If a hut is placed on a map necro and leadership are desabled by default. A default hut will never give these skills. To enable these skills for a hut it needs to be customized in the map editor. I have no idea if it can be done for random maps.

Neither the Medusa Queen's or Greater Basilisk's stone gazes work on Trogs, although the MG's death stare does.

obvious thing, i suppose many people know it :

on random maps in Witch hut never appear following skills: Armorer, Artillery, Earth, FirstAid, Intelligence, Learning, Navigation, Necro, Offence, Resistence, Scholar, Sorcery, Tactics, Water

Can be found and may be useful: Archery, Logistics, Wisdom, Air.

SAG is right. Just open the editor, place a witch hut and then check properties. There u can see what possible skills are marked.

Was explained wrong from my side.
Create a random map through your game.
When done, go to your "random_maps" folder and look for that map. If u doubleclick the map now, it opens with the editor. Now look for a witch hut. Check the properties then....

Witch hut on random maps has: Leadership, luck, diplomacy, logistics, air magic, misticism, wisdom, fire magic, ballistics, pathfinding, archery, eagle eye, scouting and estates.

You can't define the properties of any obstacles in RMG.txt files. At least not to my knowledge.

Think about the logic: A sacred phoenix can be reborn once with 100% certainty. A clone dies but does not get reborn. This makes no sense as other cloned spellcasters can cast spells too (Cloned pit lord can ressurect demons) In fact, this ability is totally negated by the game.

Also, I was fighting the AI and I had an arch devil and a catapult with expert ballistics. The enemy was a fortress with one skeleton. I decided to wait until the next turn so I could toy with it. I fired at the gate and it died, but the after match showed no defeated opponents. It's not in the manual, and does not make sense. But it was hilarious.

clones do not die, they disappear. Phoenix's special is to re-birth from corpse. No corpse = no rebirth, it's simple.

regarding my previous post. i provided complete list of skills that never appear and incomplete list were i mentioned only useful skills from my perspective...of course sometimes Fire magic or Pathfinding is useful, but not often. Complete list was posted by Kallen.

on fixed maps default setting is "no necro/leadership" in Witch Hut, however it can be changed by mapmaker. On random maps it's impossible to change Witch hut properties by txt settings (neither rmg.txt nor any other). Only possible way is to change it in WOG-based add-on.

Fire Magic with: Blind, Curse, Berserk, Frenzy and Armageddon spells is very powerfull IMHO.

Efreet Sultans Fire Shield will STILL retaliate against creatures with spell immunity like Black Dragons and Magic Elementals.

But, the Fire Shield will NOT retaliate against creatures with FIRE Spell immunity only, like Phoenixes, Energy Elems, and Efreets themselves.

Fire shield is a spell, so u can't cast it ON Black dragons. Its effect however is NOT a spell, so black dragons can get effected.
The effect of a fire shield is fire damage, Phoenixes and Sultans are completely immun to fire, so they don't get effected at all.
