Yeah you're rightQuote: The Ultimate World Republic of Mvassland is a colossal, economically powerful nation, renowned for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 8.069 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

No you're just speculating. I am of different opinion though
It is virtually almost impossible in capitalism to not have poor people, provided you have enough population. Simply put "real jobs" aren't available for grabs for everyone... no matter how you put it, wanting to get in number #1, in the end someone is BOUND to take the last place. Logic.
And ironically, most 'rich' people depend on poor people.

Under capitalism, of course some people will be richer than others, but no one has to be poor under the current understanding of the term.
Poverty is relative. A poor person today has things that rich people a hundred years ago wouldn't have dreamed of.

Yeah and we all others are still in WW2 fighting along Hitler, Stalin, Musolini, etc... wait, that's 50 years... 100 is before WW1, not that it would be a worse situation than WW2 but heck

Seriously, though, look at John D. Rockefeller. He was the richest man in the US - but he had no TV, no Internet, no cars, no air travel, no air conditioning, etc.

Nation States 2 is down again... what the hell are they doing there? NS 1 goes so smooth...
btw mvass, when considering these rankings, you're not allowed to take the best from the two Mvass nations, that's not fair. Because you could make them so that what one lacks the other has. So I'll consider only Mvassland from now on
Otherwise I could make the same 'partnership' with Skama (take the best from these two nations on the rankings) and the result would be awesome

You said 100 years ago. (yes I took 50 years to amplify this, cause of WW2 )
Quote: And you have no hope of ever getting any furniture restored.
At least my furniture is rock-solid and super-sturdy and lasts a lot. Not that you couldn't make furniture like that, but it's less profitable, and for a capitalistic-driven country, you choose what's more profitable. That is, it's better to give people a thing half-priced that they will have to replace 4 times in the same period than the thing that costs twice as much lasts (over the same period). It's a 2x profit.

Don't you see that the main page has been changed? It doesn't say anything regarding the public beta anymore (or any kind of beta for that matter)
Oh you must be referring to the image at the top-right? Probably they forgot to modify it

I know it changed, but that's not a reason to say it isn't BETA. I could be wrong though but somehow, I doubt it.

Hmm, my taxes are getting a little high (28% currently)... I don't like this
I have another military Issue lol
I know I'd pick 1 but I'll post it here because one of the options is very funny (blue part)
(btw mvass, I'm sure four seems 'tasty' to you, if you are into some military of course )
After years of costly military build-up, the military now has a state of readiness capable of responding to all threats, both foreign and domestic. There is extensive debate among government officials, the military, and the average citizen over what, if anything, should be done with this powerful asset.
1. "No one even thinks to look at us funny now," says Field Marshall Lionel Mandrake as he taps a swagger stick against his hip. "So think about how they'd act when the military is in proper charge of the country? We'd say jump, and they'd jump, by jingo. Oh, and if you don't agree with me, consider this a coup."
2. "There's no point in having a military this size when our closest adversary has a water pistol strapped to a scooter and calls it an armoured brigade," says noted economist Akira Falopian. "Besides, the military's been getting uppity with all its funding anyway. Slash its budget, sell off its surplus, and put the money into tax relief and... of course... maintaining all those contractors. Sure, they won't make tanks anymore but they can sure make plenty of commemorative plates with all that money!"
3. "The military is too powerful!" cries famous peacenik Elvis Gandhi, smelling of petrol and holding a Zippo in one hand. "All those tanks and bombs threaten us and the environment - we're number one, and someone's gonna try and take us down because of it! The people are tired of eating grass soup so the army can get another stealth ICBM launching flamethrower tank. Cut military funding and rebuild our schools, hospitals, welfare, and environment... or else!" Upon which he flips open the lid of the lighter threateningly.
4. "Everyone's got it all wrong," says Jennifer Jong-Il, leader of the Drathirvlos Libertarian Party. "We need the military now to support our economy but we can't let it get out of control. I say we privatise it and divvy it up between several corporations, and make it self funding... it sounds radical but taxes will drop, the people will be happy, and we get to keep our military strength to show Johnny Foreigner what's what! Everyone wins! As long it's in the corporations' best interests to protect the country though, I suppose..."
