really has it all, maybe except for UBER-ness powerlvl'ing. To mention a few things that really shines when you enter this world is ( I haven't played on it for a while so I may be a bit wrong in some areas ) :
1) Subraces ( all tested and ready to go )
2) Forging, and just not the original that comes with the game, but a specialized one, that makes you upgrated your items to nearly Godlike tools ) All is tested and runs smoothly.
3) A friendly atmosphere and frequent DM visits.
4) Hack and slash mixed with RP is not uncommon here.

This may THE server. It has it all... I am really running out of words trying to describe this great and longstanding server.
A warm thought to Remy and Mr and Mz Shadow ( + Metal-Golem and his staff.. to many to list here ) for having this mod. running.
1) More areas that you can count.. well nearly
2) Almost ALL is scripted in a way that you'll never see on other servers.
3) Up to +20 weapons/items. Uncapped spells. Quests ,running up till lvl 40+ ( I'll get back to this later ). And much MUCH more could be written here.
4)Subraces.... Ever wanted to be a centaur-like melee Blackguard ? Or a Hellcasting Pixie ?, not to mention a Hound Archon assassin ?
Well this is THE place for that sort of stuff.. all costumized and is working 100%....
5)Special areas where you CANNOT even enter without teaming up with another class because YOU can't get the skills ( or enough at it ).
6) Usually a friendly mod. with lots of cool players.
7) Tired of reaching lvl 40 and saying to yourself ; What to do now ?
fear not... here you can progress to lvl 80
8) Hack and slash is the prefered kind of action here.

Hosted by a former player,I met through Princes Bride, called Hank.
A mod. still under construction, but ALL the basiscs is up and running.
1)Subraces ( LETO ) and there are plenty of them, so it's really just YOUR imagination that sets the limits.
2) Hank is VERY open for suggestions, so this is also a place where YOU could actually have a final saying in the construction of a/an item... area... monster / boss .. so swing by and look around 
3)Forging/soceted system much similar to what you may have seen/discovered in Diablo2..so this would give you a hint as to HOW many possibilities there are.
4)Very friendly players / DM's - this is the place you want to go if you DONT want to be alone, but interact with other players.
5)Hack and slash is the most frequent type used here.

- Lost Souls 1 and 2
This is also a cool place, it's been a bit "under the weather" the last month or so, but players are beginning to come back. Great and very surprising mod. imo.
1)If your looking for UBERNESS... well do swing by and have your urge for uberness outlived here !! Lost Souls server 1 is UBERNESS.. but server 2 is even more.. but so are the encounters...
2) "forging" - but not as per say.... it more is a hunt for items/tokens ( from Bosses ) so you then can upgrate your entire wardrobe including rings,amulets ( I will elaborate this in #3) and so on.
3) Amulets... can a lvl 1 wizard run around with an amulet that can summon a grumpy HIGH end dwarf what can kill almost ALL in the first few screens for you ? Yes and no... but again come take a look, I promise you wont be dissapointed.
4) Subraces. Again Uberness is the keyword.. all is working 100%.
5) Immortaily.. thats a strong word to use but still there IS a Temple in the innermost City of Lost Soul, that has the ability to trade Boss Tokens for immortaily items.. sounds weird ? again, you'll have to try it out.
6) Hack and Slash - primary / Some Events in all shapes and sizes.

- Tornado of Souls
This one of many servers that has not updated to the new 1.67 patch. but WHAT a server.
1) Quests are plenty.... really many quests, but the funny thing is that they ALL makes sence. And they are all connected somehow.
2) many players almost 24/7
3) Dm's visit frequently and freindly inviroment.
4)Hack and slash
P.S. - Server has updated to 1.67, and implemented alot of quests.

I have recently started on this server. But it really IS a great server. TONS of friendly players, that are more than willing to help you get a smooth start.
1) NO-subraces, but you can still get to Godlike stats, using a "prayer" from time to time.
2) Easy start and the quests are very well ballanced !
3) More to come when I have explored a bit more... but swing by and experience the fun
4)Hack and slash with DM events.

-- NWN 1 (+HotU+SoU) is one of the best RPG's out there even now... of course this is not surprising since it is built on the wonderful paper-dice-pen RPG of AD&D...
-- The base game and the expensions were NOT bad at all but IF you really want to have fun you'd better look for the mods named Nordock and Dalakora. These are HUGE ONLINE WORLDS with MANY MANY SERVERS, A LOT OF PLAYERS, AND ALL THAT FOR FREE!!!!!!!
- There is an EVIL and a GOOD side of the world and the 2 sides try to kill each other. You can go on Sieges against the enemy capitol, or just take control over some major stongholds/outposts.
- You can be a bountyhunter and kill famous monsters and bring back their heads.
- You can decide in which deity you believe in.
- You can explore huge catacombs with wonderful treasures.
- Kill many kinds of dragons (Red, Blue,White,Green,Bone,Rust,Shadow)
- Create your own custom armor and weaponry.
- You can even decide the colour of your armor: each armor has 4 major parts and you can use 100 different colour shades to paint each. For female players a special long skirt sould be added to the armors as well so they'd look more feminine.
- You can have a subclass AND a SECOND MAIN class.
- You can fly around in a balloon.
- You can go to the alternative dimension of the mind Flayers (that's where you find the Shadow Dragon as well - the strongest of all dragons)
-- And still many many other features... these worlds are wonderful and as I've said, IT IS ALL FREE... Cooooool...

My favorite class is Fighter where I will eventually turn him/her into a blackguard fast and then just go out and kill everything! It's so nice to be worse than evil.

2) Lost Souls has taken a name change to Lost Souls Reborn. A very cool place with lots of UBERNESS. New host which has some nice and friendly DM's and builders. A server always in progress.

3) Legends of Chance ( 2.0 ) and it's mirror server is THE server out there. It really has it all, even lag this is the best way to describe it. for more and very detailed information check out their mainpage here

I am still finding the options of controls ( read camera angles ) difficult to handle .... it was somewhat ( in my opinion ) better in NwN 1 - Top/down is MY view

Ok, quick question for everybody. Would you suggest NWN 1 : Diamond Edition, or NWN2 with the expansion? I am thinking of getting one or the other. I've played a little of NWN 1. None of it's expansions however.

For NWN 1 the HoU is amazing but the original and especially SoU are boring so maybe NWN 2 and MotB.
