((Also, would a retcon for the draloed history be a possibility? To be honest when i created him years ago, i wasn't thinking much. he was a generic shy kid and to be honest i don't like rp'ing him (not that i do that well anyways)... plus i don't like that he is albino and i had not capitalized on any of his aspects at all. i don't feel there is room for development in him. even a slight change would be nice.))

“Our big problem is going to be getting the people that can’t walk away from here, and quickly. Does anyone have any Pokemon with Psychic or Confusion?”

"Staying here would be an even bigger risk than having to fight outdoors. If they decide to attack the walls instead they could bring the roof down over our heads and take care of those trying to escape out the exits. If we are caught here we are trapped, if we meet them outside we will at least stand a chance. I have no idea and therefor no input as to what we will do regarding Ternai."

Gah, this is a really tight spot. But we are always on the run. What does bandra even want? it seems like they already control much of helnith. Whatever resistance we can provide is minimal right now... How did we get onto this silly quest anyway. i remember we started off coming here to help find that bird... Salerdia. I still have her medallion. We went and were attacked outside the tournament. i fled and was captured by bandra. but with help from a raichu i escaped and made it to ternai... Then i went into that old tower. And i fought that guy. And i got this medallion... What else could be in that tower, there has to be more to it. and this medallion has to have something more. i know now it is a mark of light but why did i get it... why was i chosen to receive it?

Draloed shies away from the main room and travels outside. He found a quiet place and started praying over the medallion again. He was never very religious. As far as he was concerned the most real deity he knew was articuno who had graced his homeland one day in his childhood. he has heard legends of greater deities but he renounced them as fairy tales. But the medallion was different. it felt more real than any of those other 'gods'. He had called on salerdia before. and had usually seen some vision that he could not understand but it had been a while since he had last tried. maybe things would be different.

Stacey kept her eyes closed until she heard the meeting start. There was too much movement to keep on watching, being as tired as she was. Soon, a silence occurred, followed quickly by a single voice. She figured that this was the time the meeting was to start. Stepping close to the table, she leaned against its corner. Stacey was having trouble keeping up with the conversation, having to think about what she heard long enough for it to become clear. The were caves, slides, towns, and other things that mostly got lost in her mind. The map only helped a little. Out of it all, she liked the idea of going out to get support.

Partway into the meeting, there were a few goings. They happened in a pretty rapid succession, which made Stacey feel a little dizzy watching them. Later, they all come back, which didn't help in the least. The last she heard was a request for anyone with Psychic or Confusion. She stepped back from the table.

"Confusion, no."

She fell back, to the corner of the room, out.

"Well you know you can count on Mr. Mime and Psyduck..., and with Dubba we'd have at least three"

“We’re probably going to need you for the roadblock,” Mina told Zack gently. Misty was definitely in trouble; Mina doubted Zack would be so lacking in confidence if the redhead hadn’t yelled at him earlier.

Meanwhile Elren looked considering. “Lijan, do you still have that Kadabra Dien gave you?”

Lijan temporarily shook out of an unfocused daze. “What? Oh! Yes,” and he pulled out a Spectral Ball presumably containing same.

“You have an idea?” the Elder prompted Mina, which Mina interpreted to mean ‘mind telling the rest of us what it is?’

Mina nodded, “Yeah, if we’ve got Pokemon that can levitate objects, we can have them float stretchers to transport everyone that has to be moved and get out of here.” It was the smoothest ride she could think of, save not moving anyone at all. “This is assuming we’re going to keep running of course. If we’re going to stay here, it won’t be necessary.”

Her personal feelings, despite her general exhaustion, were that they ought to get the main force moving to Ternai Town as soon as possible. She hadn’t been too keen on the destination when they originally decided on it back in the Shrine (it was twice as far away as any of the other towns), but what Christian had said had merit: Bandra had tried to retake it once, odds were good they’d try again. However they knew that for now Ternai was friendly territory, so stashing the Squad there would solve two problems at once—keeping the Squad safe and protecting the town.

“Either way me, Zack, Misty and Christian” Elder Elren looked unhappy again; Mina resolved to corner him after the meeting “will go up and block the road.” Zack for his Archeokat of course. Herself for Natu, in case they had to get out of there in a hurry. Misty with Dubba in case the Rock type decided to ignore Zack or to back up the retreat, with Zack’s Mr. Mime on hand with Copycat to back Dubba up—and Mina hoped fervently they wouldn’t need the level of redundancy they’d be bringing. Christian because he’d already volunteered, though being able to keep her eye on him a little longer was a bonus. ((Mina doesn’t know Christian’s supposed to get back to Moontear obviously.)) “If the rockslide goes well, we’ll make our way back to the rest of you. If it goes badly, then I’ll have Natu Teleport us out of there and we’ll make our way north, and we’ll meet up with you all at Ternai Town as soon as we can.”

((Okay people, vote time: Run for Ternai now or make a stand here? Also if you want to use or suggest a tactic, do so now; Zelgius already brought up stashing the wounded in the caves IC, we can trap the Center up to the rafters, we can try to call in help from the nearest towns, or we can just leave it as-is and save the time to run.))

----------------

Draloed:

You focus on the Mark of Light and attempt to commune with Salerdia.

You are flying again; weary, and aching, and very battered.

Things have changed a great deal in the five years you were imprisoned—and not for the better. Most of the vegetation is dead, the air drier than it should be, the wild Pokemon gone or in hiding and even the
people are scarcer than they had been. The damage caused by your imprisonment is everywhere, and Team Bandra has gotten very powerful in the intervening years as evidenced by your current state.

After the battle at Stardust City, you went to visit one of the Town Elders in a settlement along the coast, fearing for the safety of the humans there. But you arrived only to find the entire place emptied of life, save a handful of humans in Bandra uniforms patrolling nearby…

…and one other.
That one had been different from the rest, a young man dressed in black and red. Someone who was confused and in emotional pain…

…fade to white…

"Alright. Count me in." Zelgius muttered, walking to the door to wait for the rest of the group. "No matter what, I'm going to have to show you where to start your rock slides. Maybe... No, an avalanche is out of the question. I'll lead one or two people to the places that I spotted on the side roads, blocking of all easy ways to the center for miles. After that, I'm going to start placing some traps, assuming all goes well, that is." Zelgius looked back at the others. "So, are we going to do this now or wait until morning?"

After Mina had spoken a silence laid itself upon the room, like a big warm blanket. It seemed like it was now time to decide what to do. Zack had not had much to do with the Starlight squad and felt maybe it was out of his place to be the one to take part of such a decision. On the other hand, this was a meeting for everyone and clearly it was in the best interest for everyone to have a say on the matter.

Zack tried to reflect upon what had been said the best he could. He felt that they had to hurry, precious time was being used and seeing Zelgoius already standing at the door, it was hard to make a rational decision.

"Screw it!" Zack thought to himself: "I'll go with my intuition now and hopefully someone will protest if some major error presents itself"

As such, Zack once again rose and said: "I think that we should:
store the those who can't be moved, in the caves.
Trap this place up, so it'll delay the Bandra forces more than the time it takes us setting the traps up.
Move for Ternai."

Zack didn't realise it up until now, but what if their traps happened to target some people who actually had nothing to do with all this mess and where looking for shelter from the Bandra forces? He considered bringing this up, but then again, he didn't believe they had the time for such concerns, if only they somehow just could disappear.

Zack readies himself for following Zelgious ((after the voting is done)) and realises they'll have to wake up Misty.

Once at the door, he took a look at Zack and Zelgius before saying "Don't worry, this plan will work. And with Mr. Expert here and my Geodude working together, creating a rockslide will not prove to much of a hassle."

Sarah observer as the elder and the black-haired girl exchanged words about how to proceed. Ever since the misunderstanding earlier this day Sarah imagine this girl ((Mina)) to be some kind of leader over the small group that had arrived. Sarah evaluated the possibility that the dark-skinned boy ((Zack)) could be it as well, but the theory was quickly scrapped as he appeared to be too nervous and impulsive for the job.

Just a few minutes ago Sarah had considered the plan to evacuate all the wounded and weak all the way to Ternai to be near impossible without casualties.(Not that she personally minded those risks very much)
But to use psychic Pokemons to transport these people seemed like a perfect plan. Sure it would still take a lot of time to reach Ternai, but they would have no problem getting there before Bandra.
All they had to do was to keep the Bandra at bay just for a little while, something that the black-haired girl had included in the plan.

"Yeah this is the way to do it" Sarah thought, no need to store anyone in dark caves this late.

But in order to be where the action is she decided to join the group of people that was going to make the roadblock work.
She stepped out of the corner of the room where she had been standing this whole time and told the "leader girl" that she wanted to join. Sarah ensured that her Pokemons would come in handy, and that she would do as she would be told((huh, is that how you say it?))

Main group:

((And on behalf of our sleeping members Misty and Stacey, some more input…))

“I think we should run for it or try calling for help,” opinions one of the Squad. ((Alkar’s vote))

“We can’t call for help and trap the Center,” another points out. “If anyone comes they’ll walk right into it!”

“So what are we gonna do?”

“I don’t know, we…” The conversation quickly breaks down into disjointed discussion as the Starlight Squad try to consider their options.

“Hey wait,” pipes up another of the lower-ranking Starlight Squad. “What if we tried to flood them off the road? With Surf, maybe, and then knock the Center over with Earthquake to make sure Bandra doesn’t get it?” ((Mytical’s suggestion))

Sesh archs an eyebrow at the blue-eyed lieutenant. “Lijan? It’s your Pokemon.”

“Ryskimara won’t be able to take out a sizable number of their force alone,” Lijan answers solemnly, “but we’ll take the risk if the rest of you need the time to escape.” ((In other words, if you lot decide you need him to.))

"Errr...." Christian started to think "Ok, new plan! Trap them between a surf and a hard place! If we could start a rockslide on top of theirs heads, it is inevitable that they will try to avoid it. Now, right after the rockslide settle down we see what side of the wall the Brandra is stuck on and send a surf down the road to push them into the rocks! Then we follow it up by an earthquake and hope the Brandra get the point!" Christian smiled while his mind gave him a pat on the shoulder "You do have some brains after all!" he told himself.

Zack noticed a girl he couldn't immediately recognize. "isn't she one of those people who tried to block our access to the center before?" Zack concludes. He hadn't got a good look at her before, but now he could see how beautiful she was. Her hair was almost floating through the room, its golden colour in perfect harmony with her beautiful violet sparking eyes. Her figure was thin, but in no way did she look malnourished. No she looked just perfect.

Zack couldn't help staring at her, it must have looked strange, so he quickly asked "What is your name?". Though just after asking he quickly started to blush and to hide it he turned around, his back towards the girl. Realizing how awkward it must have looked, to ask a question and then turn your back, he could feel the heath flowing to his neck, certainly it was about to turn red. "Oh please, for heavens sake, let's get moving, now!" Zack thought to himself.

“Just remember that this is going to be fast and risky; we aren’t going to have the numerical support the main group has.”
"Fast and risky eh?" it sounded delightful and intriguing for Sarah. She hoped that this time it would really be Bandra even though she knew she shouldn't. While caught up in her own excitement someone suddenly took her attention.

"What is your name?"
She turned and looked up and saw that it was the dark-skinned boy that had asked the question. However strangely he turned around just a moment after he'd asked. Sarah didn't know what to think of this guy, earlier during the meeting he had just sitting and observing just like everyone else, but for some reason he had turned red and acted weird as if he had some kind of decease. Then he stepped up to everyone to revealed some kind of grand plan similar to the one currently in progress. Even more strangely after sharing his plan he had just stormed out of the building without waiting for any kind of reply.
So considering these odd behaviors and the incident early today, Sarah had no clue what to make of this peculiar boy, but without too much hesitation she replied to the man standing with his back towards her:

After wandering around for what seemed like hours, Jak (although happy he had found a few useful items in the wreckage) was beginning to become annoyed.

"Starly, return"

Starly jumped out of the way of the pokéball's beam and glared at Jak.

"Fine, but you better keep up."

Jak rummaged around in his pocket until he found what he was looking for.  Although worn from rough travel, the dusk ball in his hand was still just as sturdy as ever.

"Poochyena!  Come on out."

In a flash of white light, Poochyena emerged from his pokéball and stood waiting for orders.

"I need you to sniff out Sarge.  He wandered off again and Starly can't fly up above to look for him."

Poochyena began sniffing the ground in an odd zig zag direction.  Without warning, he caught a scent and took off towards a wooded area.

"You ready Starly?  We're running!"

Jak and Starly took off down the road chasing after Poochyena.  Suddenly Jak came to a halt when he saw that his pokémon had stopped running.
Poochyena just stood there and blankly stared at a pond in the distance.

"You ok buddy?"

Poochyenna began to wimper, something Jak rarely heard.  Whatever was up ahead had scared the pokémon into a halt.  Starly also just stood there and slowly lifted his wing in the direction of something large and white near the edge of the pond.

"What is that..."

Jak:

((During your wanderings…))

The Gym is echoingly empty at first glance, but an examination of the living quarters in the back yields some basic supplies with long shelf lives ((food, Pokechow)) and a Protein overlooked by the looters.

The abandoned Geology Club yields more interesting finds. Visually it’s unimpressive: there’s a largish hole in the roof letting in the regional weather, the displays have been smashed and looted, and the prevalence of droppings and loose black feathers among the debris suggests a flock of bird Pokemon either roost here or have recently. But discarded in a corner as if useless you discover a battered pack with its contents—mostly tools—spilling out onto the floor, and pinned to the wall you find a map of the region (though most of it is torn away):

Afterwards in the burned down ruins of the Mart, you unearth an Antidote, a Burn Heal and a trio of Potions buried under a collapsed shelf. All seem a little scorched but are otherwise usable.

And it is then that your Poochyena begins to whimper.

((By the pond…))

You approach the pond and come across a surprising sight. Gazing down at the pale debris at the bottom of the pond is a huge white bird Pokemon unlike any you’ve ever seen before:

Even without your Dark type’s unusual display of timidity, you can tell that this is the sort of Pokemon your former employer would have cheerfully wasted lives obtaining. Standing it is almost eight feet tall, with a long white neck, a crest like a crown and markings in blue and gold reminiscent of the sun at full noon. As you watch, you see a single tear roll down the Pokemon’s cheek and drop into the water with a ripple; the algae in the vicinity turns white.

It’s about then that you realize that the pale shapes in the water are bones.

“Don’t be afraid, young one.” The voice is kindly and female, the eyes that meet yours sapphire blue and full of compassion. “You aren’t safe here but I won’t hurt you. What are you doing here?”

Main group:

((Okay, with B-E-T-A’s clarification we’re 5-2 in favor of having the SLS run while we go block the road, with two abstentions.))

The Starlight Squad hammers out the rest of their discussion and finally decide to run for it. Most of the Squad scatters to prep the wounded and strip anything useful out of the Center before they go. Mina goes to wake up Misty while the others prepare.

((Now you’ve got time to bug people for Pokeballs Ohforf. And depending on Mytical Mina and Misty should be back to chat soon, so Christian will have opportunity to talk to everyone all together. Anything else before we head off?))

----------------

Mina:

Mina left the others as the meeting began to break up, found somewhere private and called out Natu. He stretched his wings and fluttered up to her shoulder to climb over her while she addressed him.

“Hey my dear. We’ve got another mission.” Mina scratched under his beak. “We’re going to go block the road so Bandra can’t get through, back where—” Belatedly she remembered he’d been unconscious at the time they’d run into Mr. Lorend and crew “—at a place about a mile up the road.” Mina gestured in the appropriate direction.

Natu had climbed up onto her head at this point and was staring at her upside down; now he nodded and trilled in a tone that Mina interpreted as ‘yeah, go on.’

“Can you take us back here afterwards?” Mina made an encompassing gesture indicating the Center. Natu made a contemplative noise Mina took to be an affirmative. “Okay, good. If it goes badly can you get us somewhere else?

Natu’s trill sounded doubtful this time.

“Well, we’ll just have to hope it doesn’t come to that then.” She really hoped it didn’t come to that in either case; she didn’t know how good ‘Kerry’ was at detecting teleportation and would rather not risk telling Bandra where they were. On the bright side, if the rockslide did go badly and they had to Teleport away, they’d hopefully lure Bandra into following them rather than the Starlight Squad—

Though admittedly it won’t be much of a bright side for us if it happens.

Mina gave Natu a reassuring pat and went off to find Misty.

----------------

Mina and Misty:

Mina found where Misty had been dragged off to and woke the redhead up via careful application of cold water to the face. The Johto trainer gave her enough time to regain consciousness before speaking.

“The Squad is evacuating now. Me and some of the others are going to rockslide the road out of the Shrine closed to slow down Bandra. We’re probably going to need Dubba’s help, so you’re coming with us.” Mina’s voice, which up to this point had been calmly level now chilled considerably. “But before that, you’re going to apologize to Zack.”

"If it's for putting people and pokemon in danger, then yeah.  I got what I deserved.  If I were my pokemon, or the other pokemon, or even the rest of the group..I'd never forgive me either." she shrugs.  "So you want to yell at me, go ahead." she just stands there, shoulders slumped, looking defeated.

The group started to split up, first Mina, then Zelgious and then Christian. Zack wasn't quite sure where the others were going, at least it didn't seem to be in the most direct direction towards outside. He came to the conclusion they were probably going to wake the sleeping members, though he was surprised why the boys wanted to follow suit, when what they needed was more time, not less.
Though as the conversation seemed over and Zack stood with other people from the group, he decided it was probably the best possible opportunity for him to borrow a pokeball. This way he could also get his attention away from the beautiful girl who were still present in the group.
He turned his direction towards Brona, asking if he could borrow a pokeball, with promise of buying him two pokeballs when they reached the next mart.

Zelgius:

You follow Mina until she calls out her Natu and starts chatting with it, while the bird climbs parrot-like over her head and shoulders. This appears to be going nowhere and Christian calls you back to the planning stages of the rockslide until Mina and Misty rejoin the group.

((Pay attention please. Mina left the room, and Misty wasn’t there to begin with—she slept through the meeting. You’re nowhere nearby.))

----------------

Mina and Misty:

“I can forgive you for the tactical blunders and stupid type advantage errors,” Mina replied coolly (and ignoring Natu, whose brief trill sounded suspiciously like ‘ooo, somebody’s in trouble.’) “We’ve all made them. I can even forgive you for breaking our cover, in spite of Mr. Lorend back there” Mina gestured in the direction of the out-of-sight lobby “changing his tune three times in as many minutes, because it isn’t as if you haven’t done stupid things before.

It didn’t hurt that the whole situation had turned out as well as could be expected; if it had been Bandra waiting for them—or, say, those Pokemon Hunters they’d run into on the way to the Shrine—Mina doubted she’d be so forgiving. Of course, if that had been the case, they wouldn’t be having this conversation because they’d be dead or captured, and their Pokemon even worse off…which was part of the problem.

And even now, hours later and with a little more sleep to think about it, Mina still couldn’t figure out the redhead’s logic: the guy had been shouting threats and obvious lies—doubly obvious to the group, as even without him backtracking on his own statements, they’d had the Starlight Squad monitoring Bandra’s radio waves at the time (and thus knew Bandra was nowhere near the Center), and had known very well they weren’t all about to freeze having climbed through the mountains the night before. After that, there was absolutely no reason to believe he was friendly. To compound it all, Misty had been halfway through a plan to get him out of their way, but then dumped it and broke cover without so much as a word…why…?

No matter now. Mina’s tone took on carefully measured disgust. “But then you had the outright gall to lecture the rest of us for impatience when you were the one who blew our cover and couldn’t even be bothered to explain your own plan! And now Zack’s got confidence issues he did nothing to deserve, all because he tried to follow your instructions and save your hide.” Mina’s voice regained its façade of calm. “I can put up with stupidity Misty, but I’m not putting up with base betrayal on that level. I don’t care if you don’t understand how badly you’ve screwed up. You are going to fix it, and you are going to go out there and apologize to him and the others, or so help me, the next time you blunder that badly I’ll leave you to get out of it on your own.”

Brona frowned. "I only have great balls." he answered. "If you wish to borrow one you might, as long as you buy me a new one once we reach a Mart."

Zack smiled as he heard Bronas response. His initial facial expression had been worrying, did he not like the thought or was he just concentrating? It was not so much because the pokeball was so important, but because he'd secretly had doubts if Brona had forgiven Zack for capturing the Archeokat. He took Bronas willingness as a sign of this whole affair had been solved, that he had been worrying without reason and responded: "Thank you very much! I'll remember to buy you a great ball at the next mart".

After recieving the great ball, Zack places it in his backpack and just then, he saw Christian comming back with a big smirk on his face. Zack wondered why, until he saw Zelgius comming in from behind with a big red mark across his face. Zack couldn't resist producing a grin himself.

((Former post edited to fit that Christian and Zelgius came back))
