Riiight.  When you first commented about the Fortress I assumed you knew what you were talking about.  You've proven otherwise with this little gem.

Fortress is a terrific matchup against Sylvan or anyone for that matter.  High defense and Defensive Formation will help to blunt the first strike capabilities of other towns.  Rune of Resurrection, which needs to be nerfed with some kind of similar penalty to the creature stack the spell has, makes it too easy for Fortress to win any war of attrition.  

Helmar with a round 1 Mass Endurance is just patently unfair.  Artifacts that reduce opponents luck is I think more crucial for them than even +initiative arts.  Prevent or minimize the chance for Lucky strikes and they will just not die.

Dwarven Luck means it's gg for Dark.  Dungeon destruction got you down?  Lookit this, Elemental Immunity.  Don't like what you got?  Refresh Rune!

If, in the off chance I get Summoning Magic offered early, it's gonna be all about Empathy/Runic Armor if I'm going against a might hero.  If it's a magic hero I'll aim for distract.
         
With a propensity for Light Magic, you have a high chance of Teleport.  With the freaking Bear Paw strikes the Fortress has the unique ability to set up either chain shots for the Warlords or make openings in your lines that will allow battleraged ShieldGuards or Berserkers to hit some 2-4 targets with a single attack.

I can't think of a town that can early creep Druids and Magi the way they can either.  Paw Striking bears with a berserker follow up means for extraordinary pwnage of these creatures.

If you get rune of charge. No arguing though, these guys are good.

Edit: As usual it's about how the power of runes scale with army strength. A fixed 40% can be monstrous while if it had a modifier like resurrection we'd all be better off.

Thanks Elvin. Thanks Gootch. I was indeed looking for sharing, rather than anything, from exp players like you. Should try those the next time I play Fortress.

@Warlore: Isn't that suppose the idea? So no gender favoritism?

i think angels should look a hot women or beautiful women,otherwise there is no reason say "she is beautiful as angel" or "she is angel"

Oh please, I can't STAND female angels xD

I think young handsome males are a great depiction of angels, and especially in H5 I feel like they made the perfect sort of angel. White haired, really fits them, along with handsome features.

Screw babes, these things are hot!

(Besides, female Angels I would sooner depict as healers and curers rather than warriors)

Let how angels look like remain a mystery, so we could get ontopic ...

Question: Why is Ingvar somehow seems overrated in many of the discussions here? Who'd be better between him and Vayshan, say given the same level of 10 and same number of troops (Shieldguards vs Assassins only)? (I know this is supposed to be in "Dungeon vs Fortress" thread; it's just that sdfx's "ban Ingvar" is already here.)

Ingvar boosts already extremaly defesive hard-to-take-off creature even with additional HP... besides, if u want compare Ing. and Vayshan, consider growth rate, not same stack numbers.

I see. Then we're actually comparing Ingvar's overall strength as a Fortress hero (with growth & rune adv). I mean it's a different issue compare to Deleb, she already has a special skill regardless her racial. As to the additional HP, yes, for every 5 lvls, which translated to +10 levels for his Shieldguards' HP to matchup the Assassins'.

ingvar sems to be a good hero to me.
with the extra health shieldguards is nearly unstoppable.

+ that if you have guard post in your town. you will gett like 500 extra shieldguards. with all the bonuses (halleluliah).
