I tried to make the largest map possible with 6 players, 3v3.

Then it probably crashed because of the insane size. My system isn't that up to date, but it's not a POS either, and I can't get something that big made. Not even close (Not to mention, the lag behind that large of a map is gargantuan.)

Ok, sorry for a dumb question or if it was replied before.
I have TOTE, and after I create a map in random map generator, I cannot see it from the game.
It is on the drive in the maps folder, I can open it in the map editor but I cannot see if from the game.
Am I doing something wrong?

Tribes of the East uses a completely different root folder for the game, not to mention it doesn't go into the map folders.
It'd be in the data directory, so go into the random map generator (1.5 version), and change the directory to this-
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\data
(replace the 'C:\Program Files' part for where your HoMMV Tribes of the East folder is located).
After you've done that, create your map, go into the game, start a custom map and make sure both boxes for showing the multiple different maps are selected, and then choose from there.

Thanks for the info. Worked.

Since this RMG has not been updated for a long time, does it place ToE-objects, like the Memory Mentor, on generated maps?

Occasionally you'll see something, like a Re-Upgrade building for alternate upgrades or in a group of creatures you might see an alternate upgraded creature, but mostly...no. Not really.

I made a custom TotE template for large and very large random maps. It is for 1-4 human players, no underground. It features 4 starting zones with towns and a central zone full of treasures and stuff.
Copy into UserMODS folder and you will find it as S3-6P1-4Z5Custom in the list of templates while creating a random map.

I sent Tapani an email a few days ago because I was planning on writing another RMG for ToE myself. He hasn't played HeroesV for a long time and it is unlikely that he'll return to it in the near future.
Due to limited free time I scrapped my plans for writing a RMG and started to work on a template editor for the Nival's RMG which essentially should allow even more customization.

This is good idea too, but please make a option like omfg or stronger. Thank you for the effort.

The template editor has been released:

I know that someone on the ubisoft forums is working on a new RMG but probably some month will pass before it is released.

This is really good tool, but i find something. There is no way to make strong monsters inside the zones only between them. Inside data.pak /rmg/CustomArmyTemplates ...maybe from here we can control them?! i don't known

I believe you can control them from: RMG/Params/Default. Although settings in this file will apply to all random maps and changes need to be installed as a mod.

Looks like a good idea for a new version of my template editor.
Unfortunately it has to wait until my diploma thesis is finished.

Yes, I think many people will like the changes that can be done in that file, I saw you can also change the light map (day/dawn/night) or the colors of the underground crystals (provided that you know the right color data). But I wonder if it is possible to let the program install/uninstall a .h5u file in the usermod folder that makes the changes?

As far as I know the map editor doesn't load mods from "UserMODs" but those in "data".
