I'm a tad confused with the new names and original names of some units here, could you make a table or something of all the Sanctum units? Like this one, only with the ones we will be adding.
Peasant -> Conscript / Enforcer
Archer -> Marksman / Crossbowman
Footman -> Squire / Vindicator
Griffin -> Imperial Griffin / Battle Griffin
Priest -> Inquisitor / Zealot
Cavalier -> Paladin / Champion
Angel -> Archangel / Fallen Angel
Oh, and I've notified the people at Celestial Heavens of the project's revival.

Peasant -> Enforcer
Archer -> Crossbowman
Footman -> Vindicator
Noble Griffin (Previously Griffin) -> Sacred Griffen (Previously Battle Griffin)
Priest -> Zealot
Cavalier -> Crusader (Previously Champion)
Seraph (Previously Angel) -> Blood Seraph (Previously Fallen Angel)
The original Upgrades are now Townless and will play an important part in the Campaigns Does this clear everything up? Can you write new Bio's for all of them as they no longer fit, because they still have things in their bio that mention Elrath and the Holy Griffin Empire. And the Imperial Griffin needs a new name.

It does clear things up, thanks. And I will write new bios with no connection to Elrath or Ashan, just descriptions of the creature itself, to be kind to mapmakers who set their maps in different worlds (strange to read about the Holy Griffin Empire in a Lord of the Rings scenario, for instance).
I can't see anything wrong with the original Renegade names - Battle Griffin, Champion, Angel and Fallen Angel. They sound very fitting IMHO, why the changes?

@Cepheus: Hmmm... I like the name changes of the Renegades, but the Bio's of the old upgrades (Inquisitor, Marksman etc.) wich are named Infidels by the Sanctrum, could contain something like they were banished from their town treated like scum and the Inquisitor can have something like the last Priests of Eltath that's stuff I'd like to see.
@Ted: What you said about the Seraph thing is right in the GotP Alpha the Angel was still named Angel and the Fallen Angel was named Seraph I decided to change that as Angel sounds too holy. And changing a name is easy, but thinking up names is harder.
To clear things up we will name the Unupgrades just unupgrades the upgrades Renegades and the original Infidels. Just to prevent confusion.

I see your point but I stand by the idea of Dark Angel -> Fallen Angel... I think it sounds cooler than Seraph. And what's with Blood Seraph, it sounds like some sort of biblical vampire. Oh and Seraph is an even holier name than Angel, it's just like Archangel, only a little lower in rank.
While we're changing towns around, would anyone be interested in making the Fortress town more bestial by kicking out a Dwarf or two and adding some real creatures? I was thinking of this lineup:
Wolf -> Dire Wolf
Spearwielder -> Skirmisher
Bear Rider -> Black Bear Rider
Snow Ape -> Yeti
Priest -> Rune Patriarch
Thane -> Warlord
Fire Dragon -> Magma Dragon
I added Wolves and Snow Apes, amounting to three (and a half?) dwarf units, and more creatures in their ranks. They'd be really easy to change, and I could use the leftover creature models for new Fortress heroes. Like it? Hate it?

Well, first of all it's great that I am in the team actually and i am very very exited about that - I mean having my nickname in that little list in the boss post means somthing to me so thnx for recomending me, Cronos and I'll do my best not to dissapoint you. It's time for me to take my part of the project. First I am reposting my history but modified- a GotP+ToK version:
History of Ashan
The Mythic Age:
. The creation everything starts when from the very self of the lack of existence known as the void appeared the cosmic egg which gave birth to the twin dragon gods of balance (Asha) and Chaos (Urgash). The hatching of the cosmic egg however also unleashed the endless space that was compressed within and created the universe in which the twin dragons were the only thing to exist by the hour.
. The dragon of balance creates the planet known as Ashan which is the only planet in the universe with life on it. She also lays three eggs of which the six elemental dragons are born (a couple of twins from each egg) . They are:
Elrath the dragon of light who creates the angels.
Malassa the mother of darkness who gives birth to the faceless.
Sylanna the dragon of earth who gives birth to the green dragons.
Sylath the dragon of air who creates the azure dragons.
Shalassa the dragon of water who gives birth to the serpents.
Arkath the dragon of fire who creates the magma dragons.
Asha also creates the light, darkness, water, fire, earth and air elementals and the elder races humans, elves and dwarves so that they would serve her children and their children as well.
. The dragon of chaos creates a race to worship and serve him so that he could oppose Asha and her children the demons.
. The mythic age ends with an all-out war between the primordial twins that is fought on all levels of reality.
At its end the dragon of chaos is vanquished but not destroyed. He is jailed in the planets fiery core and his offsprings are cast out of the material world. The dragon of balance who is weakened by the war buries herself within one of the moons to rest and heal (the world of Ashan has 3 moons).
The Origins:
. Creation of early civilizations some of the elves inhabit the woods and worship the dragon of earth the others inhabit the sea shores and worship the dragon of water. Humans worship the dragon of air and dwarves the dragon of fire.
. Elder Wars the angels launch a crusade on
The faceless. The destruction is terrible and the
Elder races suffer terribly. Early civilization
And kingdoms are destroyed. The dwarves flee
East and build a subterranean realm. The elves
Who worship the dragon of water are shifted
By her power into an amphibian race and flea
Underwater they are the naga. The naga and
The dwarves are forgotten by the other races.
The primordial dragons become myths and are
Forgotten only the elemental dragons are
Worshiped. The demons benefit from the general
Confusion to establish a foothold in the world.
Lurking in uninhabited places they slowly gather
Their strength.
The modern age (years of the seventh dragon:
0ysd: The Revelation of the seventh dragon:
Sar-Elam the first wizard reaches the conscience of the Dragon of Order who teaches him on the nature of matter and spirit and shows him the higher path of power. Enlightened by his new understanding, Sar-Elam becomes the Seventh Dragon.
3ysd: Birth of the Falcon Empire:
Falcon the Great unifies the human kingdoms (founding the empire that will one day become the Haven faction). The Seventh Dragon prophesies that the Falcon line shall endure as long as the world does.
28 40ysd: Wars of Fire - First great demon incursion.
Most of the Angels perish during these wars. The survivors take refuge in the Falcon Empire, which is increasingly turned away from the Dragon of Air and toward the Dragon of Light.
The Seventh Dragon sacrifices himself to end the Wars and repel the demon incursion. Sar-Elam and his disciples seal the demons away to prevent their return.
Until the Wars of Fire, little is known of the elves. It was they, however, who first summoned forth the other races to do battle against the demon armies, and many of the great generals of that war were elves. It is the elves who held the line against the last demon assault as the Seventh Dragon prepared his final spell, not that men remember this now.
During this war the dwarves first reviled to the rest of the world. They fought side by side with humans and elves.
48ysd: The Falcon Empire Becomes the holly Falcon Empire + Founding the Free Cities of The East
Emperor Brian Falcon gives absolute power to the Church of the Dragon of Light. The Human kingdom is renamed Holy Falcon Empire. Dissent grows among many citizens who resent being forced to abandon the Dragon of Air. Many will leave the Empires territory to found the Free Cities of the East.
50 60ysd: The Years of Healing:
Reconstruction from the Wars of Fire and relatively harmonious relations between the races. Creation of Irollan. Great swaths of the elven forests were burned away by the demons, scarring the land and poisoning the waters. Once the fighting was over, the elves retreated to their wounded land and spent the Years of Healing restoring it, planting new groves, cleansing the waters, and expelling the slightest bit of demon taint from their lands. Thus was created the Elven kingdom of Irollan.
62ysd: The Schism of the Seven:
Founding of the Dragon knights, the Blind Brothers, and the Seven Cities
Schism between the disciples of Sar-Elam, who cant agree on the best way to follow the road laid down by the Seventh Dragon and, hopefully someday surpass him. Sar-Antor founds the Blind Brothers, a congregation of healers, seers and embalmers dedicated to the worship of Asha. Sar-Badon founds the Dragon Knights, a martial order disciplined in both body and mind.
67ysd: The Prophecy of the Demon Messiah:
Sar-Shazzar gives the Prophecy of the Demon Messiah, which predicts, among other things, that a half-demon hero will someday shatter the Demon Prison and unleash bloody chaos on the world. The other disciples, led by Sar-Shazzar, the most gifted of them all, lead an exodus of wizards and like-minded humans to found the Seven Cities (the first kingdom of Magic) in the southern deserts.
74ysd: Mysterious Death of Sar-Shazzar
Sar-Shazzar dies in his sleep. When attendants attempt to move his body to the Necropolis for preparation and burial, it crumbles to ashes.
104ysd: The Dragon Knights Become a Secret Order:
On his deathbed, Sar-Badon commands the Dragon knights to build the Hidden Houses, and to retreat to them when they are complete. These strongholds are scattered across the world, dedicated to preserving the teachings of the Seventh Dragon, watching against any Demon activity, and training new Dragon Knights to fill their ranks.
No longer are the Dragon Knights to be prominent or visible in the world. Through the centuries, they will leave their fortresses only rarely, and only in times of extreme danger.
330ysd: 1st Eclipse War of the Blood Moon
A total lunar eclipse provokes a massive rupture of the Demon Prison. The Demon Lords force their way out and wreak havoc across the lands. Armies rally to meet them, but, caught by surprise, they are rapidly overwhelmed.
Called upon for assistance, the wizards of the Seven Cities send their forces into battle. They experiment with demon blood, which they inoculate into human slaves and criminals. The monstrous Orcs are created as a result.
Bolstered by the Orc shock troops, the Alliance defeats the Demons.
The Demons are finally defeated but at a most terrible cost. The Demon Lords are cast down, and the surviving demons banished back to their hellish prison. The Dragon Knights emerge from hiding to repair the prison as best they can, then vanish once again. In the wake of this second demon war, Orcs are re-settled in the Falcon Empire as well as the Seven Cities. They are not granted their freedom, but instead serve as indentured troops.
461ysd: Discover of Necromancy:
Belketh, a disciple of Sar-Shazzar, discovers the path of Necromancy. Necromantic experimentations begin in the Seven Cities.
467-504ysd: The Orc Crusades
Orcish rebellion in the Seven Cities, which spreads to Haven.
Rejecting their masters and the Dragon Gods, the Orcs declare themselves free.
In the Falcon Empire, Crusades are declared against the Orcs attempts to subjugate them and convert them back to dragon worship. The fighting is brutal, and the Orcs are relentlessly driven back. Eventually, the unrepentant survivors flee wherever they can, including the deserts of the south, the steppes of the north-east and the Barrier Islands of the east, a great storm sinks the Haven fleet that was prepared to follow the Orcs to their island refuge. The Falcon Emperor declares this a sign from the Dragons, and formally ends the Orcish Crusades.
512ysd: Creation of beast-men:
Beast-men (minotaurs, centaurs, harpies) are created as servants, playthings, and guards in the Seven Cities.
528ysd: Tuidhanas Secession
His head turned by a band of flatterers, the third Elf king, Arniel decided that elvish power was too decentralized, and the method of choosing a High King too random. Instead, central power was needed to go with a hereditary monarchy. While many objected to this, only Tuidhana, Queen of a tiny realm which sat on the border with the Falcon Empire, chose to act and declared her independence.
540ysd: War of the Bitter Ashes Birth of the Dark Elves:
The Elves of Irollan and the Human Knights of the Holy Falcon Empire are at war, with Tuidhana's kingdom as the main battlefield. Her territory under attack from both sides, Tuidhana makes a pact with the Faceless for the power to protect her people. Those who follow her are changed by the blessing of Malassa, Dragon of Darkness. From this day on, they will be known as the Dark Elves. With the support of their new allies, they will expel both the Elves and the Humans from their land.
The Knights of the Holy Falcon Empire, for their part, saw an opportunity. They marched in force on Tuidhanas borders. She appealed to Arniel for assistance, but her messengers were turned away from the High Kings court unheard. She stands alone, let her fight alone, was Arniels decree, and it was not until humans had nearly overrun all of Tuidhanas realm before he finally acted.
With Tuidhana sufficiently humbled (or so he thought), Arniel marched his forces to the border and engaged the Human armies in the so-called War of Ashes. Neither side paid much heed to the elves whose lands they fought over. Desperate to protect her people, Tuidhana turned to other allies. As her lands were burned and her subjects killed, she made a pact with one of the few surviving Faceless, rumored to have long since been driven extinct. If she would turn herself and her people to the worship of Malassa, the Dragon of Darkness, then the Faceless would grant her the power she wanted. Tuidhana made the bargain, and the Dark Elves were thus created from the surviving elves of her kingdom. Both elves and humans were expelled from the contested terrain, and Tuidhana reaffirmed her independence. An uneasy peace settled between Elves and the Dark Elves
548ysd: The Peace of New Spring:
The Holy Falcon Empire forfeits any claim to elven lands and makes extensive reparations. The Dark Elf kingdom's independence is recognized at sword point by Elves and Humans, but intermittent hostilities persist across the borders.
564ysd: 2nd Eclipse Rise of the Demon Sovereign:
Total lunar eclipse. This time the Blind Brothers had predicted it, and the Alliance, helped by the Dragon Knights, is quick to react. Only a small band of demons manage to escape into the world. The names of the Demon Lords, Urgashs first children, are heard no more. Instead, the name of Mal-Beleth, new and only Demon Sovereign appears.
566ysd: Day of the Tears of Fire Death of Tuidhana:
A massive fire burns down the Elven capital. The High King Arniel dies in the flames with most of his court. Brythigga, the Mother of Trees, sacred to the Elves, is also consumed by the fire, leaving a blackened scar on the earth where nothing would ever grow again. The loss is devastating.
The Dark Elves are blamed and given an offer of exile or death by Arniels son, Vaniel. Most chose exile; the rest are hunted down and destroyed without mercy. Tuidhana remains with her lands and is killed.
The place where Brythigga had stood was stricken from the maps, and to this day no elf will go there. Another Mother of Trees has been consecrated; hidden deep within the forests, but no Elf will speak of her to outsiders
570ysd: The War under the Mountain:
The first dark elves settled on the dwarven border but were obviously unwanted because dwarves started a war to chase them away and so they did after crashing them led by Hadhor Deepstrider Orlandsson Grimsteel.
585ysd: Discovery of Demon Implication in the Day of the Tears of Fire:
The Dragon Knights bring evidence to the Elves that Brythiggas criminal fire was set by a Demon spy.
Emissaries are sent from the forest to the wandering Dark Elves, offering amnesty and inviting them to return home. The offer is refused.
610-660ysd: Rise of Necromancers:
The Necromancer presence grows until they are a powerful political force in the Seven Cities
717ysd: 3d Eclipse  Dragon Hunt
During a brief lunar eclipse, a band of Demons escapes into the world. They seek out the hidden strongholds of the Dragon Knights and begin a bloody secret war. The outcome of this conflict is unknown to date.
751 770ysd: Purge of Necromancer Civil War in the silver cities:
Jealous of the power acquired by the Necromancers, the Seven Cities initiate a large-scale persecution, ranging from the seizing of their properties, to banishment, to the spectacle of public executions.
A long and gruesome civil war ensues. The ancient cities are destroyed and much of the land is rendered uninhabitable.
756ysd: Death of Vaniel:
Vaniel is succeeded by king Alaron, whose eye is turned outward from the forest. Slowly, he re-establishes stronger contacts with the other races.
Alaron provided aid to the Wizards of the Silver Cities in their wars against the Necromancers, and encouraged traders to come to the elven borders.
771ysd: Foundation of the Silver League:
Survivors of the Seven Cities establish the Silver League in the lands to the south. Necromancers flee east to the haunted valley of Heresh.
813 822ysd: War of the Broken Staff:
The Necromancers attempt to crush the newborn Silver League but their plan goes wrong and finally Heresh is invaded instead. The Necromancers are utterly defeated and their kingdom shattered.
843ysd: 4th Eclipse Falcons Last Fight
Total eclipse. This time, the Demons storm the capital of the Falcon Empire and massacre the royal house. As soon as the Demons are repelled, fighting breaks out as the various noble houses attempt to claim the throne. Duke Ivan of Griffin conquers the bloody crown. The Empire is renamed Holy Griffin Empire.
951ysd: 5th Eclipse War of the Grey Alliance
Total lunar eclipse. Demon armies are confronted by a new alliance. Emperor Andrei Griffin pursues the Demons into the very underworld, and is killed. His soul is rescued by the Dragon Knight Tieru, and bound up in the artifact called the Heart of the Griffin. Andreis son Nicolai, aged 6, ascends the Imperial throne.
During this war the Western humans led by Andrei Griphonheart
Join the elves led by Alaron and the wizards.
969ysd: 6th Eclipse Queen Isabels War
An eclipse not forecast on any calendar grips the Blind Brothers in a panic. The Demons emerge in force and march towards Havens capital. This war will be known as Queen Isabel's War and is the topic of Heroes Vs campaign.
970 YSD - The Holy Alliance
The 6th Eclipse War is over. The empire has been restored and the Soulscar threat is out of the picture. Queen Isabel and Raeleg get married, and have a half human half dark elf son named Redar. Prince Andrei, the rightful Heir of the throne, is taken away to grow with the Church of the Red Brotherhood. The head priest, Arsem, raises Andrei like he was his own child.
988 YSD - Rise of Agadar
Redar is 20 years old, and the Brotherhood is now a strong force in the Holy Griffin Empire. Arsem dies, and Andrei takes his place as the head priest. The Brotherhood starts to worship Elrath's brother: Agadar.
989ysd: Expedition for the Skull of Shadows:
The thought of this event remains hidden to the world of Ashan. None ever understood about the existence of the man who was suppose to be the dark messiah but has cleansed himself from his demonic nature, captured the skull of Shadows and used it to seal the demons away as far as it is possible.
991 YSD - The Procession
Torch procession in the day of Agadar, leaded by Andrei, over 300 000 people are in this initiative.
King Raeleg sees the Brotherhood as a threat to the empire, and the Brotherhood is banished.
Many of the Brotherhood members leave.
996 YSD - The Symbols
The remaining followers, hidden within the Empire as a cult, begin planing a revolt. To draw more worshipers, Andrei declares 3 symbols for the Brotherhood: The Red Crow, the Mighty Griffin, and Agadar's Flaming Sword.
998 YSD - The Red Order
As members are trained into warriors, the Brotherhood has its own army: the Red Order. As 400,000 members are in the Red Order, Agadar contacts Andrei in a dream. Agadar tells Andrei the following:
3 signs you shall see,
And the Brotherhood will rise,
3 signs and the Griffin will fall dead,
And I'll be on my the thorne of Glory,
999 YSD - The conquest of Karador
The Mage Karador estableshes a secret sect in the Silver League. Consisting of Golem crafters, Genetic moders, Spiritualists and even Necromancers - all Wizards capable of creating willess slaves decide to join forces on "purifing the world" via almost complete destruction of the population of Ashan. Later that year the sect is ready - gathered their army and launching their conquest for reviving Ancient and forsaken Powers. (The Meteor that Karador summons in C2M2 could be the Doom Star)
1000 YSD - The Doom Star
A comet, called the Doom Star, strikes Ashan. The Holy Griffin Empire is thrown into chaos, and Andrei realizes this as the first sign.
1001 YSD - The Signs
Mysteriously, all over Talonguard red crows start to appear. Andrei is waiting for the last sign, which appears 3 month later. As the sun set, its light shine over the Altar of Haven, making it look reddish. Suddenly, a red Angel bursts from the sky and lands by Andrei. A new troop for the Red Order, and the last sign, the Seraph is Adagar's word of war.
1002 YSD - The Religious War
The Brotherhood declares war on the Empire. For 6 months, the Red Order fights with guerilla tactics until Talonguard is weak enough for an invasion. The Brotherhood takes over Talonguard and from there the whole empire.
The Empire calls for reinforcements as Raeleg leads the Empire against the red Order.
1004 YSD The Fall of the Empire
As the final siege is won by the Red Order, the elves arrive. 50 000 dark elves attack Talonguard, but are defeated when an army of Seraphs led by Agadar himself, emerge from the sky and destroy the elven forces.
Queen Isabel and Redar are executed, but Raeleg manages to hide underground. The Holy Griffin Empire is no more as the Red Brotherhood rules and the Sanctum is built.
I'll soon bring you some bios starting with andrei.

@Cepheus: Sorry to disapoint you, but those Animations don't work either, I have the MOD as well.
@Serpent: I have soem comment on your Karador part, there are some typos in it and it should be much earlier as the Griffine Empire is still normal when he gets there, so if I can make an edit:
999 YSD - The conquest of Karador
The Mage Karador estableshes a secret sect in the Silver League. Even if I link the project I've decided not to link the Campaigns only the MODs so now I want to know wich Factions should get another Campaign, it is for sure that Sanctum and Necropolis will get one and maybe Inferno (Depends on what happens to the Demons in the end of DM can someone HCM me on that one?) we can make up to 11 Campaigns if we use Neckie's MOD big thanks (9 if ToK will be included) We have 9 more slots so we can also give each Faction a Campaign and end it with a mixed Campaign or we can just make 4 Campaigns if we don't use the MODs I want some help before we should make a storyline.

Ok, i made the edit. My preposition to name the reobrned MOD Revival of the Ancients still remains. Andrei bio is coming tonight and I'd like to kow your concept ofg htat necro char remaining with no bio yet so i could make that too. By the way DM has 4different endings:
Option1. Succubuss Xana(evil char) is with you in the end. You free the demons and they devastate the world lead by
Kha-Beleth.
Option2. Succubuss Xana(evil char) is with you in the end. You don't free the demons, but use the scull of shadows for your(and her) evil purposes - qonquering the world. You become the King of Evil and she is your Queen.
Option3. Sorceress Leana(good char) is with you in the end. You betrai her and free the demons letting Kha-Beleth qonquer the world.
Option4. Sorceress Leana(good char) is with you in the end. You don't free the demons and use the scull of shadows to fortify the demon prison and the barier bitween it and Ashan. You then become a powerful and respected mage and leave happily ever after.
So take your pick!

I really need to finish DM, I'm only half way (I guess) But does this meas Sareth is the Dark Messiah? I did not see tha coming even though I think Ending 4 would be the most suitable for a sequal. I have a good idea now Sareth (and maybe Leanna) should be Campaign Characters even though we don't know what Sareth looks like we only know his shape (Or do we actually get to see him near the end) We could use Duncan's Model, do you think this would be a good idea?

Hmm, I would think that a public modification would contain animations for a unit it includes. Are you absolutely certain that they don't work at all?
About the story, I know this kind of thing is probably typical of me but do we have to set the storyline in Ashan? We'll just end up tripping over ourselves if ToTE (or Heroes VI) produces any significant twists (such as some characters dying, some kingdoms falling etc) and after all, how do we explain the appearances of Vokial, Galthran and whoever else if they're from a different planet?

I'd stick to the ashan story. Besides we can explane that as a match of names. On the other hand I'd suggest to rename Sandro to Belketh - the discoverer of necromancy in ashan.
@Kronos1000 - Yes, Sareth is the dark messiah but we don't come to see him in the end - It's hust his shape we've got. Bu the way if we use Sareth and Leana as campain chars they should be chars in an Academy campain cus we have no free cities race. So that means: Sanctum campaign, Necropolis Campaign, Academy Campain for certain right? But what if Karador's qonquest has somehow helped releasing the demons? That would bring us to the oppertunity of an Inferno campaign - that makes 4 and if everyone has 5missions that makes 20campaign maps - not bad i think. Besides i suggest thatwe get unique looks for EVERY char - not just the campaign ones. And about sareth looks we shouldn't forget that he's Izzie's son - we could us the texture for some char sad to be from the greyhound duchy.
