He survived. He is in Might and Magic IX, which is also set in Axeoth, on a different continent. He will appear in Legends of the Ancients as well. And the aging isn't necessary, since he's about 23-25 by the time of Heroes IV. The Nicolai from Heroes V is a totally different character with no connection.

Axeoth and Ashan?
Guys, this Homm5. Don't put Axeoth in here! Stick to Ashan. I mean, you can put some guys that somehow got to Ashan from Axeoth, but don't make a separate camp for this. That makes it sort of dumb. Instead, why don't you add better stuff to Homm5 like a storyline that focuses on the bad guys instead of the good guys.

1. Axeoth has a far better storyline than Ashan.
2. Putting Ashan in Axeoth is sort of dumb and vice versa.
3. Ghosts of the Past is dead, so the whole thing's irrelevant anyway.

You can do whatever you like with it as far as I'm concerned, but I wasn't the project leader. Also I'm far too busy on other stuff to be able to help. But it's already been resurrected twice and amounted to basically nothing. Third time's the charm?

Oh come on. You can't market mods like that, it's illegal, and even so I doubt anyone's still willing to work on GotP. It went nowhere and died. Gotta step over it and move on.
