Quote: My theory:
Fifth faction reveal will include three creatures, probably two core and one elite.
Presuming it's the Sanctuary, it'll be:
1: Samebito (sharkman, japanese legend look it up) or however they decide to name this guy.
2: Coral Maiden. (and we will QQ over the loss of our beloved Gorgon: Medusa)
3: Naga Samurai guy.
We'll also get to see them fighting generic necro army in a faction reveal, and Erwan will be enthusiastic and say some cool stuff.
Then we go back to sulking for another few months.
This is pretty much exactly how I see it going down too lol. Although I bet it'll be another 2-weeks before they show us anything from the 5th faction.
My guess is the "big news" they have to show us soon is the equivalent to their "big bomb" from before.. in other words, some artwork for one of the elementals, and a waterfall in some different lighting.

Quote: Point taken. Still, I remember it was said in a Q&A or somewhere else that the fifth faction would contain some familiar creatures
Maybe they are talking about the Medusa which is not Medusa and the four-armed male Naga warrior who looks like the six-armed female Naga from Heroes III/IV. Or maybe the Kirin which is a re-make of the Might & Magic Wyrm.
By the way this thread gets smaller and smaller with every next post... The resident Nidhogg is very efficient in eating its roots, it seems.

@Rhadamanthys, you're new in community (welcome ). We disscused it already. I don't know if you saw this picture, but look the poster behind Michael. This is an official picture.
About the familiar creatures. As Zenofex said Tide Warrior and Coral Maiden are so familiar even though with defferent names

Don't get your hopes high, it was confirmed many times that Naga is the 5th faction (however there's only 2 nagas, and one looks like a medusa, so I will call them the watersnakes faction)
Some Chinese kid good at drawing could have made it for all I know. Back when I was playing Heroes of M&M 2 with some friends we used to draw new factions all the time (though, I have to admit, they looked far worse than these).
You sure it was a Chinese kid? Maybe it was a white guy.

Found some infos on Gamepro.
Quote: You gain more special abilities as you level up. The Paladin gets Martyr as an advanced ability; if one stack of units dies, the survivors receive a bonus. You gain an "ultimate ability" at level 30. The Paladin gets Holy Retribution, which dishes out the total damage your foe has done to your troops to theirs.
So, Divine Vengeance is still in game
Quote: The game features new buildings. The Chamber of Judgment works with the Reputation system, and this is where you get quests for your Path of the Dragon quests.
Quote: You hire heroes in the Hall of Heroes, which replaces the tavern of past Heroes games.

On the buildings:
1. Could the Monolith be for Level ups (like the Trees in H5?)
2. The dwellings are on the adventure map are grouped in Core, Elite and Champion. I presume they will be different in town (ie. all separate 1 to 7 buildings for each "tier").
3. Ressurection Altar - I think this is for the Necromancer unique building
4. Looks like the Stronghold are going to have other "war machines" on them too.....

Thank you for your welcome. I've been reading this forum for quite some time, though the amount of posts are hard to keep up with. However, I found it more convincing than facebook and the forum on the official website.
Also, thanks for that detail. That convinced me. I'm still sad though, since most of the creatures in Sanctuary are a bit...dull if you ask me.

@DoubleDeck My suggestion about the monolith is that: According the description of Budha's statue. Budha is guarded by 7 heads naga from the elementals. We have magic schools based on the elementals. Then I may suppose that the Monolith could be a building which gives Magic defence.

Nelgrith's right- the building you're probably thinking about is the Tomb of Heroes (a necropolis building)

I just read the last things in the Information topic. I'll really miss the Screenshot of the day (it made my day ). I don't think that too much was revealed with the screenshots, it was fun just trying to find something new in them and something important. I'm looking forward to the big reveals this week, I hope it's something about the neutral or upgraded models in the site or buildings.

Nice find Wickey! I find it interesting, that, according to one of the lucky guys, some spells were "quite powerful". Weren't they supposed to be nerfed? A logical explanation would be that high-level spells still kick ***, but how could they get the uber-spells in just a smallish prologue map? Or, could it be, that he was new to the series, therefore unable to effectively gauge the power of the spells? In that case, why would he know about H6 months before release,(Take that(!), lousy PR-managers ) much less be invited to a playtest?
Ah, the doubts... they always cheer me up before a big event.

I think he's more hinting that he realises that until now (H1 through H5) spells were a very powerful way to turn the tide of a fight, but that in H6, it's a lot harder since spells have been nerfed - he said he even lost once on the tutorial and had to reload
