before read a post should take a look at the name of the one who made it.
so, following these steps, if you encounter the balcough name in one of them ,you must be very careful how to interpret the message and, compulsory, must bring a inter-galactic dictionary first.
for instance ,here, "folders" have to be read as "files" , not quite synonims , but you know the author , everything possible. this was a simple test for you because contained only few words, imagine a bigger one , like jinxer's ,written by balcough, it would be the appocalypse.
Fortunatelly, he has no such a patience , of course gained from the h4 playstyle, if you know what i mean
my, advice is not to panic when see such posts, cause they'll be more to come, all you need is 3-4 coffees and a box of cigarettes before figure it out .

i thought he (ball) is no longer interested in heroes, my bad, i apologize . about the dictionary i do believe it's inside us just need to be taken out , and this must be possible if you'll have balcaugh around, and ,of course , a huge amount of patience

P.S. about summoning skill, hope the menu will work on every version (i tested mod only having wow installed) and for the test i suggest to make the skill to be able to provide also level 4 creatures, with the rate increasing as hero advances in levels, to become worthy indeed
e.g. 1 faerie or phoenix (not mantises) as soon as reaches the gm summoning level with a rate of 1/week ,at level 10 1.5/week, level 15 2/week and ending with this already enough i think.

im running GS and the menu thing works fine, its a pain in the ass briging the menu up though. i have to set the game resolution lower then my desktop and turn off full screen no other way seems to work.
on a seperatenote is it possible for you guys to add in the experiance gained in battle per hero. Im not sure how much work it would be but it seems simple enough grabbing the number it adds to you and just displaying that.

Generally, when you manage to get summoning menu once, you may switch to your normal game resolution and press Alt-E for menu, but can not be sure - on different systems menu works differently. Yhe way it is made in 3.3 is just an experiment - we will definitely try to make it better.

That kind of change is what we want to implement very much. This is (just like summoning menu) is part of a bigger problem - we can not SHOW something to the player - some dialog (mapmakers desparately need them) or information (like Exp gained). But we are close to solution.

another thing to look at ... says venom spawns movement is 26, it's really 23 and the naga 3 handed attack doesn't work, still attacks as before, a single target !

titans move is surpose to be 30 right i see only 25 when i play
and hydras only move 24 not 28
cursaders move is 21 not 22
wasports move is 17 not 12
genies move is 23 not 25

Movement on adv.map and on recruitment screen differ. The question has already been discussed in this topic - check page 4 - my post from 29-th of Sept.
Numbers in readme refer to recr.screen.

Even so... imo titans should have 29 movement on adv.map. Order is the only town that cannot move at this speed with lvl4s! Order has a hard enough time getting pathfinding up, they don't need slower troops aswell
(For those who need the image in their mind -> Logic: 1 step for a titan (huge) = xx steps for a halfling (tiny))
Just a thought!

A thought on creature speed in general.
I have often thought that the speeds should be reversed. For example. The lower the level the faster the troop and they get alot slower the higher you get. Give Pike man 35 movement and Angels 20. This would promote using the level 1 and level 2 units. As it is now people refuse to use the lower level units cause they to slow to drag around. ( Still not sure why people think this game has to be about speed) but anyways.......
Just a thought.

i like this thought.. maybe with not so exagerrated(damn spelling) differences you mentioned..
Most Lev4's have still flying abilities and chit, so wont lose their prestige and battling superiority anyway..
..and Game IS about speed, wether like or not. H3 was even more about speed. specially with day1 production + chaining

Yep a good idea. But think that which would really move faster pikeman that walks or Angel who flyes. And which of these (Somebody said this in the GS today) half ling which has very small legs or Titan which has big legs.

An idea would be to make all armies who travel with heroes move at a certain speed (hero speed), since a hero would "lead" the creatures.. better formation -> faster movement on adv map. And if Faster creatures travel with heroes, they would have to "slow" down, to not leave the heroes behind
--> same speed for any army when travelling with heroes.
And insa : wtf are you talking about, dragon golems are not as fast as blackies/angels etc, far from it!

jinxer, i would like to express my opinion ,too.
this is a totally unadequated suggestion.
why?
because it will lead to what you hate the most!
SUPREMACY OF COMBAT HEROES !
most of the time ,everything is sacrificied for movement, and they are the only heroes that don't need such a support as spellcasters. So, as a conclusion they'll walk 2 times more than the others, acumulating experience faster .
will be a totally unbalanced meeting.
I think someone who's in love with this idea , spoke through your mouth, using some old witches and charmed you.
Jinxer, pls understand it's nothing personal , it's only my oppinion .
I have no expectations from the rat, but you?
