It doesn't make any sence...

All the other towns have okay and almost equal grail structure abilities:

Castle: Colossus (increases the morale of all allied heroes by +2)
Rampart: Spirit Guardian (increases the luck of all allied heroes by +2)
Tower: Skyship (reveals the entire world map and increases the knowledge of defending heroes by +15)
Inferno: Deity of Fire (makes every week the week of imp)
Necropolis: Soul Prison (boosts the necromancy skill of all allied heroes by 20%)
Dungeon: Guardian of Earth (increases the power of defending heroes by +12)
Stronghold: Warlords' Monument (increases the attack skill of defending heroes by +20)
Fortress: Carnivorous Plant (increases the attack and defense of defending heroes by +10 each)

The crazy one:

Conflux: Aurora Borealias (adds all spells in the mage guild)

Creatures:
1) Sprites. An annoyance in large numbers. Unfortunately, they don't survive long enough to be in "large numbers."
2) Airs. Range, great damage, and durable. Just watch out for lightning.
3) Waters. Range, good damage, and durable. Stay away from fires, though.
4) Fires. Quick and reasonably tough, but they can't dish out damage.
5) Earths. Slow, weak, poor damage ... what else needs to be said?
6) Magics. Mini-hydras that can't be blasted by enemy spells. Fun, fun, fun.
7) Phoenixes. Warp speed, but little else is good. Rising from their own ashes only matters in a very close fight.

Special building:
Magic U: No more worries about not getting Earth magic.

Heroes:
Ciele's insane early in the game. No other Conflux hero comes close. Sorry.

Overall: Poor in the mid levels, decent at each end. The real use of this town lies in the extra production (double Firebirds) and the insane Grail structure.

Hear ye , hear ye ....

Ciele is good ...

But I like to play with Brisa. I'm not saying it's the best but... well I like the hero, I do not pick heroes only for their specialities and sec. skills I pick them if I like them. And... think that all your troops move from one side to the other (I do not usually upgrade to magic elements).

Sprites are really good and if you can keep high numbers till the end or the "big battle" (if there's gonna be one) they can be devastating. One way to achive this is to leave them at the main castle after week 3 (usually you don't loose any till then or very few anyway).

Many think it is the best town by far but I don't think so. It's a great town, one of the greatest, but it can be beaten as easy as Dungeon or Castle. Ok, the Aurora Borealis is way off but I do not belive you can dig for the grail that often or even if there is a grail.
Ususally if you find the grail in a game and the map isn't very rich, your oppponent is usuall, well kinda' dead.
But yes, it is way too off. Other than this I don't see other "great advantages". An elementalist starts with a school of magic last time I checked so if you want the earth magic really bad you can start with those heroes

My OPINION

Not much can be said about it. Only two words:
"Unreasonably powerful".

- powerful creatures: especially +4 phoneix per week, cheap and easy to get

- powerful heroes: ultimate spellcasters can be easily made with magic university and all elementalists start with one more attribute point than any other magic heroes

- powerful special buildings: basically no useless special buildings in conflux. Grail is insane as others have said.
Only Sky Ship of tower (if find early in the game) is close to it. Inferno and necro grails may beat it if found early or used combinely.

I have to agree, the Conflux is an extremely unbalanced Town. I have a nice schpeel to go into about that, though. Let us observe...

Originally, the Forge was meant to be the new expansion town. However, fans didn't want sci-fi in Heroes, so it was removed. The Forge, though, was pretty much finished, so the Elemental Conflux, it seems, had to be hastily thrown together. You can sort of see in the Town design - the background looks a little sloppier than the other towns, not as much sharpness in the image...

Now to my opinion...

THE CONFLUX IS THE BEST AND THE GREATEST!!!

Countless times the conflux has saved me from certain defeat in Heroes games. And here are the reasons:-

- Phoenixes are cheap, fast, awesome and have double the growth rate of other level 7's.
- Storm elementals are the best level 2's.
- Ice Elementals are awesome shooters.
- Magic Elementals are fast, deadly, and feared by many.
- Conflux heroes have the best specialties.
- BUT THE NUMERO UNO IS:
- The combination of a full mage guild and the magic university allow heroes to become unstoppable in battles!
- THE AUOURA BOREALIS KICKS ASS! YOU WILL NEED EXPERT TOWN PORTAL TO WIN HARD GAMES IF YOU ARE NOT A PUZZLE CRAZY TACTICIAN!!!

The bad things about the conflux (sorry, no town is faultless...)
- Fire and Earth elementals are very weak units for their level. Only good for garrisons.
- Sprites are deadly in the beginning, but in the end they go down as fast as dominoes.
That's about it isn't it?

Overall the Conflux would be an undisputed 1st in my town rankings. IT IS THE BEST TOWN IN THE UNIVERSE!!!

i agree to you at all. Ýt is not a balanced town but it's a fact that to make buildings and get all the creatures is more expensive than the other towns, except level7 (i mean in a short time)

Yes, I agree with you all. Conflux can really be quite a powerful town overtime. And most of the heroes here are stronger than what a standard Hero should (Ciele for example). Once you've built the grail structure and have an Elementalist with a nice amount of Spell Points and Knowledge, you can pretty much beat everyone else in the game. As said, The Pyre can produce one 7th level creature more than what other 7th level dwelling can. Possibly the only disadvantage in this town is it has the weakest 1st level creatures (Both Pixies and Sprites). But despite all these benefits I still think Castle is a bit stronger that the Conflux though I'll still stick with my, Conflux town anyday. =)

P.S. I don't know whether it is entirely intentional or not but does anyone notice that the grail structure should be rightfully spelled as "Aurora Borealis" instead of the "Aurora Borelias"? Just saying...

I disagree. I'll pick 'em over Familiars or Gnolls any time. At least they have mobility that the other don't have...

Not a big deal here, every Conflux Hero can get Slow and Earth easily. Ciele is my favourite Hero of all time: Pwns in early-midgame and starts with Water, which is By far my favourite Magic School (but not the best, that is Earth... If you have Slow, Ressurrection, Town Portal and Shield, otherwise )

Yeah , on level 10 most of them could. I mean the elementalists only.

Grindan can get it as early as lvl 3.

And sometimes slow spell is not availble early in the game.

A conversation stretching from 2002 to 2008... It happens.

Anyway Conflux is one of the 2 unbalanced towns in heroes, the other is Necro of course, with the legions of skeletons and vamp lords, just think:

CONFLUX:
Ads:
-Great lvl 1's that can last a bit if you know how to play them
-Best lvl 2's in game, also you get the shooters early (lvl 3 as well)
-Probably one of the best lvl 6's in the game (quote: 'Mini-hydras that can't be blasted by magic')
-Incredible lvl7's, you can have over 100 of them in the long run, one I had an army of 4x45 pheonixes, 2x65 magics and 450 storms and I was unstoppable, could kill anyone in one round

Disads:
-"only" average level 4
-worst lvl 5 ever
^^^^-> solution: just leave them at home

NECROPOLIS
Ads:
-Legions of skeletons make you invulnerable... just need them to guard your shooters well or cast Haste on them or something
-Vamp lords, deadly even in low-medium numbers (15-20+)
-Death knights KILL
-Ghost drags: sub par, but aging says it all

Disads:
-Almost completely useless zombies
^^^^-> solution: Again, leave them to "guard" towns

Level 1 Use

Later on in the game, level 1 creatures will be useless, even their special abilities (such as the Familiars' Mana Channel) won't do anything significant in the battlefield. Thus, (if you don't use them) their numbers will increase in their dwelling. A good strategy is to buy them all at maximum quantity as level 1 creatures are almost always the target of enemies. Just have a First Aid tent, a Cure spell, a good commander, and possibly a Ressurect spell. This saves your stronger/higher level units from recieving some damage.
