Well, the provocation can't be that I quoted your, "It's very silly to say", after all that's an original Elodin. That leaves assuming you might be a congress member and take the floor there.
I'm sorry for that assumption. It was very silly of me to assume this might be in the range of the possible, so my answer to my own last post is: Impossible. Nonsensical.

Unfortunately the "Satanic questions" thread got close while I was out of town and I could not respond to some statments I would have liked to.
Among other things, I object tonegative personal statements against me. And ask that a moderator delete the personal comments about me as negative personal statements about a community member are against the COC.

People have been warned about focusing on the poster instead of the subject at hand. If you can't deal, go the heck to www.fratching.com. Go nuts. This is a game forum, not your own personal sandbox. Religion is an ok topic, go for it, but this hate - whining - snowing - and moaning doesn't belong here. I am assessing penalties for the ones that went personal, and these will not be removed by editing. I'll close threads when needed, and penalize until people get it through there skulls we are not in kindergarten.

Sorry, but Corribus wrote in a gentle form what almost everyone thinks, even mods. Penalizing that post, which was of real quality is penalizing the truth and the reality. And all this because a single person is pissing everybody around till they lose their control.

Actually it was not the comments about Elodin. I edited those. The penalty was for insulting other posters. Was the post very good? Absolutely, even considered bonus worthy..except for the insults (again I edited Elodin's name out, this is not about Elodin). I am applying the CoC across the board, not just to select individuals.

Skrenzythingy came from nowhere and started to throw obvious BS about religion and religious people. What is wrong if Corribus calls a cat a cat? Skrenzy post went too far, it needed someone to stop it. Funnily that even the "anti-theist" people mobilized and warned him of consequences.

While Corribus may have insulted (right lol) some posters who a specific poster, his post did not deserve one. Who has been pissing everybody off for the past few months or so? It certainly was not Corribus. So why is it that Corribus, of all people, one of the better posters on this board, get a penalty? That's one of the worst penalties I may have ever seen.

Then why don't you do your job and insult every single member who has ever insulted another poster? Elodin would be on -10 QP's if that was the case. Corribus post may have insulted someone but there are far more positives than negatives in his post and there should be more thought put into whether to give it a penalty or not. For me, I'd give it a bonus because it represents what so many of us were thinking (but didn't say) and it actually contributes to the forum. This is a special case where he (Corribus) should not have been given a penalty.

You have to stop making excuses. Of course you make mistakes but don't you go using that as an excuse. You have a job, you do it well. You make a mistake, you try to fix it. That's all that needs to be said about that.
As for Elodin's posts, well, I think you've seen a lot of them plus most people complain about them and have linked quite a bit in various pages of this very thread. I don't have the time to actually go out and pick specific posts just to find something penalty worthy (there's a lot mind you). Any post of his which starts to bash atheism can be considered an insult.
I just find it a joke that of all things that get penalised, it's Corribus' post that is the one picked out from all the rest. A complete and utter joke.

When I went to the thread before I only saw Corribus had a penalty. Now I see Doomforge has a bonus? What the hell? Corribus post was just as good, if not better, so why a bonus for one thing and a penalty for the rest? Corribus post borders a penalty and a bonus as it has insults but it's a very very good post. So why not just leave it neutral?

That would be playing favorites. I can't do that as a Moderator. The fact that he is one of the best posters, somebody I respect and admire, and the post was a good one has no bearing on if the CoC was breached or not. None of those things puts a person above the rules.

I'm not saying you have to. I'm saying that the post doesn't deserve one. If it deserves either a QP or Penalty, then doesn't that make it neutral? I think I've seen that happen with The_Gootch once (might be wrong) and in the end, it got a bonus. Why is this case any different? And how is that playing favourites?

If the other moderators feel I was in error, it is in their rights to reverse the decisions. I won't hold it against them. Corribus probably has a ton of earned (but not given) QP's laying around. I know I am going to get a lot of flack for it, I've made my peace with that.
