Nice to see you posting, fred. Keep in mind that you don't have to post in all forums, but in those where it matters and where people appreciate you.

Good evening Fred,

I downloaded two or three times the pack of objects (with new things in) and I've done this recently again for modding artifact's look. There are many things some of intrest for me and some I don't use. That's normal, its a pack.
I thank you for this and Salamandre for hosting the pack.

I just have a question, when I mod, I need to change artifacts, the .def for each and an other for the look when equipped (it countains bigger images).
I've found all the ones for each artifact but not the one for the look "equipped". With the number of .def are there, I don't find the "recapitulative one" whitch stores the frames for the looking like when equipped.
Maybe its in but I don't find him or maybe you haven't placed it in the pack.
Can you please tell me if its in what its name or if its not in the pack.

Thanks alot and I hope to be able to give something well done to community soon.

Best wishes,
FfuzzyLogik.

i never made those. sorry. you could just take a frame from each def, and make them(even though they'll be smaller than the usual 45x45). i haven't started scripting artifacts yet, so i haven't bothered, myself.

I'd say someone needs to help to make those extra artifact looks also be visible on hero screen (doesn't matter if smaller)

here I experimented with uploading new terrain

and most interesting was combining standard isometric view of game with
optical perspective.
it could be done on isolated location, psychicaly isolated from the rest of map...

Will be great map. The difficulty will be to match creative design with good plot and battles. Looking forward to this

very interesting. i like the use of varying height terrain; but how do you intend to maintain the illusion once a hero is moving over it?

hero wouldn't be allowed to move into the depth of that picture.
he could move just in front of it.
for example, on that part with dwarf fort, he could only visit fort, but couldn't go to the mountains  in perspective direction.

I was referring to the terrain you were testing. Unless maybe you created a specific path for the hero, I don't see how it would look natural. The hero would move from flat terrain to slanted/angled terrain without a slant in the hero. I have similar issues trying to resolve underwater and planeswalker hero movement. The only solution I can think of is a script/add-on that places a transparent air bubble over the hero while they traverse underwater or on a different plane. The solution would undoubtedly have to be solved using vcmi; just like with the underground hero shadow issue. I'm definitely looking forward to a possible solution. Only so much can be done using optical illusion.

as I said - hero wouldn't/couldn't move over slanted/angled terrain.
that part of terrain will always be (in) background.

if you DO mean this image, could you show me the passability for that image, from the map editor?
