Not In The Manual:

The distance a hero travels depends on the creature's speed and artifacts at the beginning of the day, not on changes after the day starts.


(Xarfax, do you want stuff that's in the readme file or correcting errors in the manual?)

Not In The Manual:

If hero is attacked when standing inside a mine (gold, crystal, abandoned-trogs) then the battle terrain will be subterranean.

If you cast clone and there is no space
to put the clone stack, they will not appear
and the original cloned stack will
disappear after the fight

And as for me - I've recently found something interesting about the pathfinding. (Not sure if it is a bug in that specific game or something general.)
I had a hero with 7 orcs and 1 gnoll on the swamp at the end of the turn. At the beginning of the new turn he could move a certain number of steps. I've traded orcs to another hero (the other hero did the trading). The movement points remained the same, even though right now he only had 1 gnoll - native to the swamp! I thought it was just a graphics bug and that I'll be able to move further, but he did finish his move on exactly the same spot!
Conclusion? Not exactly sure. Sometimes the native pathfinding bonus doesn't work

Balistas have endless shots.

Marksmen and Grandelves can shoot twice in a round, even if they only have 1 shot left at the start of that round.

Ammocart works in utopias.

Armor of the dead does NOT cast disrupting ray.

The badge of courage also makes your troops immune to spells such as blind, hypnotize and sorrow.

Faerie Dragons cast with spellpower 5 on advanced level.

Townportal doesn´t work while hero is in a boat, while Dimension Door does.

Level 3-5 spells can be casted without having wisdom as secondary skill.

Artefacts seers are looking for, are unique in that current game.

You can get descriptions of all artifacts (including the components needed to make combo artifacts) by right clicking them in the map editor.

There are four categories for artifacts plus combo artifacts: (from lowest to highest) treasure, minor, major, relic.

Distance traveled by boat is 15 grids and is not affected by creature speed.

Each lighthouse adds +5 grids to boat travel, but doesn't work until the next day after being flagged.

Not In The Manual:

~ Undead are never affected by mind-altering spells, not even if Orb of Vulnerability is present in battle.

~ Efreet Sultan fire shield even works against Black Dragons.

~ Computer opponents only lose a single unit, from its weakest stack, for each use of the whirlpool.

~ Only a single nomad must be present in your army (mixed or alone) to prevent movement penalty dessert terrain. This is not in the manual and unlike the normal requirement for a Hero's entire army to match the terrain to prevent the terrain movement penalty. (i.e. all Tower for snow/all Fortress for swamp/all Stronghold for rough)

~ (uber artifact)Titan's Thunder special lightning spell can only be enhanced by an Orb of Firmament and/or Sorcery secondary skill. Nothing else enhances the spell. The maximum possible lightning damage is 1035.

~ Magic Plains terrain affects all spells; creature spells too such as each elemental protection(air/earth/water/fire) from the elemental, Black Knights, Mummies, Master Genies, Ogre magi, Faerie Dragons, and Dragon Flies' Weakness. It causes all spells to be cast at expert level from heroes and units except for one: Dragon Fly Dispel will only affect a single target.

~ Familiars' special ability 'magic channel' can be added to increase a Hero's spellpoints above maximum in battle.

As far as i know you cant use battlespells from scrols if you dont have a spellbook but you can use nonebattlespells. At least view air and earth.

Scorpicore's paralyze behaves like a lvl 4 spell
Ghost's Dragon aging attack behaves like a lvl 5 spell
The fact that cerberi have no enemy retal is not mentioned

If a player that has pendant of negativity casts chain lightning or lightning on a unit with magic mirror, and the magic mirror takes effect, the unit targeted by the magic mirror will resist the spell

Actually, Fire Spirit didn't say those creatures were undead... because they are not! You cannot "animate dead" Golems, for example. They are simply not alive.

 Gargoyles and cloned creatures can be affected by morale, although they are not alive.
