I hope they make the golems bigger on the battlefield, as they are on the artwork. The 3D-models are dumb small.

Not necessarily. Remember, these articles are just Kaspar's comments, and we all know how informative he was about Haven's Silverbacks. >_>

So, wait, are Cabir Gremlins? It says they "resemble" Gremlins of legend, but, by H5, there are Gremlins, which were stated to be further-experimented-on Goblins. But at the same time, they say they resemble Arkath, Dragon of Fire... which is pretty far removed from mutated Goblinhood.
Just... what are these guys?

So Cabir is officially confirmed to be an in-game retcon then.
All 3 units are designed so much better than their Heroes V counterparts.

Units are looking good. The only thing they need to do is to improve the size of the Golems and Gargoyles and reduce the size of Cabirs and it will be great.

Cabirs just keep getting better, wohoo, I love the fact they hang out with Dwarves. The gargoyles have some lore finally too, although I struggle to get it's role in the faction. Golems are awesome with Shantiri influence ^^
Now if they get rid of the Apprentice on the carpet I could like this faction. And there has to be Rakshashas, or I protest!

On the one hand, I love the idea that Cabir, but on the other it's retcon again. Really Ubi?
Now I think Cabir should be smaller. It would be even more cute .

Elves entered the 20th century high fantasy genre in the wake of works published by Tolkien...I think all Might & Magic fantasy is also based on 20th Century, and not the older myth.
Melkor = If Sauron was the 3rd dark lord, Melkor was the 1st.
Tolkien's wide range of fantasy is enough to cover Heroes of Might & Magic 100 fold...

Actually to me the magic carpet is one of the best addition/improvement done to the faction so far. The flying carpet undoubtedly fits the oriental desert theme, in contrast of the long-bearded ancient Magi from the high cold Tower.

I still think that if they can make levitating textiles they should have made flying pants instead of carpets.

The flying carpet is inherent of oriental fantasy, and Ashan did put the faction in this setting.
While AFAIK flying pants cannot be tied to anything of cultural relevance.
Wizard/Tower was different in previous setting, snow and cold mountain environment, and ArchMagi were perfect there.
In an oriental feeling wizard faction, adapting the units in the way they did with the Apprentice/Disciple is a very good and thoughtful choice imo, as it fits to the culture's folklore and/or literature (One Thousand and One Nights ie).
So thank you for this developers
