Is it just me or, right clicking on fire shields made by soverign in final battle would crash the game (with patch 1.2)?

Happens to me too.
I'd guess it has something to do with the fact that the fireshield is basically just one single huge wall-segment placed where the main attack tower would be. During castle sieges you can usually right-click on the main tower to pop up a window that shows the damage and HP of the main tower and the wall towers.
So perhaps Ubisoft got lazy(again ) and just replaced the main tower with the flame wall, but forgot to remove the right-click function and/or the info that should show when you right-click it.

It's already been mentioned, but Zehir's battles against both Biara and Sovereign are ridiculously easy thanks to the Banish spell, since almost every enemy creature are summoned ones. Hell, it does more "damage" than a couple of Empowered Armageddons combined!

The first part of the battle against Sovereign also becomes a breeze for the heroes that has the Expert War Machines skill. Just place your units out and the catapult simply destroys the wall on the first turn

Nope. The same ending will show, regardless of difficulty...I haven't completed the campaign on any higher than Normal difficulty, but there's only 1 ending movie(outro.ogg) in the video-directory along with the intro movie(intro.ogg) and the two logo movies(logo-nival.ogg and logo-ubi6.ogg).

The ending wasn't quite what I expected, judging from the final cutscene in the last mission. Has Ubisoft mentioned anything about the original story continuing in the expansion?

To kill Nicolai, you need the Phoenixes. Go and find the Seer, then you gotta get 4 artifacts and then give it to him and then kill Nicolai. For Campaign 6, Mission 5, after defeating that Soveign, there's this scene where Zehir takes everyone to the Silver Cities and it ends. Is that all? Cos after that I'm still in the game and it looks like I haven't completed my quests when I have clearly done so. Anyone got the same problem

Academy Mission 2 - The Liberation

Academy Mission 2 - The Liberation
Any tricks to capturing Al Safir?  The rest of the map was easy but going to take that city has been difficult because of the large number of titams and archmages stationed there.  I have Zehir with expert destructive magic, expert summoning, expert enlightenment and basic sorcery.  I can't raise dead or phantom force fast enough enough to whittle down the forces holding the city.

You should have more Towns than your enemy at that point. As such, you are out-producing him. Since you cannot convert the Necropoli that you've captured back to the Academy towns that they used to be, you should build up two armies. One Undead one and an Academy one. Considering the amount of Necropoli you have, I guess your Undead army will grow largest in short time. Use it to defeat the defenders of Al Safir. Or at least smash a (huge) dent into the defenders of that town.

You can even build up a sacrificial Hero to make that first suicide attack, there is more (much more) experience on the map in total than Zehir would ever be able to use before he reaches his max for the map.

That worked.  I built up a secondary hero - wizard Nathir - to level 18.  Gave him an army of hundreds of low level units, both Necromancy and Academy.  While the enemy whittled my numbers down I blasted away with fireball.  Killed 156 archmages, 21 Titans before losing hero.  Zehir then had an easy time.

One more question - I finished the mission but still don't have summon phoenix.  Where do I get that spell?  Al Safir was the only academy castle I could build up to level 5, do I need one more level 5 in later missions as I got arcane armor which is the other level 5 spell? I ask because I see other posts saying they got summon phoenix in mission 1.  How did they get that?

There is only one ending.

I guess they needed a cliffhanger for their expansion .

Regarding the Summon Phoenix spell: you get random spells in your Mage Guild(s), so it's a matter of chance and luck . Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not.

It's hard to use puppet master on Isabel's paladins, she keeps cleansing it. I managed to outwait
her with Godric, then cast puppet master, but on initiative bar it was like: Godric,
Ballista, Paladins, Isabel. But it was enough, paladins killed 46 archangels, at
the same time running close enough to my marksmen, so the marksmen could make precise shot.
1k marksmen killed 184 paladins in one shot. Lucky one, though .

And that was the way I passed campaign the first time. Picture above is the result
of experiment: I was interested in whether she could be outproduced.

She can be ;-)

I got to her around middle of month 2, losing badly, so I loaded and starting producing archangels, zealots and marksmans in all 4 human towns. Tried to fight her after about a month, lost almost as badly. Started producing crusaders, tried to fight her again after a month, still lost. Waited another 2 months and got a week of the angel (ha!), went to fight her with 250 archangels, 200 crusaders, 600 zealots, 1600 marksmen. She had 180 archangels, 450 crusaders, 2000 squires, 1200 marksmen, and otherwise insignificant units like 400 griffins.

It was one hell of a battle, I lost the first time. Findan (level 30 or so) had expert luck and expert light magic, it was a long and hard battle. Experience taught me to kill her angels first, with such large numbers they can resurrect just about anything. I made heavy use of mass haste, mass divine strength, and later teleportation (to keep my shooting units away from the crusaders) and resurrection (to revive shooting units). By far the hardest to kill were the crusaders, all my crusaders and angels were lost in the process, and if it wasn't for Fidan's expert luck the battle would have been lost.

In the end, it was 500 of my zealots against 1000 of his squires. With all my war machines (including ballista) destroyed, and my zealot's ammo exhausted, I had to walk them into the castle with the arrow towers constantly shooting them. The squires hit them, and died in the retalitation strike.

I got some ridiculous amount of experience, that gave Findan 2 level ups even at his high level.

Sounds like a bug, yeah.

Try replaying one of the following missions and check his level:
Haven mission 5
Necropolis mission 5
Academy mission 3

If he's lvl 1 at the final Haven mission, then complete it again, check the last Necropolis mission if his level carries over and rescue him again at the third Academy mission.

Another option would be to restart the whole campaign.

hire the demons, fight only those monsters that stand directly on your way, attack necro town in week 1 and and easily beat the mission. It is advisable to build your magic guild to level 5 to learn conjure phoenix spell, it will make the campaign a LOT easier.

how does anyone beat the mission4: Alliance??

Isabel is just too mad: 900 squires, 200 gryffins, 500 archers, 40 arc angels and 200 paladins!!

Lol thats nothing. I have to fight against 700 archers 250 imp. griffins, 65 archangel, 80 inquisitors, 1k squires (dont know the exact number) AND 560 Paladins OMFG now thats ridiculous ! Im in month 4 week 2 or 4. I attacked her two weeks ago (she only had 460 paladins) but I hadnt a big enough army (only 60 paladins). In 2 weeks she got 100 paladins extra the other units didnt increase that much. I recruited everything I got (now im totally broke ^^) and managed to get "only" 160 paladins, 85 archangel, 800 archers, 300 im. griffins and 130 or 150 inquisitor. First fight against her was a massacre, my angels got one-hit killed by her paladins, 25k damage with luck lol Defense, attack, luck, leadership, everything a might heroe need she has (thanks to me ^^). Next time I fight her I will use phantom army all the time, that should make it (phoenix and resurrection is pretty useless, I can resurrect 1100 hp lol ).

I had a strange bug with findan. In mission 3 he was lvl 31 (like he should be), but now he is only lvl 25 But he kept his skills and his stats are still way better than anyone else. But I will use Zehir, lvl 27 and light and summon magic, Findan only has destructive magic.

Edit: I managed it, barely.

I started with 300 imp griffins, 170 paladins, 222 inquisitors, 800 archers 55 archmages, 82 archangels and 200 squires.
lol lost all but 480 archers and 50 archmages. Casualties you see above +222 inquisitors. Phantom Army saved the day, these paladins just onehit-killed anything I threw at em ^^

Mine was similar, but its interesting to note, if you calculate and keep getting troops you will eventually out do isabel with her 1 castle.

I intially faced 1k squires, 60 archangels, 200+ inquisitors, 300+ imperial griffins, 400+ paladins, die to them quite horrendously.
But I collected artifacts from the caravan to boost my stats and collected and upraded troops for 2 months...from all the haven towns.
Made a mistake but it was ok, in the end this was the match up.
Isabel, arch angels=100+, paladins=600+, inquisitors=400+, imperial griffins=500+ squires=3k, marksmen=13
Me, arch angels=200+, paladins=390+, inquisitors=400+, imperial griffins=500+, marksmen=5k, skeleton archers=3k, ancient treants=20

Used the treants to take one shot from the paladins. Angels were shielded by lotsa other creatures and the paladins. just could not get to my markmens...fast enough, in the end i shot their squires that came close enough for markmens to kill 1400+ in 1 shot...paladins also had the same fate...there was 1 shot where i got about 200+ of them.

The palandins are a problem, when they took out my paladins they did 69K of damage...its incredible...

Once these 2 big groups were dead, i kept using phantom forces and resurrection to get back all my forces...until losses were in the double digits, even my initial death of 1300 markmen from the inquisitors were resurrected.

Whole thing was done in 7 months game time.

Zehir got his 300,000 of experience and still did not get his arcane omnicience...argh!!!

I don't know in german, I am hungarian, anbd I only know in hungarian and a little english... Pleause show the picture with english sublites or hungarian sublites...

Mission 3 Help!

I cannot seem to beat the Academy Mission 3. I Have tried both getting Godric first and then attacking the towns and just teleporting through the gate and attacking the first town on turn 3 or 4. Either way I get my butt kicked. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sparticus311, I have exactly the same problem when i was there on patch 1.4, and i can understand exactly how you feel too.  It is a bug which i have reported to Ubisoft.  What i did was simply down-patch to v1.3 and restart the last mission (it should not take you long to reach Biara's Citadel again), and you're off to a proper closure and into HoF campaigns.  The story is getting more & more involved now

Btw when i say down-patch, i meant uninstall heroes5 and re-install again, then patch just to v1.3.  Hope this helps
