As you can appreciate, there's no point in sitting around and twiddling our thumbs while we wait for Tribes of the East.  What a waste of time that would be.  Best to continue working on the mod and adapt it for TotE when it comes out.  Whatever alternate upgrades the Haven is going to have will be replaced with a golden-themed version, so the Sanctum isn't redundant.

@Serpent2: I was thinking of these names for the Alt Upgrades (The Gold set) I'll leave the Stats to you as I'm not goot at that:

Lv1: Militiaman
Lv2: Longbowman
Lv3: Swordsman
Lv4: Honorable Griffin (Fits Noble Griffin and Sacred Griffin)
Lv5: Fanatic
Lv6: Husser
Lv7: Shining Seraph

The other creatures (Unupgrades, upgrades we have now and the Infidels) remain the same as I can create new Creatures remember?

@Cepheus: All right I'll make sure they won't apear in Axeoth

@okrane: Cepheus is right I posted my version of the Gold set in this post.

I did a little experiment trying to give the Demon Sovereign movement and Strike Animations and guess what? It WORKED Vampire and Giovanni's animations. Strike works fine, but he drops his sword while moving lol, but the Animationsfit they don't look wierd.

I'd like to discuss the heroes we're going to include in the mod.


NECROPOLIS

For the Necropolis, we have five heroes planned:  Sandro, Clavius, Galthran, Vokial and Ayden.  This is a pretty good, nostalgic lineup so far, with characters throughout the series from Heroes I to Heroes IV.

However, all of them are male.  The Necropolis needs female heroes just as much as it needs male ones.  Here's my proposal:



My top preference would be to add Luna into the lineup.  She has been around since the very beginning of the series, and is an interesting character due to her progression throughout the games.  In Heroes I and II, she was a Sorceress, an Elementalist in Heroes III, and finally a vampire Necromancer in Heroes IV.  She would not be hard to texture if we base her on Beatrice's model, and it wouldn't be hard to make her a new portrait.



I also think Vidomina would be a good hero to include.  She too is an interesting character, having been a main character in Heroes III (none other than Sandro's apprentice) and is a Genie, which makes her unconventional and unique.  Her special ability could be easily improvised and we could make her out of the Shadow Matriarch model.



Lastly, I personally would like to see Charna make a reappearance.  Mainly because she looks exceedingly cool in Heroes IV.

Not bad ideas, but Necro allready has too much Heroes and Beatrice has no movenment Animations

By the way I´m inserting Heroes right now how far are you with your Textures? I mean for Sandro, Galthran and Vokial (If you´re having trouble testing the ones of Sandro just send them and I will test them )

Galthran is done, Vokial is still in progress.  Beatrice doesn't have movement animations but I know a way to improvise (and I have seen this work in-game, so I know it's possible).  I tried Sandro but I don't think I really did him justice, so I'll remake him when I get the chance.  There's no such thing as too many heroes - why shouldn't every faction have at least eight old heroes included?

That would be a great idea, well i think so.
Exemple: (just some heroes don't want to find 8 heroes from every faction) Gunnar, Uland, Yog, Crag Hack, Gem, Astral, Xarfax, Sylvia

All Heroes are set (Andrei is a bit buggy now, he won't shoot he will ony use the strike animation I need some help) anyway I don't really care yet as he's a campaign character so if everyhting goes right the Beta will be released tomorrow

uurgh, of course is my pc's battery dead so i can't try gotp beta(i'm writing on my fathers pc)and i could install homm5 here, but the cd was inside the pc when i sent it to be fixed

Yeah indeed. it brings forth the brutality better than blue, white. take that Archer for example. But the swordsman looks...blushed Did he trip and fall cause of his armored legs again?

Yeah why not make Kronos hero? He deserve that

@Ted: Well I'm still waiting for TotE (Full version) wich I hope I'll get really soon.

@Orfinn: I'm using another Footman icon without the blushes

@Daystar and the others: Wow I feel honoured having me as a Hero! I wonder how the portrait will look in the end. (By the way did you know my Avatar is actually a Halloween mask? )

i love Haloween, i get to eat candy no one else likes

i installed GotP, i was wonderful, i enjoyed every minute of it, until i fought a cyrpt and i had to fight 10 spectral dragons (with incorpreal) and my best unit was a griffen, an i forgot to save

note: changeing spells name helps and can we add a skill wheel (theres a mod floating around somewhere) thanks

@Kronos: hey, hows angelic might coming along?

Hmm..... I know what's causing the Crypt problem, to add Incorporeality to a Spectral Dragon CREATURE_MANES is now the Spectral Dragon wich caused more bugs than I was awere of (I didn't do it that problem was in the Alpha too) I hope I can fix it. And by the way Angelic Might has been revived I even corrected something in the Fire King wich I couldn't fix back then because I was still learning how to make MODs like that now after adding more Heroes. The problem was I never got him to shoot a Fireball when he attacked so now it works.

Anyway I just realised I forgot to change the Renegade Bio's so I'll rerelease the Beta as 0.51 when I corrected the newly caused bugs.

Is adding spells possible?  I'm just thinking of something called "Blue Dawn" which would be like Armegedon, only dealing water and Air damage.

Adding Spells wel I'll explain: A damaging spell can be added I found Data for that in the pak files, but a different kind of Spell (Such as Raise Dead) is not possible that's hard coded your idea is plausible as it deals damage and I can set the target to the entire battlefield. An effect Icon, name and desc can easily be added, so any spell ideas?

i asked Elite_Kill a while back, he said he knew how to add spells too, maybe he made a few

@kronos: try alc, he has a list of spells that would be great for H5

EDIT

found a bug, when you play Necro, and buy the vampires house, instead of vampires to get cerberus(?), on the bright side, i use the "turn in necro" building and got 16 spectral dragons
