Mark:
Some of the sourness goes out of Dien's expression. "You don't need to bother the Elder about that. Yes, we met him just outside the Shatterhigh Mountains. He disappeared shortly after we retreated from the area; no one's seen him since."
----------------
Christian:
The Murkrow appear to have fled over to the pond on the south edge of town for the time being, so you head over to the Pokemon Center, passing by burned out shells of buildings on the way.
One wall of the Center looks like it was hit by a boulder and there are obvious empty spaces where expensive equipment has been taken away. Torn and weathered magazine pages litter the floor, and the doors leading out of the lobby have been battered off their hinges. A closer examination shows they had been hastily barricaded before someone tried to beat them down. It appears to be as deserted as the rest of the town.
----------------
Brona:
((Hsst. Ruins are in the north wog. ))
Scarcely ten minutes go by before you find what you're looking for--a largish patch of loamy soil just off the road. The patch is surprisingly well-hidden, being nearly invisible from the road despite its nearness: it lies at the bottom of a depression deeper than you are tall, with a steep slope opposite the road and rough cliff walls making up the remaining sides.
It's filled to bursting; no fewer than four Berry plants have taken root here, and there doesn't seem to be space for any more. There also doesn't seem to be any sign of other humans having been here, as all four have a slightly withered look that suggests they've only gotten water sporadically.
You also get a short text from Mina within minutes of the find, reading only Found some.
----------------
Mina:
((Note: For those of you keeping track, this is the same spot Stacey found a few days ago.))
Pidgey called Mina's attention to a secluded nook in the ruins, where a pair of Berry plants were growing. Mina was faintly familiar with the Chesto plant, but the other was unknown to her: it was bright green like a miniature evergreen, and hadn't yet bore fruit:
Mina examined the strange plant, wondering if it belonged to someone. It didn't look as withered as it could have--the Chesto plant was worse off--though it certainly hadn't been watered recently. On the other hand, there weren't any human footprints in the vicinity, and after the rain yesterday she would have expected some sign to--
Mina almost smacked herself. There HAD been that thunderstorm yesterday morning, and if the whatever-it-was had a growth period of longer than a day, it would have gotten rain. She frowned, considering her options, and took a moment to text Brona while Pidgey swooped about overhead.

(( I'm just testing you))
Not having any idea what kind of berries were already there, Brona decided to pick them all to make room for the ones he were going to plant. He got to it and picked them, which didn't really take long. After, he planted the berries Mina had given him and brushed some of the dirt off himself when he was done, a satisfied grin on his face. He sent a text back; Found some, planted yours. Heading back.

Inside his head, Mark heard the sounds of thunderous applause. A lead to where Zelg had gone! Outwardly, his smile became genuine, if a bit nervous, "Uh, thanks. I guess that I'll just be... um... see you around?" He backed away and waved nervously to Dien. Once outside, Mark walked briskly, picking up his pokemon. He sent out Spinarak and Raltz, "Let's see if we can't get you to evolve, little buddy." Spikarak hissed at him a little. "Er, little friend?" It glared at him, but seemed to be alright with the modification.

Draloed and Stacey:
((I’m going to take your mutual dead silence to mean you need a poke. ))
As you finish catching up, an echoing voice booms through the arena. ”Who comes to this Gym?” A female figure steps out of the shadows, dressed in a dark green fighting uniform with a headband holding the hair out of her eyes. Both of you recognize the Gym Leader Pellana ((Draloed from his previous matches and the invasion of Ternai Town, Stacey from the invasion of Ternai Town)). She gets a closer look at you both as she approaches and her voice takes on normal tones. “Oh, it’s you. Did you come for a match?”

Stacey was just about to decide to leave when Pellana came in. She was a little unsure who it was until she came in view.
"A match?"
Stacey wouldn't mind a match. Though, from what she could remember of Pellana's pokemon, she wasn't sure her normal types would do too well.
"Well, sure."

“Official matches here are one on one, with each of us using up to three Pokemon. Either of us can switch Pokemon at any time, and there’s no time limit. You’re allowed three item uses for the match, not counting whatever your Pokemon are holding—any more and you disqualify for the Badge.” Pellana pulls a small metal object out of her pocket to show you: it’s round, with points on either side and a cat’s-eye set into the center. “And that’s it. Any questions?”

Mark claps a little and recalls Ariados and Raltz. Maybe if time allowed he could level up his other two pokemon farther, but for now he should try to find the group that went with Zelg. The first thing to do would be to ask around for a group that was tagging along with the Starlight Squad, and where better to get gossip than the local mart?

You head over to the Mart again. Inside a couple of battered looking trainers is browsing the shelves, quietly talking to one another while the Mart owner watches patiently. A handful more are browsing the stalls outside, most either more of the battered- and exhausted-looking variety or obviously locals.
