Mark is slightly disappointed at his failure to use diplomacy. as battle or running like hell are the only options and he can't just leave Sarah here on her own... "Skarmory, use leer. Go, Arados!" He sends out the newly trained spider pokemon, because it looks like the creature still has allot of fighting spirit still in its body.

Skarmory’s typing and general durability protect it from what looks like a nasty blow. The Skuntank’s tangled tail jerks under the force of its own attack, generating a muffled snarl from the quadruped.

The purple-and-cream Pokemon lunges sideways to avoid the attack, but isn’t quite fast enough. Instead the spiky pod tangled in its fur scrapes across Skarmory’s body—and impossibly punctures the Steel type’s tough hide, lodging in place!

Sarah had just been standing and watching as Mark's pokemons charged the smelly and purple beast. She had completely underestimated the strength of the poison typed one, and it was clear that Mark needed her help.

Grateful for the help, Mark told Skarmory, "Alright, we've got friends. Come here so that I can get that thing off of you." With his prosthetic limb, mark attempts to remove the burr, with his normal hand he applies a potion to Skarmory.

You make it to the Pokemon Center without incident.
The building is busier than usual with the influx of refugees, though obviously not all of them are there for medical attention. Several of the Starlight Squad are taking advantage of the down time to unwind; Dien is feeding a flock of bird Pokemon outside (mostly Murkrow with a single out-of-place-looking Chatot), while indoors a pair of younger members are playing cards in the lobby. An older Squad member is talking seriously with an intense-looking young man, presumably one of the townsfolk based on his lack of injuries or signs of exhaustion.
Fortunately as it’s been more than a day since the Starlight Squad’s arrival in Ternai Town, most of the major medical emergencies have been taken care of, and you are able to get your Pokemon healed in short order.

Mark and Sarah:
((Venom Ball Roll = 90))
Mark throws the ball with admirable accuracy and the skunk Pokemon is engulfed. The Venom Ball shakes once, twice—then it gives a mighty heave and splits open, rendered useless.
The quadrupedal Pokemon looks as though it wants to flee after its temporary engulfment; fortunately—or perhaps unfortunately?—Sarah’s Trapinch senses the other Pokemon’s intent, and shallow walls of earth erupt to encircle the battle field ((Arena Trap)), leaving the other Pokemon no choice but to attack. The Skuntank, enraged by maneuver and the sand in its eyes, charges at the Pokemon responsible.
Skuntank uses Slash! ((Roll = 54)) ((Roll = 44))
Trapinch is hit for 69 damage!
Trapinch faints!

"You can also return Nidorino, you're way too weak to continue."
After She recalls Nidorino she sends Hippo out.
"Okay Hippo my boy, use Take Down!"
((If Mark still want to try to catch the Skuntank, then Hippo uses Yawn instead of Take Down, but it's up to Gnomes.  ))
